What are the main benefits of the lock out vs the regular 2 bedroom villa. We are looking at staying at Bay Tower

There's a lockable door between the two units and the couch in the studio is an extra bed in the full 2br

A lock off is really a studio and 1 bedroom so each has its own door to the hallway. The studio portion will also have the kitchenette.

A dedicated one will, as mentioned have 2 beds in the 2nd bedroom, no kitchenette and the entire unit only has one main Door.

Does one seem bigger due to lack of kitchen? Is bathroom bigger?

I have stayed in many dedicated vs lockoffs. Can't speak for BLT, but unless you purposely try to look for differences, you don't notice many functional differences. Yes, if you have a lockoff you get the extra door and kitchenette in the 'extra' bedroom and but chances are you won't need to use it if you have a full kitchen a short distance away. I guess the only thing to watch for would be that if you have kids sleeping in the attached studio of the lockoff, there is a chance they could exit the entry door. Depending on their height you could mitigate that by ensuring the latch is set to the lock position above the doorknob.

If there is any difference in space between the extra bedroom in a dedicated vs the attached studio, I certainly did not notice it. Same with bathrooms.
