2 1/2 Weeks is a long time

I just got back to Florida last night from San Diego (training for my new job). I did get a weekend off to visit Disneyland while out there & have some comparisons if anybody wants (Splash was closed for renovations and it was REALLY weird to be walking around in the Magic Kingdom and see snow-capped mountains off in the distance!). I will post some pictures soon.

Yeah - and this time of year you can SEE those mountains (the smog isn't as bad!)
My sis was in Honolulu for 3 weeks for work and was so happy to get back home. (I don't know - for Hawaii, I think I'd forget home for a while!)

It is VERY different than WDW! My 1st thought after entering, making the turn, and looking up Main Street was "Where's the castle?"! I thought that Space Mountain, Autopia & Pirates were better than WDW but have to give most of the other rides over to Florida BUT there is nothing like the feeling of walking where Walt did, years ago!

Irregardless of the bad things I'd heard, I was pretty impressed with California Adventure. Soarin' Over California was an amazing display of how IMAX technology can really be a full immersion experience & would love to see a similiar ride at WDW.

I went to California Adventure for the first time in November and I agree with you. Soarin' over California is the best ride in ANY Disney park anywhere. I hope they put something like it in WDW someday.
