Money is tight, so we are not certain we need to see a glorified zoo (animal kingdom) even with the new Pandora. We have already seen Universal Studios in Florida and in CA. and also have seen California Adventure, so not certain we really need to see Disney's Hollywood studios.

For two adults, to enjoy Disney World Magic Kingdom and Epcot, is two days enough or rushing it? if two is not enough, then three days?

I was hoping Epcot would take us half a day so we could spend 1.5 days in MK. Your opinion by park?

Thank you. I forgot to mention that if we go, it would be June the 1st.

Depends on what you like. If you do express transportation, you can go anywhere you want to book a fastpass for. On our AK day, we hopped from AK to EP like three times.

Went early, did our 2 fastpasses at AK , hopped to EP and had snack at Sunshine Seasons, used 3rd FP at Soarin. Booked FP to The Land, Scored a lucky FP for Frozen a little later. Hopped back to AK for our Tusker House Rivers of Light package Lunch. Hopped back to EP for our Frozen ride FP. Scored another FP for 8pm Safari, went back to AK and then to our Rivers of Light at 915. That's how one of our Days went on our adult couple only trip. :-)

Limited to 3 days makes it tough. Comes down to what you want to do. Epcot is wonderful if you like to go through the worlds (which we do). Magic Kingdom is two full days for us. Just some much to do and let's face it....its Magic Kingdom! Enjoy your trip.

It really depends on what you are looking to get out of it. Are you interested in riding rides or do you tend to just take in the scenery? If you can only afford 2 days then I would do a half day at Epcot and a day and a half at MK if you enjoy rides. If not, 1 day at each would be fine

At this point in our lives, all of our trips are adults only. And I can't imagine missing Animal Kingdom. It is so much more than a glorified zoo.

If I had just three days, I would do one at each, AK,Epcot, MK.

WIth only adults I would be sure to include Animal Kingdom rather than avoid it. I also would do 1 day at DAK, MK, and Epcot.

OP- skip DAK if you choose, but please do not confuse this gorgeous park for a zoo, glorified or otherwise. It is not a zoo. Of all the parks, DAK offers details throughout that two adults could enjoy and appreciate.

If two days is all you can afford, I would do 1 day in MK and 1 day in EP. If you find you want another day, you can always upgrade your ticket to a 3-day ticket at the resort.

Are you staying onsite? Are your park days June 1 and June 2? If you do 1 day EP and 1 day MK, I would check park hours for EMH and take advantage of any extra time you can get in the parks (June 1, EP has am EMH and June 2 MK has am EMH). With only 2 days, I would plan to go commando at each park, RD to close (or as long as you can last). By doing that, you can get a solid 12 - 14 hours in at each park and with only 2 adults, with breaks for meals, etc. it's probably doable.

Actually, you just spend as much time as you can (afford). DH & I just got back from 10 nights there and felt like we were ready to come home only after that time. We spent most of our time at Epcot and MK even though we did enjoy certain rides/shows at AK & HS. We usually go once/twice a year and get AP's (drive 640 mi.)

Enjoy whatever trip length you have!

If you still choose to skip Animal Kingdom, that's fine, but know that it's a lot more than a glorified zoo :). In my opinion, two or three days are nowhere near enough. Do what you can afford - if one day at each park that you choose is what you can do then you'll still have a great time.

If I were doing a trip with adults only before Star Wars land opens, I would do one day each at MK, AK, and Epcot. DH and I did one day at each park before kids and that was enough for us. If you like rides aimed at little kids (you can get the big kids rides done in one day), do 2 days at MK. If you like to eat and shop do two days at Epcot. If you want some more rides aimed at big kids, a cool animal experience (safari) and neat shows that appeal to both grown ups and kids, hit AK for a day.

June first is right after flower and garden is over, but my guess is the topiaries will still be up - so hit Epcot first. I would definitely think Epcot is a solid full day (to properly tour the countries) and MK would good full day. If you can only afford the 2 day ticket then that is what you can do. Other fun things that don't cost any thing is to do the monorail resort hopping and maybe watching wishes or happily ever after from the beach at the poly.

Animal Kingdom is not a glorified zoo.
Three days is always better then 2.

