2 bedroom VWL / BWV or OKW GV for Thanksgiving week 2007?

We recently stayed at BWV for Tgiving week and loved it. We are bringing family members with us for our next trip (8 people total). I currently am booked at SSR (2 bedroom) but plan on trying to change locations at the 7-month window. We have not stayed at VWL but did eat luch there and toured the resort. Looked like a wonderful resort. We are SSR owners and have stayed there as well and loved it. I must admit that I prefer BWV for the location and boardwalk entertainment. Anyway, I plan on staying at all the resorts eventually. Also- what are the chances of booking an OKW grand villa during this week at the 7 month window? This would be great for the extra space and low point total compared to the other resorts grand villas. I am just not sold on staying at OKW due to the lack of activities and location. Help....

Slim to none during a holiday time. Not sure why you think OKW has fewer activities than the other resorts though. There are plenty of kids programs etc, and water sports and rentals just like the other DVC resorts. Location is so similar to SSR too. In fact, we found we could get to DTD just as quickly from OKW as from SSR.

Oh, and I KNOW I can get to MK faster from OKW than from BWV or BCV.

I think that you would enjoy the VWL at that time of year because of the atmosphere that the Winderness Lodge has. It seems like a wonderful place to spend Thanksgiving with family. However, due to the popularity of that resort at that time of year you may have some trouble booking at the 7 month window. Good luck and I know that you will have a wonderful time no matter what resort you pick!
