OMG the day has finally arrived. I am typing this from mi iPhone so sorry for any mistakes! Just about to get up ad hVe a shower then head to the airport! I'm here I'm here! At Disneyland It pored with rain all morning! But we came back to the room had a bit more sleep all was good!

Haven't taken too many pictures yet mostly our food!

Had to wait 4 hours after we got off the plane to check in but that has been the only down side of the hotel so far!

Well we are off to best buys to get a phone. ended up getting a Tmobile internet stick works really well here in Anaheim hopefully the same everywhere else.

Hi Lauren, I'm sorry I missed you leaving but yah your holiday has finally arrived!
I'm really sorry to hear about your health problems a good friend of mine is going through similar things so I know how hard it is and its really about your former employer you would think about 8years they would look after you.
I hope when you come back you can find a great job!

Hope your holiday is going well, pity it rained at Disneyland.

Its the night before Thanksgiving and I can just see Times Square from our room,. They are blocking off streets etc.

lauren i'm so sorry for your troubles. i've experienced the same thing myself (in both the troubles and the work situation) and when i quit, it was the happiest moment i'd had in a long time... you don't work for westpac, do you? i only ask as that's the exact same thing they did to me after working there for 4 yrs straight.

anyways, i just discovered your TR and want you to know this sounds amazing!! can't wait to hear how your trip turned out, especially your cruise -- we have a 7 night western caribbean planned for the fantasy in nov/dec of 2012.

Hey Everyone Im back!! Yes the 9 weeks is over and I have actually been back for 2 weeks getting over my post holiday depression and looking for a job lol.
We had an amazing time away and learned some tips and ticks for everywhere lol but i will post them as I go.

Ok so On with the Show!

We had flown to my mums place on the Friday. So we got up on Saturday morning at around 6.30 although I hadnt really slept all night because i was too excited and kept going through my mind over and over to make sure I had anything. We made it to the airport without a Hitch and Checked in. The lady at the counter was lovely and asked us all about our trip.
Our Flight Details.

Well our flight was uneventful it wasn't completely full but we ended up with someone next to us. wasn't too bad we didn't have to get up too often.
We had lunch and breakfast on the flight I only got pics of lunch i was too busy when breakfast came.

We got off the plane and went through customs without a hitch and our bags came through with no problems. (and Fast)
We hopped on a super shuttle and headed off to the Desert Inn. When we arrived we were told that we couldn't check in yet. I had rang and spoken to them about early check in because the flight is so long. The man was rude and just kept saying your room isn't ready and so I showed him the email i sent to confirm and he still said 3 o'clock. All we wanted to do was have a shower but off we went me almost in tears because that guy was a jerk and I was tired. ( no early check in seemed to be a theme for our trip!)
We had to store our bags so that cost us $4 lucky I had collected a heap of quarters before we left Australia. (perks of working in a bank they get rid of foreign coins.)

So off to Denny's we went for some Breakfast. Oh how I missed Denny's. I had the Breakfast Skillet and Ricky had the Breakfast Burger.

After we had breakfast we went over to Anaheim Garden walk. I refused to go to Downtown Disney because I didnt want Ricky's first impression to be crap because he was tired.
We wandered around the garden walk four about an hour by this time it was around 12 and we still had about 3 hours wait. So we went and sat with our feet in the pool with 2 other family's who had children who couldn't check in.

we went back to the desk around 2.30 after almost falling asleep with our feet in the pool. and there was 50 people in the lobby. When we finally got up to the desk we got another gentleman and he was lovely. He said our room was ready and got all our keys all organised. Ricky and I then walked all the way to the back of the hotel found our room on the third floor and went in. We put our bags down and had collapsed on the bed by this time we were exhausted we both hadn't had any sleep for 2 days and were ready for a shower. So we both had showers and had 2 hours sleep. I wouldnt let us have anymore because i knew we would be awake all night (Which we were anyways.)

We got up got organised and went to the block at orange for dinner.
We went to the Alcatraz Brewing Co. It was nice but we were tired. Ricky had an Asian noodle salad and I just had a Margarita pizza.
Ricky had is First American Beer. The Annihilator Doppleblock.

After dinner we headed back to the hotel. But not before I got a which chocolate raspberry from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory

My happiest moment working for them was when a customer told me I was something that rhymed with witch and my boss stood right behind me and didn't say a word.
He walked into his office and I followed and told him where his job would fit mighty nicely

Ok Day two was pretty Boring we both still didn't feel to good as we didn't have too much sleep the night before so we just chilled in our room dozing in and out of sleep until about 11.30. I didn't take any pictures today, but I know we went for a walk to downtown Disney to have a look and show Ricky around. I'm pretty sure we has dinner at IHOP and just relaxed for most of the day.

Day 3
Day 3 was Our First day at Disneyland. We walked around for a while before we found something to eat. I am pretty sure we had burgers from hungry bear restaurant. We weren't game enough to go on splash as it wasn't warm enough but it was really quiet so we rode every ride at least once. Ricky liked space mountain but wasn't sure about it being in the dark. It broke down while we were waiting in line! It wasn't so bad though people decided that they didn't want to wait so they all left and then it was only a 5 min wait.

After Disneyland we walked back to downtown Disney and caught a taxi back to the block. We had TGI Fridays for dinner and started our massive amount of shopping. OMG This was like unleashing a monster lol.
Ricky had the Ribs and steak combo.

And I had the Half serve Ribs and Baked Potato.

We then went Back to California Adventure and walked around Paradise Pier. I know we also went on California screaming. Its awesome at night.

yay i'm subbing in too. sorry to hear about your experience at desert inn.we're planning on staying there after our cruise in nov/dec and hope they return to being awesome like i remember from our last trip

Sounds like you had a quiet couple of days before hitting DLR.....although (and I never thought I'd be saying this)...... I'm loving the food porn...but where are the pictures of The Happiest Place on Earth???

OK so I have been missing but I am going to try and get some more of this written i have been in a big disney depression slump! I havent looked at the dis for months because i felt like i was going to cry but alas now i am going though purchasing a home the next trip look like it wont be until September next year so its time to get over it and get on with telling you all about this one!! so In my next post we begin again!!
