We are DH, DW, and 2 teenagers - ages 12 & 15. One is our DD, the other our DS. Deluxes may be out of our range - which moderate do you suggest.

What sleeping arangements do you do with 2 teenagers of the opposite sex ?

How do you keep 2 teenagers occupied at a moderate resort ?

The deluxes have nice game rooms - exspecially the CR.
The deluxes have more themed pools - my DS will not go down a dragons tounge. He thinks it's babyish.
Deluxes also have the daybed to split the teens.
But, alas, the Deluxes may be out of reach of our bank account.

What do you do in your families ?

Thanks :)

You might want to consider a Value resort and get two connecting rooms. Then each kid can have his/her own bed and you & DH can have your own bed. You'll have two TVs and two bathrooms(very important for teen girl) and extra space-there isn't enough room in any hotel for me and my 18yo! Or you can go with a moderate and Dad sleep with son, Mom sleep with daughter. For a week. Maybe more. would not be my choice

You might try Port Orlean Riverside. They have two double beds and some have a trundle bed. I'm not sure how big the trundle is, but it might be a good option for you.

We have stayed at POR and we loved it. The pool is very nice (no tongues :) ) but it does have a slide and a few other fun things in it. It also has some nice quiet pools scattered about. The arcade is nice (I thought I heard it was one of the largest in Disney), the food court is GREAT. The sleeping arrangements would be 2 beds (Maybe Mom and DD and Dad and DS??? and they do have a trundle bed its small but DD never complained about it. They have lots of paths to walk on, fishing hole, bikes and boats to rent and you can take a boat to Down town Disney. My 13 year old loved it there. She was able to keep busy and have fun when we were not at the parks. Good luck . I know somewhere there are pictures of the pool etc........do a search. My vote would be POR. If you are a teacher or nurse check out the Dolphin.....I think it is $139 with the educator's discount and that is another nice hotel for teens with lots to do....good luck!

The trundle is pretty small, about the size of a large toddler bed. Unless one of your kids is tiny, I think they would hang off the end.

I'm 5'5" and a half and my mom is 5'7" we both slept comfortably on the trundle at POR. We just about fought over who was going to get to sleep on the trundle so they wouldn't have to sleep with my kung fu fighter 7 yr old daughter, she's like all knees and elbows in her sleep! Ole Man Island pool had plenty of contented teens lounging around it when we were there and there are also lots of quiet pools just for hanging out in or lounging by too. We love POR as a family, if any of you are on the short side and a side sleeper like me, you might consider POR with a trundle for more sleeping space.

I like the idea of two rooms at a value. you might also want to at least consider WL. They are on the bottem price rage of deluxe and with a good rate might be in your budget. YOu can get bunk beds for the kids and so each will have his own. Arcade is just ok and the pool is fun with a small slide. Food is good at all three resturant choices and it's a boat ride from FW and MK.

Save your sanity and get the two rooms. Trust me, starting around then my family started to need them and my sister and I are both girls. It just doesn't work sticking four adults into a room. My sister and I are ready to kill eachother by the end of the week from being together ALL the time and it takes forever to get everyone out of the shower in the morning and ready for the day. Besides, my parents like their privacy ;) and so do we.

You could also look into renting points from a DVC member and getting a 1 or 2 bedroom Villa at one of the DVC resorts.
