I could have sworn that I saw a post on this board sometime ago and somebody had mentioned that they used their points to stay in a suite at the Grand Californian. However when I spoke with my guide yesterday before purchasing into SSR she said you could not get suites at DLR only regular rooms. Can anyone confirm or deny this? I was hoping to convience my family to go to WDW this year for Christmas, but it has been decided that my daughter is still too young for WDW (she is 2) and the parks will be so packed. So we have decided to go back to our original plan of going to DLR, but now that I have a DVC membership might as well use the points instead of losing them. Thanks for the input. If anybody can confirm that you can use points for a 2 bedroom suite at the Grand Californian and happen to know an approximate points amount that would be great also.
Thanks.
Thanks.
but looking at the points chart, there is nothing that specifically says 2br suite. However it looks like all the available views are there, but I don't know about the 2 br suite.
Thanks for the information. I had a hard time believing that you would not be able to use points for something. I realize it will be busy at DLR at Christmas, but I have actually done those parks at Christmas so I know what to expect, I just can't seem to fathom how large the crowds will be and with a 3 year old I don't want everybody to have melt downs. But we may still go to WDW instead just because I am excited to see my new "home"
