2 Castles, 2 Send out 2011 & Ring in 2012...12 Days of Christmas

I had no idea there was a parade, much less a Macy's parade at USO. Dangit! I had planned to get into IOA and USO early on our 1 day and finish up by about 4-6pm and get on over to WDW. Now I wonder which I should choose - stay for the parade, or get on over to Whispering Canyon Cafe and the decorations at Fort Wilderness. Decisions, decisions!

dang I'm never here early enough

I try to post them at different times of the day...so maybe tomorrow! Glad you are popping in to see me!

Now I wonder which I should choose - stay for the parade, or get on over to Whispering Canyon Cafe and the decorations at Fort Wilderness. Decisions, decisions!

:cool1:Sorry to mess up your touring plans...but I think you might not have to choose :woohoo:...here are the official times for the parade:

December 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, 18 at 5:30pm

December 5-9, 12-16, 19-25, Jan 1 at 5:00pm

December 26-31 at 8:00pm

There is also a Holiday Village at USO...

While you're in the park, make sure to explore the Holiday Village. It's bustling with unique gifts, delicious treats to eat and drink, and fun crafts for the kids. It's the perfect place to slow things down a bit in-between celebrating.

Open at 12pm – park close

There is also Mannheim Streamroller during your dates...

Adding to the celebration this year is the return of Mannheim Steamroller! They're the biggest selling Christmas artist of all time, and Universal Studios Florida is thrilled to welcome them back for live performances on select Saturday and Sunday nights in December.

See them live on the following dates and times:

December 3, 4, 10, 11 at 7:00PM
December 17 & 18 at 8:00PM

Well it is official (meaning paid for)...we are going to be searching out this symbol while at WDW

What plan did I book....

deluxe.jpg

I crunched the numbers several times and this is the best value for us...deluxe is a value even when we leave credits unused right now based on the ADRs I have (when I added up all the meals, I come out about $300 ahead)! I see us at table service ordering the 3 adult meals (Ab and I split a meal...Boo can order an adult meal that way and we can all share) plus Goo will get the child meal and share samples of the adult meal. We also will get to do a few 2 credit tables...looking into CRT right now for a time available.

I think I should deduct about 100 points for this response (giving you -50 for a score)...that was the year I graduated from high school. :rotfl:

Really? I don't think of you guys that age.... deduct points?!?! Okay no more of naming years!!! :rotfl2:

Awesome!!!! I can't wait to see your "food porn" pictures from everything! I hope that you get a CRT that works for you... someone said that if you can't get it now try again around your 45 day mark because a lot of people's trips cancel or change at that point!
I am too late for the questions today!!! And 11 points was fair- thank you! I didn't know most of that stuff about her!

Wow you are an arsenal of information! I haven't even thought about planning for our USO/IOA day. Looks like we can probably catch that parade before we head to WDW. I doubt my group will want to stay for Mannheim Steamroller, even though we do like them, and it would be great homage to my dad, who LOVES them. They may rather get on over to the World.

So exciting about the Deluxe DP!! Yay!

Yes!!! TGIF!! I hope you have a great weekend! We are looking at a college for DS tomorrow. The college search has begun! Yikes!!

I have to admit that I have a thing for all things that are sweets and carbs...my two favorite food groups. On my first trip to Epcot we were still full from lunch as we passed by the bakery...and our mission was clearly on that Grand Marnier Slush so the bakery just got a passing glance. This trip I am thinking of using a few snack credits prior to departing Epcot and picking up some pastries for the next mornings breakfast. Some of the samplings include: cookies, croissants, eclairs, mousse, palmier ("Elephant ear" pastry), quiche, cheesecake, souffle, tarts, cheese platters and sandwiches...

With today being 50 days til our trip it perfect to showcase one the places I am looking forward to our family eating at...the 50s Primetime Cafe. I hoping on this trip we get a really fun waiter/waitress who is totally into their part. My first trip, she was not so much with my friend and myself...but with the tables of families she was having a blast. I loved sitting and watching old clips of the Mickey Mouse Club...and I loved all the knick-knacks!

And the milkshakes were pretty yummy too!

And the Boston Creme Cupcake...the perfect flight breakfast the next day!!!

Well I have to make sure to hit that patisserie. When I am in France, I usually get sidetracked at the Grey Goose slushie and never make it back into the pavilion. :rotfl:

Congrats on Day 50. Doesn't that feel awesome?

You reminded me about our ADR for 50's PTC. Why is it that you can't consistently get a good cast member that's "into it"? Do you think maybe they gauge groups to see if they'll play along and maybe hold back if they don't think you will?

Saturday's Trivia Question:
In the Muppet Movie how many billboards did Kermit and Fozzie encounter along they way? What was on them?

Guess what movie we are watching tonight?

I love the patisserie. I even used a cs credit there last trip. (yes, the sandwich was VERY yummy) That napoleon is so good.

I will be anxious to read about your 50's experience. We have never been there....

You should let me know on FB that your going to post the question and then wait for me to write OK and they come and post....

:rotfl2:JK:lmao: How was the movie night though? I'm waiting with baited breath!

When I first started planning this trip, there were 2 places I really wanted to stay...either POP or a Boardwalk resort! POP just looked like so much fun, but there was no way that I could justify the cost of 2 rooms to fit our family's needs...which really made me sad! But thanks to flights not working out, dh gave me permission to add another day to the trip...and since the savings of flying the next day I felt like I could purchase the 2 rooms at POP for the 1 night. So I plan to send our luggage to POP, head to the DHS for the morning and early afternoon, then check in at POP and explore the resort before heading to our last night dinner at Ohana!

And I want to make sure and get a piece of this for a midnight snack!
