2 families, same reservation... DDP help!

Hello, we will be traveling with another family and staying in a 2 br lock off. We are doing the dining plan but they said that we can't divide our DDP credits between the families. We would be using them out of the "pool" of all the credits. We each have 2 kids so that's 8 people trying to manage on the plan.

Anyone deal with this? Was it hard? Is there ANY way to have the credits split up?!?!

this summer daughter, son in law and granddaughter plus us were in a cabin. when we ate at different restaurants credits were taken off total for each meal. we had no problems with the group pool of credits. nice thing was when we ate together did not have to explain who was on which band

There is no way to split up the credits, so be sure everyone knows how the plan works and what they have. It might be a hassle, but it might be worth a stop at your front desk every night or every other night to get a print out of all meals/snacks eaten, so you can keep a running total. Each family will have 8 snacks per night. I see that one being the hardest one to keep track of.

I wonder if there is a tracker app that could be applied here. I'm also travelling with multiple families (my crew of 6, my sister & my DH's parents).

Same issue here - staying in a 2 bedroom villa with my brother and his family for 2 weeks in August...thats nearly 200 snack credits!!

It will either be:
- shared spreadsheet on Google Drive/Dropbox
- keep all receipts and I will tally everything up each night
- give everyone little slips of paper for each credit and they throw out each slip when they use the credit.

Aso open to other ideas. I am paying for most of the trip (they r just paying for their tix). Although I originally asked them to cover their own food, I got free dining and will likely cover tips too.

I just downloaded an inventory stock app on my phone.
I put in all the snack credits (SC) table service (TS) and quick service (QS) for our trip. It takes about 2 seconds to deduct the stock so I should be able to keep track. You can even add a note which shows up very clearly to differentiate.

I just downloaded one for my samsung last night. I don't know much about it, but I'll bet there are some compatible with both operating systems.

Just another note of caution. Please, please be sure EVERYONE knows exactly what they are entitled to each day. There was a post here a year or so ago about ONE person in a family using ALL the snack or QS credits in just a couple days, because they thought they only had their own on their own KTTW card or something like that. The poster was trying to get Disney to reimburse them, and that didn't happen. ALL the credits are on ALL the bands. If they are getting extra snacks or meals, they need to make sure they tell the cashier they want to pay OOP and NOT use a snack credit.
