2/9/2008 - Valentine Cruise 7 Night Western - Anyone On The Love Boat ?

No news to report here. Still looking and hoping for a lower airfare to come out somewhere. I'm thinking it may not happen since we will be flying home on Presidents' weekend. Worse comes to worse, we'll drive. I don't really want to but I will if we have to.

Hope everyone's having a great weekend.

Keep you head up tevagirl.....something should come out. Today, I went ahead and booked our RT tix flying in Fri and out Sun, for $566 for the 3 of us. Not the best, but fair enough. I guess if something better comes out, we'll just have to rebook for the lower fair. I really don't like doing that, but I too am a little nervous with it being Pres Wk.

Oh well, back to packing.

Hi

..... just catching up because my computer has been 'throwing a wobbler' (do you use that phrase in the US ?) over the last week ,and I haven't been able to checkin ...also I think that I have stopped gettting notifications of replies for some reason ? :surfweb:

:goodvibes

By the way, I hope I haven't confused anyone too much......... but I've altered the title of our cruise thread ever so slightly; to bring it in line with the board guidelines for cruise meet postings, ie: so the date is listed first.

Hopefully it may make it easier for others to find.:thumbsup2

Good idea. I have it saved to my 'Subscribed Threads', so not 'losing' it here. I thought when I clicked on it, it looked strange but didn't immediately put my finger on WHY.

FYI to those that haven't booked their airfare yet....I heard a report this morning that SW was raising there rates due to the rising fuel cost, approx $20/ticket I think it what they had mentioned. I went in to look today, and it doesn't appear to have happened in our market yet. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

Hi fellow cruise mates! we booked our flights last week from Southwest at $104 one way/$208 round trip which I thought was fair. My hubby had heard also that prices may rise because of fuel charges so we made sure we got our airfare purchased. Only 2 more months before we can book online WooHooo!! Have a great weekend. Laurie :)

I never even noticed. I would make a horrible witness, I'm not observant at all. :sad2:

I think you got yourselves very good rates. SW still wants $336.00 for us.

Hi Lauri!!:welcome:

We're from Massachusetts too, in Metrowest. Which region do you hail from?

Thea, I'm sorry I never answered you.....I think your welcome banner got me side tracked. Anyhow, we're close to Cape Cod. Hey will you be working Tuesday night at TD Banknorth Garden I'm going to the Genesis concert!! Can't wait I love Phil Collins! :)

I won't be at the Garden, the only concert venue I work is Tweeter Center, I will be at Aerosmith this Friday though. This time of year I spend most of ym time at Boston College, football games and other sports events there. What a scorcher it was at today's game--the fans were dropping right and left from the heat. :headache:

sorry I won't see then! Tell us how the Aerosmith concert goes? Yeah today was a hot one. Hope tomorrow is nice we're taking our little guy to see Thomas at Edaville.

Is it me or is anyone else having a problem accessing page 6 and beyond on this cruise meet board ??:badpc:

Just been trying to find the kids meet thread ...I had to find it from an old email notification in the end as I couldn't access it directly from the board. :confused3

Just booked our airline tickets out of Indy to MCO on Northwest for only $120.10 roundtrip per person! We had to make the sacrifice of going 2 days early and not coming home until the Tuesday after the cruise, but with the money that we saved we will be able to spend a few days at WDW! Wow, I hate having to make a sacrifice like that and was extremely surprised when my DH said yes. This trip just keeps getting better and better!

Wooo hoooww ....that's great

Where will you be staying after the cruise ? -I presume somewhere 'on site' given your previous trips ? :)

You did good! :thumbsup2

Spirit came down a little bit, so we booked with them. Still waaaayyyyy higher than we would normally pay but if it drops down, we'll get a voucher and apply it to next year's trip. (Which means, I'll have to go to Disney, right?) Besides, I really didn't want to fly out of Philadelphia. I like our little Atlantic City airport.

Yes, we will be staying on property after the cruise. Since we are passholders I will probably hold out booking until the rates come out. I like the fact that you can stay anywhere on property after the cruise and the DCL bus will take you there, unlike before the cruise. Last time afterwards we tried out Saratoga. Didn't like it much so hoping for more choices next time. Because we are passholders we visit WDW more often than if we weren't (we are heading off there next Wed. before our 3 night cruise!). If money were no object I would always stay on property. :tinker:

WooHoo only 5 months to go.....can't wait!!!

Laura you got really great airfare prices way to go!! :)

Hello all. It looks like we'll be joining you on this cruise. (we've been going back and forth between spending the week at WDW, or cruising....)

I'm very impressed with the length of this thread!

Anyway, it will be me, DH, and DS, who will be 6 then. It's our third WDW cruise.

This week is our Winter Break. I guess they did it the week before President's Day because of the early Easter.
