2 Day single park: can I go to one park each day?

Sorry this question may be stupid, but I just wanted to make sure...
I intend to buy the 2 day single park tickets for Universal.

Can I go to one park each day? Or do I have to go to the same park both days with this kind of ticket?

You can go to Islands of Adventure one day and Universal Studios the next day. You just can't do both parks in the same day.

Just keep in mind that if you intend to ride the Hogwarts express, you will need a park to park ticket.Single park tickets will not work
