2 Castles, 2 Send out 2011 & Ring in 2012...12 Days of Christmas

That is part of his name....but I want his FULL NAME! And dang you are fast! :thumbsup2

I had to look this one up...haha Abraham de Lacy Giuseppe Casey Thomas O'Malley. I am glad I was able to answer another one. I haven't been able to get on here.

YUM the crepes look good. Were they hard to make??

I'm glad you reached a decision about the flights. I'm sure just deciding makes it that much less stressful. You'll find the flight - I don't think it's a big deal to wait on kayak either - here's some :goodvibes for a great flight to be found!

Happy Double Digit Dance! Love your animated celebration you posted! :thumbsup2 AND the Royal Pacific resort looks amazing! I think the tropical feel is what pulls me back to the Polynesian. :cloud9:

Holy moly, I missed a ton of updates. I knew I wasn't spending as much time on dis..but :scared1:

So great movie nights as usual. I have NEVER watched the Aristocats. I think after your review...I must do it!

Sorry to miss all the trivia. :sad2: Ug... life has been busy this week.

Last... AIRFARE!!! :rolleyes: I am not sure why you and I seem to be driven nuts with it...but we sure do have a time with it. So you figured out your return... but here is a suggestion on the flight to orlando - why not look at flying out on the 26th? Maybe extend your day one more on the other end (and since you booked sw for the return it would be easy enough to switch that return flight to the next day. (believe me...I have switched our flight down twice now) I don't know what the flight times or costs would be... but here is a pros could be this;

1. Go to Midnight Mass at your home Church.
2. Wake Christmas morning and have plenty of time to do all the Christmas stuff and the reveal
3. make the inlaws happy cause you could spend some time with them on Christmas.

The con:

1. waiting until the 26th
2. not arriving FOR Christmas day
3. Maybe the cost?

99. Italian Margarita & Cheeseburger in Paradise at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville on City Walk

I would not call myself a parrot head, but I love Jimmy Buffet's music. In college whenever he came to Denver my sorority sisters and I would always get general admission tickets on the lawn and just have a great time together (sure miss those sisterhood days). Last summer during an afternoon rain storm at USO, Pam and I decided to get out of the rain and spend some time in Margaritaville. We split a HUGE order of nachos and then set out to sample a few frozen concoctions...

There's booze in the blender
And soon it will render
That frozen concoction that helps me hang on

Wastin away again in margaritaville
Searching for my lost shaker of salt

My favorite concoction was the Italian Margarita! I love amaretto liquor...and this one sure delivered.

So I plan to have an Italian Margarita along with a....

Well good god almighty which way do I steer for my

I know there are so many other things on a menu other then cheeseburgers...but one of my favorite foods is a good hamburger!

Can you believe we are FINALLY in double digits???

I'm sitting at home watching college football, catching up on the DIS, and hoping my sinus infection leaves as quickly as it came in.

Do you remeber when we all were waiting to get under 200 days! Time flies when we are together on the DIS...okay maybe it is the world around us and our busy schedules other than the DIS! I hope you are feeling better, and it sounds heavenly to sit back for a few moments. SATURDAY was CRAZY around here!

Good job...gonna give you 2 points for searching this one out!

No, crepes are not hard to make...if you do not mind them not being perfectly round. They are quite easy and fun...and very yummy!

I love the POLY too, but for some reason the Boardwalk just had more pull for me! I think lived on the east coast in my former life.

Holy moly, I missed a ton of updates. I knew I wasn't spending as much time on dis..but :scared1:

Still thinking things over about the flight...can you believe it, I get my homebound flights decided and book and then I am back to working on departing flights again. Jeff told me to do what I wanted with flights and use the company credit card (hmmm...a little too much fishing in the sun in Mexico while I am at home...maybe I should send him a little more often away! :lmao: I have been really working on PAYING CASH ONLY for our trip and so far I have done great...I will post later about my thoughts about what to do on flights cause I have a couple of options I want options.:thumbsup2

98. Breakfast at Chef Mickey's

I know that a lot of people are not pleased with the food quality at Chef Mickey's, but I am going really for the experience. First of all, this ADR will be right after our official check-in at the Boardwalk Villas and our first official day at WDW, which is going to be spent at Epcot. I want the kids to really know they have arrived at WDW, so what would be better than taking the bus to MK and seeing the Cinderella's Castle and walking across and having breakfast with Mickey and the gang. Then riding the monorail to Epcot!

Our family are breakfast eaters, well at least on non school days. If we eat a large breakfast we are set until dinner time! I am looking forward to my first Mickey Waffle, a Pluto Cheese Blitz and some of those cheesy potatoes.

