I apologize if this has been asked/answered before (I did a search couldn't find the info I need).

We are going to WDW the first week of June. My family is splitting up for theme park visits, as DH and DS are doing SeaWorld/Discovery Cove. So DH and DS will only be spending 2 days at WDW. I seem to remember that the last two trips we made to WDW, they sold (unadvertised) 2 day passes at the gate for a minimal discount (but a discount none the less!). My questions are:
1) Do they still do this?
2) I know you can't "park hop" on these passes, but can you visit 1 park one day, and a different park the next day?
3)Does anyone remember the amount of $ you save on this?

Thanks in advance for any help/info!

Sounds like you last visited before Magic Your Way was instituted.

You start out with a base ticket. The base ticket will get you into 1 park per day and expires 14 days from first use.

From there, you can add park hopping for $40, as well as Water Parks Fun and More for $50. You can also add the non-expiration option which is priced based on the number of days of your ticket.

The base tickets are sold for 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 and 10 days.

So - yes, you can get your 2 day ticket. There is NO discount on these tickets, anywhere. Discount brokers typically only sell tickets that are for 3 or more days. And Disney only giveds advance purchase discounts on tickets of 4 days or more.

Thanks for your replies. Just want to clarify...are you familiar with what I am talking about? I realize that with MYW you can buy a 2-day ticket, etc...and that they are not discounted.

But the past 2 times I have been at WDW (2001 and 2004) they offered these unadvertised 2 day tickets at the gate only. When you went to purchase your tickets at the booth, the person selling the tickets told you about the 2 day option. Again, it was not a big discount, but it was a discount none the less.

Are you saying that because of MYW they no longer offer these? Sorry if I am being redundant, but I just want to make sure that we are talking about the same thing.

Thanks again to anyone in advance...

Disney does not have the special: second day at a discont promotion any more. Universal and Sea World, I think, still do have these promotions during less busy times.

But at the same time, back then when Disney had that promotion (once called Bounce Back) that was the only kind of two day ticket.

The discount for the second day back then was about five dollars off of a single day ticket price of about $55.

For non-hopping passes, each day you can choose the same park or a different park.

If you are planning multiple short visits over the years, a non-expiring 7 or 10 day ticket is a much bigger bargain.

I had to buy three of these, no hopping, one park, no extras on 1/2/06. They cost $133 each.
