In the Hunchback of Notre Dame, what was the name of the Captain of the Guard, and what actor supplied his voice?

Captain Phoebus de Chateaupers He is the Captain of the King's Archers. His name comes from Phoebus, the Greek god of the sun (also called Apollo), with whom he shares handsome looks and skill at archery.
He is voiced by Kevin Kline in both the film and its sequel.

I am coming back later to comment on your post... right now I have to go pick up some stuff from the store!

Before you get excited...no, the southwest fare for the later flight on January 7th did not go down...so I have not rebooked our flight and we are still departing MCO at 7:45 am...which means:scared1: 5:00 am ish ME...still thinking of booking a private car service that morning....

BUT....

The fares for the 7:45 am flight dropped last week by almost $100 per ticket, so I now have almost $500 in credit with SW...but sadly it has to be used by each person not in a lump sum credit to be used my me...and we fly so little (if at all) as a family. DH though made the comment after I told him we had the credit, "Well, I guess we will have to go somewhere then..." you could have knocked me over with a feather when he made this comment, my dh who hates to travel. Still $100 would buy roundtrip for a weekend in Dallas or San Antonio...or Corpus Christi so he could go fishing...or maybe 1 way to somewhere else fun!

I'm sorry for all that crashing down on you at once. Sadly normally when it rains it pours. I hope you get to a happier place soon so you can enjoy the final weeks before disney and your trip!

Great news on the credit though!

I will have to take you tourning tip for the treehouse! Still I am amazed at that house! It's a lot better than my house and given the choice I'd choose theirs!
Thank you for the points!!!!! I have to catch up somehow! :lmao:
I am so sorry about what's going on with your friends from work! I would like to hope that people grow out of that highschool drama stuff, but I guess that they don't! And as they get older I guess that it gets harsher! I am really sorry and I hope that you feel loved here though! I won't cast you out!!!!!
And as far as your family..... I'm really sorry that they aren't there when you need them right now! It sounds like they are being seflish and I'm sorry for that! I hope that you find a happy place in your life with your kids and DH! You have a beutiful family and seem to be a very nice person I have come to know in these short months so be proud of yourself! Somtimes your kids and DH are all you need and those really close friends that stick by you!
I hope that things are getting a little better and you come back! I miss your posts of movie nights!
I love San Antonio! I miss Texas!

It's like my momma always said..."The tallest trees catch the most wind." And you expect that to some extent when you are in junior high/high school but not as an adult... yet the wind still blows. I'm sorry your colleagues are being such jerks because they totally are. Just keep rising and walking forward.

And I'm very sorry for your loss, as well, and the family issues.

Just popping in from my DIS hiatus! Your trip is getting so close :D I need to come by later and catch up

:woohoo: That your dh has committed to going somewhere with the credit. I know that we have a small one (Zoe and I) and I do not know what we will be doing. We probably will lose it. I also have a bunch of rapid rewards...and don't know if I will use them since the next place my dh wants to go is Hawaii. He has decided! :rotfl2: Ok, so it isn't my first choice...or even my second or third, but I always get my way so it is time he gets his. Still... it is funny cause I was just today looking at San Antonio. Someday I will get to go there...

DH proposed to me on Christmas Eve near the Alamo...the Riverwalk is pretty at Christmas...although no where near WDW!

Question-2.gif

I am working on my touring plans for Animal Kingdom. Here is the question I need input on...do we need to do K.Safari more than 1 time?

211.jpg

Each ride is different. I have found our best ride to be the ones that end right before the parade starts. Seems there are alot more animals out and about then, often eating. We also like to ride first thing in the morning. So my vote is two different times of day.

Go glad you stopped in...I am going to have to go see if you have new pictures of Alex posted!
!

As you already saw I do :) I have some more to post tonight from our trip to Helen a couple of weekends ago. We've been busy! :goodvibes

As for KS more than once, I really don't know but I think Tink's answer is good! I've heard first thing in the morning is great since that's when they feed them so they're all out and awake and eating and close to the trail. That's the only time I've ridden it and it's been great.

It depends on how your first ride goes. If the animals are out and about your first ride you might feel that's all you need. If the animals are being shy you might have better luck at a different time. We had an early morning ADR at TH and headed to the safari as soon as we were done and saw lots of animals and were happy to move on. If it's really important maybe schedule time for 2 but if you don't need it use the time to explore the trails or the tree of life. AK can be done slow to really enjoy the details or rushed through running from attraction to attraction.

I am working on my touring plans for Animal Kingdom. Here is the question I need input on...do we need to do K.Safari more than 1 time?

211.jpg

We typically only go once, but I agree with the two pieces of advice you have received... 1. in the late day right before closing the animals are just about to be brought in..so they seem more active to me (like they line up to go be fed or something:confused: 2. If you go early in the day and they are not out you can then gauge if you want to go in the afternoon.

Isn't there a Disney in Hawaii?

Yes, but he said no Disney. Plus...it is pretty spendy. Kinda more in line with how much DL hotels cost.

I am not sure if I am ready for it to say one month...hee hee I am taking a personal day Monday (mainly to go to Goo's All Saints Day Mass...yes, I know a day early but it the 1st is a holiday in our Catholic Schools...each year the Kindergartners dress up as a Saint for mass)...the rest of the day I am going to be wrapping 24 Advent Countdown Reveal Gifts!

I hope you get lots done on Monday. I need to have a full day to get caught up on stuff. :confused3 I just don't seem to be getting anywhere. I thought about stopping to shop after work today because I wanted to pick up a toothbrush holder for WL. (tip if you haven't heard this one...get a tb holder that has suction cups on it. Stick that to the mirror and voila no more tb in a cup or worse yet...one the counter. :crazy2:) Anyway...didn't go, but it is little things like that that will suck up time..and yes, I agree that the time getting down to a month...not sure I am ready either. Where has this year gone????

And as for the question... I couldn't find a picture, but thought I would share a youtube video. It is one of the reasons I miss going to DL. One of my favorite Disney Park Shows. It is amazing!

Aladdin in DL

Just the little bit I watched makes me want to see it again. However, I am not sure it is even there any more... we have not been to DL since 2007 :sad2:

Who doesn’t love a lively Oktoberfest, even when it is not October! I can’t wait to experience the traditional German Oktoberfest entertainment and be part of the merrymaking…especially if they play that darn duck song/dance. I am sure that dh will have to drink a few steins of German brews along with his bratwurst and kraut…me I am looking for some good German wine along with the Bavarian Cheesecake and some apple strudel…”das ist sehr gut”!
