Oh my gosh!! I have been so sick for the last two weeks, but I thought it was just a bug :( I've been pregnant twice before and each time I feel sick for the entire first half of the pregnancy; to the point where even seeing pictures of food makes my tummy flop. I am so bummed.

Any advice for handling morning sickness (the kind that lasts all day) in the parks? I've already made all of our dining reservations and am hoping that I will still be able to enjoy them with my DH and two DDs. This trip is so important to us.

I would bring Crackers or something to eat that you know your stomach could handle in with you.

I hope you are still able to have a Great Time!

Congratulations! Pack some soda crackers!

I'm wondering if anyone knows if gingerale is generally available at the parks? I don't remember seeing it. If not, pack some of your own.

My sister swore by the bands (looks like a bracelet you wear on your arm). I didn't have bad MS, so I never tried it.

Best of luck....

No good advice - but I just had to pop in and say Congrats!! :cheer2:

Thank you so much for the advice! Yeah, saltines are basically the only thing my stomach can handle. I should buy stock in them ;)

Thanks again!

Thanks for the advice! Do you know where to buy the bands at? Ive heard of them, but have no idea where to buy them. Maybe someplace like motherhood maternity?

Thanks a lot again!

I'd beg your doc for some good nausea meds. On top of it I'd do the motion sickness bands (you can find cute ones online!). Gum. Gummmmmmm. It was my saving grace. Mint! Make sure you don't get too hot and keep hydrated. Dehydration makes it worse.

Congratulations! I sound the same as you and can pretty much only eat small meals as I have no appetite. So try to eat small but frequenlty and keep your liquids going. :)

I just called my doctors office and they are going to call in a prescription for me, yay! I just hope I will be able to keep them down!

There seems to be a lot of brands of the motion sickness bands online. Does anyone know a reputable one?

Thanks so much for the advice!

Lemme find the one my friend used... hang on.

I'm glad your doc is calling in a script! My advice is to take it the SECOND you wake up. Do NOT get out of bed. Eat a cracker first..let it settle, then try the pill! Getting up makes the nausea gain control so getting some food in there first can help. I hear ginger ale at this point is good too like someone else said.

Also, if you don't care about 'cute' you can buy the motion sickness bands anywhere. I got mine at Smiths (kroger in other places)..I'd put money on Walmart carrying them.

Oh...Im so sorry that you have to go through this. It sucks big time! Thank you for the advice, I need all I can get. It seems that no matter how bad it is each time, I always forget exactly how bad it is! Maybe it's because its easy to forget once I have that adorable baby in my arms :)

Ok, I'll definitely take it before I get up. Thanks again so much!

Good luck. I want an update when you get back. I can't even imagine feeling like that during a vaca. bleh :(

CONGRATS!!!!

Congrats! :) The heat got to me last year and I was able to find crackers and sprite at White Water Snacks and that helped a lot. Hope it all goes well for you. :goodvibes

Congratulations! I've never been pregnant before, so I have no advice. I just wanted to wish you a wonderful trip! Good luck with the boy wish. :wizard:

Have you ever tried ginger pills? I've heard they're pretty great for nausea. You may look into something like that as well, just in case. I am pretty sure that anything with ginger is suppose to have a stomach calming effect. I've even seen candied ginger in the bulk bins of the grocery store. So, you may want to try that too.

Good luck, have fun and make sure to not over-do it! :goodvibes:thumbsup2

Unisom + Vit B Complex. Take 1 chewable unisom tablet at night before bed... it will last about 24 hrs to curb the sickness. The B Complex usually needs to be taken with food. One pill at breakfast and one at dinner help. This was the only way I got through with my second.

Have a great trip!!
