I am planning a trip and would like to know where we can stay with 5 people. I know that the value resorts are out because they only hold five, but isnt there some moderate resorts that have a pull out bed (trundle bed)? Please let me know, I am trying to do this on a budget (hehe), what is your suggestions.

POR in the Alligator Bayou section is the only value or moderate that will accomodate 5 people in one room. They have trundle beds.

We stayed there last year. It's a lovely resort.

I think I read that CSR has some rooms where you can sleep 5. How old are the kids?

Port Orleans holds 5 in a trundle. How old is your youngest? The only reason I ask is because the trundle is rather small.

--Fort Wilderness cabins also accommodate 5- you get a full kitchen

--Some deluxes accommodate 5 - Beach Club, Yacht Club, Poly

--You may want to look into renting points from a DVC owner for a 2 Bedroom unit - 2 baths, sleeps 8, full kitchen (If your youngest is 3 or under you could get a 1 bedroom or studio also)

We have 5 also so I feel your "budget pain". We have found that we enjoyed the cabins or DVC the best because of the size & kitchen area.

Thanks for all your suggestions. The kids are 9, 16 and 18, unless the 18 yo can go then probably 2 16yo's (daughters friend)

At those ages you should consider two connecting rooms at a value. The two bathrooms will probably come in handy, and the cost isn't much more than a moderate at rack rate- possibly even cheaper if you get a good discount (with AAA I have two rooms at Pop reserved for $4 a night cheaper than a single room reservation at POFQ the following month for another trip.)

I would always stay at the cabins at Ft. Wilderness. You get a full kitchen, a murphy bed in living room a double (or queen?) bed in back bedroom which also has bunk beds. Living room and bedroom both have t.v.'s. There is one cabin loop that backs up to a camping loop which has a comfort station. I have 4 girls and with the comfort station within walking, I had a fair chance at a hot shower. Plus, the MK is only a boat ride away! :teeth:

I also have 2 adults and 3 children. My children are 4, 15 and 10. We stayed at POR for one before our week long stay at the Contemporary. We suggested that our 4 year old stay in the trundle, but it ended up being our very tall 10 year old. She loved it. All of the deluxe resorts have a day bed, so you can accomodate 5 easlily and they have lots of room, at least 400 sq. ft. The POR has about 315 Sq. Ft. We like the extra room of a deluxe. You would still come out cheaper however if you rented two rooms at a value. My family believes it is worth the extra money for the Contemporary because of the convience of the parks and the extra room.
