2 bedroom that sleeps 9

Hi.
I’m planning a trip for 6-7 adults and 2 children. Looking to stay in a 2 bedroom (not enough points for a 3 bedroom) What do you recommend. Is one resort better than another. Will the refurbished rooms at BCV sleep 9

Refurb at BCV will sleep 8 in a dedicated or 9 in a lock off. You can bring 9 to a dedicated but have to bring a bed for #9 which you probably want to not do.

CCV would be a hard no, as they are limit 8. And I would avoid BYOB units.

I would argue for Kidani or BLT, because they sleep 9 natively and have an extra bathroom.

For that amount of adults those extra bathrooms are amazing! I recommend Kidani if you like AK theming.

We find the 2 bedrooms at kidani to feel much smaller than the 2 bedrooms at BLT. When we have more than 4, we always book a 2 bedroom at BLT. Extra bathroom and more room for everyone to have a little extra space.

Thank you. My husband is not a fan of AKL. We have stayed there once and he doesn’t like the location or how dark it is in the resort.
If we end up with a party of 8, would that change which resort we should stay at?

If he isn't a fan of Kidani, then look at some room tours at BLT. Those extra bathrooms are really important. I don't think it matters if it's 8 or 9. Sometimes I feel like I need 2 bathrooms with just 2 adults and 2 kids! Someone always has to go at the same time.

The 2 bedrooms at BLT look very nice and large.

Off the top of my head, these would be some options with sleeping surfaces for 9. That assumes you have 2 people each in the king master bed, both beds in the second bedroom and the living room sofa bed.

Complications:
- Some rooms have 3 bathrooms, most just have 2
- Some resorts have the newer (more comfortable) queen Murphy Bed in the living room; others have an older style pull-out sofa bed
- Some have the 9th sleeper as a pull down Murphy Bed; others have it as a convertible chair
- Some have the 9th sleeper in the 2nd bedroom--and you'd need to book a lockoff to get it; others have it in the living room
- If you book a lockoff, expect one queen bed plus a Murphy / Pullout in the second bedroom (except OKW which always has two queen beds)


OKW: Pull-out + Chair in living room, two bathrooms
BWV (all lockoff): Pullout in LR, twin in 2nd bedroom, two bathrooms
BRV (lockoff only): Murphy in LR, twin in 2nd bedroom, two bathrooms

Yes. I initially listed SSR twice. The second one was supposed to be VGF.

SSR had the pull down murphy bed in the living room which is nice if you're going to have an adult sleeping out there. OKW is another option but they still have the pull out sofa.

I like BLT and AKL if you have bigger kids because they have the pull out chair instead of the small pull down murphy bed in the living room.

Great summary! Jambo is lock off only.
Those pull out sofas aren’t very comfortable IME (except for the ones that used to be in the VGF which have now been replaced w/ the Murphy pull downs anyway) so I’d focus on resorts w/ the pull down Murphy beds .

Actually the 2 bedrooms at KIdani have more square footage. It might be that the bathrooms are larger or bedrooms instead of the living area.

Have you checked the point requirement for OKW? Their Grand Villa are sometimes about the same number of points as a two bedroom at more popular resorts, and you'd have 4 bathrooms,

Kidani is our choice, love the 3 bathrooms and huge master suite. Also they have very large balconies.

This is where I would say stay offsite and I never say that.

You didn't mention your home resort or what time of year you'll be booking. Some resorts (ie: VGF) likely won't have 2 bedroom availability at 7 months.

I would go for square footage in this case. OKW for sure, as it has the largest 2 bedroom and will not feel so cramped with that many adults. Depending on time of year, you might even be able to score a Grand Villa at OKW within your points allotment.
