Hey all,

We are a family of 6. Two dads and 4 girlettes (50", 45", 45" & 44").

I'm worried there are some 2 seater rides like 7DMT & EE that we won't be able to ride unless 2 of the girls can sit together in front of the adult while the other 2 sit beside each adult. Can we do Adult+Youngest, Adult+Twin, Oldest+Twin. Are there any rides where this configuration won't work?

Thanks in advance.

When you get to the front of the queue, a CM will ask how many in your party and you'll line up accordingly. I've seen groups of like 20 that wanted to ride Star Tours together accommodated so a group of 6 should be cake.

I think OP is concerned about the ratio of adults to children for ride seating.

What are the ages of the kids? That will determine if they can sit alone and/or sit next to a smaller child on some rides.

Girl's ages ... 8, 6, 6 & 4

So as long as one of the 6 year olds can sit with the 8 year old if Daddy or Papa is present (ie. behind or in front) then we should be okay unless that is not allowed on some of the 2 seaters like 7DMT or EE or Barnstormer. What other strict 2 seaters are there?

When we rode 7DMT last year, the CM said it was no problem for DN8 and DD6 to ride together if we were behind them. But that seems to be CM dependent. I've seen others post that that wasn't allowed. They were very strict with us on Barnstormer that DD6 could not ride alone or with anyone less than 13. They did offer us child swap in that case so one of us could take each of our 3 kids under 7 individually while the others waited.

So for Barnstormer, did it end up being kind of a triple child swap ... Parent + 1, Parent + 1, Parent + 1?

That's basically what happened to us on Barnstormer. My husband wouldn't ride because he's 6'3" and the seats are tiny, so I rode first with the 5 year old, then with the 2 year old while he stayed with the other one. The 8 year old was allowed to ride in his own seat (but was not allowed to sit with a sibling) so he got two rides.

Most rides seems to accommodate three people across, though.

We just got back and we saw a CM turn away a family who had two kids who wanted to ride together. The CM told the family that the adults must ride with the children. The rule is that a child under 7 must ride with someone who is 14 years old or older, OR that an adult must sit in the row immediately behind the child (or children). I think most rides should be able to accommodate your family, if that is the case. Rides that are only 2 seaters will be difficult (like maybe Toy Story? I can't remember the rides that are two seaters. Many at Disney are 3 seaters. Toy Story might allow three in a row, but only two can shoot).

I think most rides at MK and probably most of the parks accommodate either 3 people per row or allow for an adult to sit immediately behind a child.

When we went last year, we didn't have any trouble with my 8 & 9 year old riding together. They were able to ride SDMT and Barnstormer together without any issue.

We had no problems with this. We have four kids and three were under seven when we went (our twins were 6). No one said anything.

Sounds about the same as us then ... DD8, DD6, DD6, DD4.

We're doing the three 2 seaters that I know of (7DMT, EE, TSMM) with FP and DD4 isn't really into roller coasters or aiming laser guns at dots anyway so if CMs don't allow all 6 to ride or let us Child Swap then DH will go with DD6 while DD8 rides by herself. I'll stay back with the other 2 then ride with other DD6 twin when DH returns.
