2 bedroom or 3 bedroom at Cypress Pointe (not CPGV)?

Hi there,
I think I've asked a similar question before, about the one bedrooms. Basically I'm trying to decide between a two- and three-bedroom suite at Cypress Pointe for next year. There is about a $17/night difference between the two, and we will be staying for about a week - so that's, what, $120 we could save? There's only two of us, but I would be concerned that there would be some noise or what not from the one-bedroom - since it's not entirely "separate".

Does anyone have experience staying in the two-bedroom? Would I be better off just paying the extra for the three-bedroom? Part of me thinks that I could get an entire villa for the price of the three-bedroom (it would be about $87/night).

Opinions much appreciated! Thanks!

:D We stayed in the 2BR last year. The 1BR unit is at the extreme front of the unit and door comes off before you enter your unit (no common entry). You will not hear noise from the 1 BR. The 2BR is large with master bedroom at rear. The down fall of the 2BR is that the 2nd BR is small with twin beds. Since there is only two of you this will not matter. Save the $ and just go 2BR:Pinkbounc :earseek:

I'm wondering this exact same thing, although there are 4 of us. I like the kids to have there own TV. When I stayed at CP last year, the second bedroom was extremely small and no TV. I'm thinking if they start getting on each others nerves, having a 3 bedroom would be nice..... any input would be appreciated.

To the OP, the 2 bedroom we stayed in last year would be extremely sufficient for 2 people. The master was huge and the villa was very spacious and nice.

We just came back from two weeks at CPGV in a two bedroom unit. We did hear our neighbors in the one bedroom unit. I could hear their dishes clanking in the morning and door slamming.

I felt a little guilty about doing laundry late in the evening since I thought they could hear the machines since they are right next to the door that adjoins the units.

During the first week, there was no one in the one bedroom and our unit felt more private.

Just wanted to provide my 2 cents.

Thank you for the posts! Maybe i will try to find a villa or condo for a similar rate...

well, with high hopes for a refurbished pond view with quiet (hopefully "no") 1 br neighbors, i have just booked a 2br CP for 3/12-19 just for me through hotelkingdom.com. i just couldn't justify the additional money just to ensure my privacy.

i've never stayed here, but i think it's a pretty good fit. i bought an annual pass to begin 12/13 (marriott cypress harbour 7 niights then bcv another 7). i hope i'll be ready to go back again for spring break.

if something better comes along, then i'll eat the $20 cancel fee.

i do so love a kitchen and porch and washer/dryer and big bath and big tv with vcr, particularly so close.

I think you'll really like it here. We stayed last year at spring break and it was very quiet.
We are returning 3/17-3/25 this year.

I wouldn't worry about it. We haven't stayed here yet (in Feb) but we have stayed in similar set-ups and have never had a problem with the neighbours. Its still private and we found it no different than being beside someone else in a hotel room.

Is that all it is, is a $20.00 cancellation fee? I was thinking of booking this place as well (Cypress Pointe), but was still looking for my other choices. However, I am having problems finding a place for our first week (Jan.23). If it is only $20.00 cancellation fee, I might book it and keep looking.

$20 is correct booking thru hotel kingdom, as per www.hotelkingdom.com. check out ebay. january is slow month. maybe skyauction too.
