Oh boy this is a first for me LOL I'm usually on top of my trips months & even years in advance. Well this one just fell into my lap at the last moment and I jumped at it.
Travelers:
Me-Dania-33- Expert Disney Traveler. Been to Disney 5 out of the last 7 years. Worked the Disney College Program twice, 2002 & 2005. This is my first time traveling in the fall.
Robin-30ish- Expert Disney Traveler. She's been to Disney just about as much as I have. We have been friends for over 10 years now and this will be our third Disney trip together.
Robin had been to Universal before but never to Islands of Adventure. I have never been to either so this was a first for us both. Neither of us are roller coaster riders so many of the rides were out for us but we still found lots to do.
Our first day in the park was 10/1 and we returned again on 10/2. We headed right for Suess Landing when we arrived. There was little or no wait for all of the rides so we caught them all.
The Cat in the Hat- We rode this three times. We both loved the themeing. I espically loved the effects during the ride.
One Fish, Two Fish- We both got soaked on this ride. I tried to follow the pattern of the song but no matter what I did I still got soaked.
Carroseusal(sp?)- I rode one of the animals and had fun making it's mouth open & shut.
High in the sky trolley- We rode this to get out of the rain. We only had to wait maybe 5 minutes. It was alot of fun to see all of seuss landing from the sky.
If I ran the zoo- We took mostly pictures in here but also tried some of the interactive stuff.
Jurassic Park Discovery Center- We explored this over both days. I espically loved watching the eggs. That was really cool.
Storm Force- We both rode this & loved the cool effects. We also commented on how much wilder this was than the tea cups.
We had lunch at Circus McGurkus(sp) on our first day and it was really good food.
As you can see we didn't do alot of rides but we did have alot of fun.