I love Chef Mickey's!!! I only have been there for breakfast but I didn't mind the food. Like you said I go more for the experience.

I love your count down! How fun to watch the things you look forward to as you get to the number one thing. I wonder... what will that #1 be?

I really hope the flight situation gets sorted out. :thumbsup2

Thanks Ann...you of all people can relate to air travel messes!

I really am not going in any kind of order on my countdown, whatever pops in my head that day or I look over the list I have been making for the last 250 days! Probably #1 will be LEAVING!

I know, right? I have received so many flight change notices for our return that I have lost count. The thing is... since I booked dh and ds together and then dd and I together...and the guys on the airline site and dd and I on orbitz... I have yet to get anything regarding the guys. Dh wonders if dd and I got moved to a different flight while they are still on the same one. (the flight numbers have changed multiple times) I am afraid to even look. :scared

OPINIONS WANTED

Okay now that the shock and the fustrated over my departing flight being cancelled I am able to sit down and really think the departure through based on my current options. I think I have it narrowed down to 2 flights and have made 2 departure day plans around my reveal. I like both plans..so, I want your opinions...

Plan A (Plane Departs 8:46 am)
Let's Get Going Plan, Mom is too excited to be home after hiding this trip for over a year now!

6:00 am Get Kids Up
*Stockings & Santa Gift
*Trip Reveal Gift
7:00 am Leave for Airport
7:30 am Check In
*Breakfast snack…grab something in airport during 2 hour layover)
4:17 pm Arrive in Orlando
5:30 pm Arrive at RPR
7:00 pm Dinner at Churrascaria on Citywalk
10:00 pm Bed...early day in line by 6:30 am for early entry into WWofHP

Plan B (Plane Departs 1:05 pm)
“Mickey’s Christmas Once Upon a Christmas Morning”

9:00 am Kids Stockings & Santa gift…begin movie
*Breakfast & Movie (66 minutes)...watch Disney Once Upon a Christmas with Mickey themed food
11:00 am Gift Opening & Reveal
11:30 am Leave for airport
12:00 pm Check in
8:45 pm Arrive in Orlando
10:00 pm Arrive at RPR...bed...early morning in line by 6:30 am for early entry

*Not sure on this plan how to arrange dinner plans...our one layover only allows for an hour in the airport...which really means about 30-45 minutes. So the kids better eat a good breakfast. I guess I will put a lot of snacks in the travel bags and then see what is open at 10 pm at the RPR.

I think they both have their good points...so either is good. I don't want to throw a monkey wrench in..but I do have a question. So I am sure you know how long it takes to get the the airport. (looks like 30 minutes) However, I know for us...we always have to be at the airport 2 hours before the flight. (not the one that you have) I don't know if your airport is different. I know seatac is pretty large (although not HUGE) but getting through security is always time consuming. We usually just get to our gate and have time to use a restroom and boarding starts. That is with arriving 2 hours before our flight.

If this could be what you need at your airport too... it could put you needing to leave an hour earlier than you are planning and if so then maybe plan B works better. (only cause you will have more time in the morning) I do envy you one thing though. If I have an 8am flight...it means we have to get up around 4am...leave for the airport around 5 am and then get there around 6am. :sad2:

Good points Ann...our airport is 15 minutes away from our house and it is a small regional airport only about 1 or 2 flights leave each hour...so there really is no issues arriving anything but 1 hour before check in.

When we made this choice I decided I wanted Christmas dinner at our resort. This means we will have an early morning presents and reveal but that was ok with us. So option A was the one we made and are happy with it. We also have younger kids (7&2) so bed time and meal times are less flexible.

I am so glad!!! I was honestly a bit worried. Although... now I am a bit jealous ;) 15 minutes? Ug...like I mentioned we will be driving an hour. Plus...those security checks... it will take some time to get through those. So we really do need that 2 hours before the flight.

They both definitely do have their strong points... Option B allows for a more relaxed feel at home and gives the kids to digest the reveal! :goodvibes But you still depart at a time that they aren't going to be asking all day "Is it time yet?"

HOWEVER, I'm definitely Option A... I would want the dinner that evening to kick off the trip. I have no reason why for that... :lmao: Hence, waking our kids up early, surprising them, and throwing them in the car. :rotfl:

Just had to share with you that Erin went to the county fair last week and she tried FRIED CANDY BAR! She said hers was milky way and (I quote) "Mom! It was like the most awesomest thing I've ever ate." :lmao:

Really, Erin? You are a straight A student and 'most awesomest' is what you come up with?? :rotfl:
