2 ? about trip

We are thinking of going in the end of January/beginning of Feb 2009.

Questioon 1:

Should we use a travel agent since there will be 10 (possibly 11 or 12) of us or can we do it through the Disney site when they post the prices for 2009?

Question 2:

What ride should we expect to be down for rehab during that time?

Last time we went (Jan 2007) Rockin' Roller coaster was down from the 2nd -? and so was splash mountain. Anyone have any ideas about how long they are typically down for?

Disney has a Grand Gatherings Department where all large group plans like yours would be scheduled through. Whether or not you use a TA is really just personal choice. You can certainly do it all yourself, or you can give all the responsibility of it to a TA and they can make your meal reservations, special events, and coordinate everything. Or you can do it all yourself. It just depends on how much time you want to put into it.


As for rehabs, it is really too early to know. They generally don't' schedule them this early. One of the Water Parks will be closed for rehab, that is for sure. When we went last time, Sept 2006, we booked through AAA they really did not to any special for us, No excitement about trip from them. So I was wondering if Disney did any special for you when you book with them? Like letter as you payments or anything. I am planning on making all my own ADR. Thank you for the info
