It's $69 to $89 each way for ATL to MCO. Says through Nov 19 but there were sale prices for dates even in January. I booked Jan 25-28 on Delta for $180 round trip.

Oh wow, thank you SO much for letting me know Delta was price matching!

I saw the Air Tran sale and was coming to check out how they were. I was worried because I've never flown them before and I know they don't let you reserve seats beforehand. I'd much rather fly Delta, especially since we still have some price adjustment vouchers from our Disney trip that expire at the end of November.

We're actually flying to Atlanta to visit family--See, I'm not even going to WDW and I'm still getting good advice on here:)

PS--I love the pics of your triplets starting Kindergarten! My oldest starts next month and she is so excited!!!

Sara, good luck to her on Kindergarten! And glad I could help with the sale.

Why don't people patronize the airline that starts the sale prices? Why reward Delta when AirTran made the low fare possible?

Why not? I don't see how this is even relevant or pertinent to my OP? :confused3

But since you asked... my FIL works for Delta, Delta will put us on another carrier if there is a cancellation (AirTran doesn't have reciprocity with other airlines), and the flight times were better for me.

As I mentioned in my post my two main reasons were because I have credit vouchers for Delta and because Delta will allow me to choose seats beforehand rather than worry when we check in that we won't be able to get 5 seats together.

It's just like when any product goes on sale and causes price competition...am I going to choose the one that did it first to "reward" them or am I going to choose the best product for my family? In this case Delta is the best choice for us.

Although it's a moot point for us anyway because dh nixed the trip :guilty:

I wasn't calling you out directly, you shouldn't be so defensive. We all share a common love for Disney. I was making a general observation.

By the way, why don't you get your FIL to give you some buddy passes on Delta. Then you and your family could fly for free :)

Delta's buddy passes are all but non-existent with the cut backs, filing bankruptcy. You fly standby. I have 6 year old triplets, one of whom is special needs, so there is NO WAY we can fly stand by.

And as a sidenote, we are flying AirTran for our Sept trip because it was the better deal for us then.

I didn't think you were calling me out and I didn't intend for my response to sound defensive...I apologize if you think it came out that way. You asked why people did it and I was just listing why we were doing it, that's all.
