Tony's Town Square-Lunch
We planned on getting a QS lunch today at Peco Bill's, but with the lines long, and we decided to try to walk up to Tony's at 12:30 pm. They told us they weren't taking walk ups. So we called WDW-Dine. We got a reservation for 2:45pm. We got a quick snack and did some rides around 2:15pm we were getting hungry so we headed to Tony's. We checked in and asked to be seated on the patio to see the parade. We were seated quickly, and we remembered that the parade started at 3:30, so it wouldn't get down to us until 3:45 or so. We could have eaten inside and avoided the heat and the sun. Oh well.
We had a great server.
For Appitizers:
I had the Minestrone. It was the best soup, I've ever had. I didn't care that I was sitting out in 80+ degree temps, it just was great.
FH had the Tomato and Mozzarella Salad. He thought it was okay, but not overly impressed
For Entrees:
FH had the Panini of the Day. I don't remember what was in it, but he loved it. The only thing he thought was weird, was that the meat inside of it was cold, while the bread and everything else was warm.
I had the Spaghetti and Meatballs - the meatballs, but out came.
A kids portion. This was fine with me, I wouldn't have finished the adult version anyway. He wanted to not charge me a dining credit because of the mix up, but his manager wouldn't let him. So she did something so internally, they wouldn't get paid for my entree.
For Dessert:
FH ordered:
Chef's Signature Cheesecake
It was a coffee Cheesecake
I ordered: the Ice Cream Bomb
I use the words ordered, because i didn't like mine, it tasted like a Mickey Ice Cream, and I don't like them. FH was so sweet he switched with me. I love coffee, but hate cheesecake, so I ate the top layer off his cheesecake and gave it back. The coffee moose stuff was to die for.
Food:
3.9 of 5...While my food was great. FH wasn't too impressed with his appi or either dessert.
Service:
4.8 of 5...The server was great, never had to ask for a refill and was very attentive without being over attentive.
Overall:
4.5 of 5...I'd go back here again for sure, I'd try to time it to be on the patio for a parade. While we did leave and got a nice front row seat a few minutes before the parade it's a great spot. I got to watch the marching bands, and notice that some were not used to marching. (I dated a Band Geek in High School, and went to all the football games, and my friends and I would rate them, it's just want I do) that was nice, we would have missed that sitting inside.
