taking my son for 2 days mid January a tues/wed

a few questions. he is interested in hp so I'll need a 2 day 2 park pass.
When I tried to book on universal's site, it only included a 1 day 2 park pass with the overnight
So I'll probably have to book everything separately. It looks like the hotels that include the express pass are about $100 more for the night. I'd rather not spend it if not necessary.
Orbitz has 10% off rooms right now and I guess UT is best price for tickets.

Any other suggestions? I'll have a car since we'll be coming from the World. I'd leave it at the hotel we pick and take shuttles. Do they charge for parking at the hotels?

We're dvc and ap at the land of the mouse so not knowing "everything" is rough. :)

onsite hotel parking at the deluxe is $20 a night.

cheaper parking at Cbay.

Parking is $28 a day...if you stay onsite, you can walk to the parks.

Thanks for posting this! Although I've been to Universal several times since 2010, my next trip will be the first time that I'll be staying onsite--at the Cabana Bay Beach Resort. And it never occurred to me that there would be self-parking fees at the hotels. I'm so used to WDW resorts where self-parking is free*. But now that I know, I'll be prepared.

Thanks again! That's why I love the helpful DIS community. :goodvibes

*Or at least baked into the room rate. ;)