As an adult who goes to Disney more alone than with kids, I stay away from Magic Kingdom, as IMO it is the most crowded park and a total PIA to get into and out of, my sister usually drives down and takes the car to the parks except MK she takes the Disney transport. I love Epcot to just walk around world showcase after a meal. I also enjoy Animal Kingdom, it is not a glorified zoo, I remember being in conservation station and being able to watch a medical procedure performed on a skunk, it was a colonoscopy due to issues the skunk had, the skunk was very well sedated and it was very interesting.

If you can wait and go in Sept or October Epcot will have food and wine festival, I love it .

I agree with others, I wouldn't skip AK, it's one of our favorite parks and we are adults as well (my son is 36). MK is a half day park for us, we spend part of every day at Epcot (we love to eat and drink) and wouldn't think of skipping AK or HS for that matter. Is it possible to upgrade to a hopper? If so, maybe you could do part of a day at MK/part at AK and then if you think you didn't get enough MK, next day split it with Epcot.

Have you been to WDW or DL before? You said you have been to California Adventure, but what about DL?

Trying to see MK or EP in one day - and expecting to see everything is unrealistic. If you are okay realizing that you won't have time to see all the attractions or do everything - then one day a piece is an okay plan. For two days - I think adding parkhoppers is too expensive.

If you have been to DL - I might actually suggest two days at EPCOT - and be sure to buy your tickets in advance so you can get a FP for Soarin one day and for FEA the other day. TT you can ride single rider as you are adults. On the first day - focus on all the rides and attractions in Future World - and do ALL of them. And then maybe start walking around the countries - starting in Canada. Book a dining reservation some place for lunch or dinner. On the other day - plan to focus more on the countries - but realize that area is not 100% open until 11 am - so things like FEA is open earlier and is the bakery in France - but those are on opposite sides - so you need to plan this. I'd suggest repeating a favorite in Future World first thing - then having a FP in the morning for FEA around 10 am. Then see the countries starting in Mexico (a little backtrack from FEA) - and proceed around. Make sure you see the movies, some of the live performers, and the singers in America. I strongly recommend the drummers and the mime. One of the days - plan to stay to see the fireworks show.

MK and DL ARE different - but if you are familiar with DL - given your limited time - I'd focus on different parks at WDW.

If you have NOT been to DL - then one day at each park is the way to do it if you want to save money.

If you are traveling to FL JUST for 2-3 days at WDW - as an FYI - I find that to be a waste of money. The travel costs are too high IMO - given the amount of time it takes to see all of WDW. WDW takes 4-5 days to see a large chunk of it. And ticket prices decrease on longer stays. So - I'd never recommend anyone spend high travel costs to see WDW in 2-3 days. Now - if this is just a couple of days at the park as part of a longer trip to FL or if you are just driving in for a couple of days from someplace just a few hours away - okay maybe a 2-3 day trip is worth it.

You HAVE to buy tickets in advance and get FP's in advance - and maybe make a dining reservation in advance if you can afford a TS meal. And you need to look at map and make a plan for your day if you want to get your money's worth at WDW. Really.

I personally know two adult couples who have recently been to Disney for a one day trip to one park - and both - despite my urging - didn't get their tickets in advance, didn't get FP's, and didn't discuss what all they wanted to do in advance. Both couples told me afterwards that I was right and really regretted not pre-planning. They were overwhelmed with how much there was to do and couldn't believe the lines. They thought I was a hyper planner. They found themselves frustrated with lines and unclear what to try to squeeze in and spent a lot of time just wandering and feeling like they weren't getting their money's worth.

I would say 1 day at each park and a third day to hop between the two. As long as you know there is ZERO chance of doing everything, you'll be fine. I would never recommend AK in June just because it's miserably hot and there isn't enough to do inside.

Animal Kingdom is not a glorified zoo.
Three days is always better then 2.

For me it has been a 'glorified zoo' except for Nemo and FOTLK - and now ROL. I've made it a half day park since it opened. The Safari is intentionally so rough, and we've never seen many animals - the paths the same way - at least at the National Zoo in DC we always saw the animals.

Everyone has their opinions, and that's great! Dh likes it much better than I do. I feel the same about DHS - only go there for TSM & Beauty & Beast.
