***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Ugh, feeling rough this morning. Had a hard time falling asleep because of my cough and election anxiety, then this morning I've gotten sick twice. I'm taking an hour lunch and laying down now...my head is spinning and trying to keep the little bit of water I had down. I really want to decorate my MB tonight...not sure if I can muster it though.
 Really really hope you feel better soon!

True... It is very subjective. Oh well, I guess we will all see when we get there. I do have a TS breakfast and a TS dinner so I feel the sharing will be fine. :) Plus there's always the many snack credits I need to finish. :D

As for your order, I feel you should just order what you want to eat. It's not especially expensive and if the portion sizes are regular (not overly large like a regular CS), you probably will not leave more than half of it. It's probably better you order something you like than something you know you would be 'meh' about.
I know, I'm just afraid of overdoing it, lol. I'm like a beagle. if you put it in front of me, I'll eat it. That's why I actually prefer buffets, I can self-serve and keep the portions down (sounds counter intuitive but true for me!)

I'm sure you would be fine... Hope that the portion sizes are truly a little more on the small-ish side for you then! :)

EDIT: If you google braised pork BOG and look at the images, you can approximate how much it is I think... It's not definitely a small portion but it does not look massive either.

A friend of mine is going to DL around the same time as my trip and we want to split the cost of a Memory Maker, that should still work right? It will work across both parks? I should know this because I hosted a MM share with like 8 people for our last trip but all parties were at WDW so I just want to double check.

Edit: after some serious googling, it looks like the two parks photo services are separate now and the DL pictures wouldn't show up :( bummer, I was really hoping to split the cost with someone

it looks very large to me but for 500 calories how big could it be? maybe it is mostly green beans :rotfl:

That makes me so sad. :sad2:

Me too. We didn't talk much about it at home before but kids talk and we are in a very politically opinionated area. But a "quick" 1 hour lesson on the way the government works and the constitution and checks and balances and state goverment vs. federal at 5:40am seems to have done the trick to comfort his fears. For me, not so much. But I'm of the opinion that kids should not be anxious about what are adult problems when they are kids. I love that he cares, I just do not want him carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders at 8. He seemed alright when I dropped him at school but we'll see what he wants to talk about tonight. When they talked about the civil rights movement at school he came home in disbelief that anyone could consider the color of someone's skin to be anything but superficial and horrified that people were treated poorly because of it and was upset for weeks about it. Which maybe bodes well for the next generation but it is really tough when you see your child's innocence lost as they learn about the world.

If I look at the coke beside it, size-wise, I think it looks like a very full smaller plate. maybe it is the green beans! LOL!

So tough on kids... I hope he will be fine when he gets back from school. I find that these days, kids are forced to be more mature and it's not always a bad thing but it seems very stressful for them sometimes. :grouphug:

I'm a little worried it's the antibiotic that's causing the puking. :( I work from home so luckily I can vomit in the privacy of my own home. I wish I could just log out and lay in bed all day, but my coworker is out on vacation today and we're already short staffed. Just need to try to make it to 5:30.

what antibiotic are you on? it very well could be :( --dr. mom, lol.

Doxycycline. I'm pretty sure I've taken it before with no issues though. Could also be a combo of not eating much the last few days, chest congestion, and the antibiotic, Tylenol and Sudafed.

I feel we're all in this, honestly. :grouphug:

This sentiment is much appreciated! It's really tough even just processing what happened last night. It makes it hard to remain optimistic about the country I live in right now. Hugs all around! :grouphug:

I don't know if the vomiting could be caused by this, but I've found that taking acidopholus, or even just eating some yogurt (which has the live cultures in it) can help with antibiotics-caused gut issues. Again, not a doctor, and I didn't even stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night! :rotfl:

So work has exploded today, of course, when a million people are out this week. I work on the biggest client that we have, which is a nice honor that they chose me for the role I'm in because they trust me and appreciate my hard work, but boy can they be needy! So now we have this huge project to complete, with a bunch of different parts. :faint: I'm out on Friday too, so I'll be trying to get as much done as possible today and tomorrow.

I do still need to call Disney to adjust my CP Dining Package reservation from 2 people to 1. My hotel reservations also still have 2 guests on them. They are DVC reservations that someone booked for me, and I paid them for the points. Is it a big deal if I just leave the second person on the reservation? And if I do need to change it, does anyone know if I would be able to, or would the DVC member need to make that kind of change? I'm not really sure how this works. Obviously the reservation is in my name, and is in my MDE, but I don't know if there are certain restrictions on what I can do because of how it was booked.

And I think I'm losing track of all the different people that are sick right now, but I hope you all feel better very very soon!!! :flower3: Just think, at least it's now and not while you're on your trips!

First part, yes I feel you. Going to PM something to you that the bf just sent to me. It's not a bad read. (I have been avoiding reading anything at all and disabled my FB account because I can't stand to be exposed to any of it any more.. just self preservation).

I was going to suggest taking acidopholus or yogurt too, the stronger the antibiotic the more at risk for thrush you are.

About your reservation, I would not bother. you'll get an extra MB. You'll get an extra key. no big deal. You can use the extra MB for SDFP so you're golden.

IF you want it in your name only then you will have to email the member or the DVC broker and have them call and make the change. it is easy peasy but I would probably not bother (a portion of mine is a points "trade" in someone else's control so I have not wanted to make any changes to that one). If you don't change it you won't be charged more and it won't matter one bit.

the mucus can do it to you too. just keeping that low level of nausea. Drink as much as you can to help loosen it up so it's not sitting on your chest.

Doxy is what they give when you are bitten by a tick (here it's a HUGE issue with Lyme). But I've never taken it myself. Stomach upset is common though with most antibiotics. just STAY HYDRATED.

@JamieOak I've been meaning to reply to your message a while ago. I feel that it's more important to feel comfortable than wear Disney shirts. I pretty much will bring non-Disney clothing along, too.
I will say I think I have overdone it this trip with their Disney clothes and have buyer's remorse now. :faint: But I think I will wear it again on normal days... some days, fingers crossed... LOL!
Very much agree with this. :thumbsup2 I'm thinking I'm very paranoid now and feel I need to cool it on my packing list. It's not like I can't get stuff at Disney. :rotfl:

Aw thanks for replying. Honestly it's part uncomfortable, part self-conscious, and a very big part buyer's remorse thinking of how expensive the trip is. I already need more nice "going out" clothes (farm life seems to get everything stained sooner or later). So I'd rather spend the money on clothes that I will get more use out of. T-shirts tend to be worn to do work and they get ruined.

And I think I'll find things to buy at Disney that I like better anyway!

I also agree that it's best to look and feel good. I have 3 shirts that are a little smaller than I'd like and I'm not too sure if I want to wear them. I think it will be on a day by day basis (we all know how that is trying something on one day and hating the way it looks the next).

I went through my pile of tshirts last night and tried them all on again. One got put on the return pile due to itchy material alone. The rest were very unflattering fits. I have a belly. I hate it. But it's there and I certainly don't want to highlight it as I'm already self-conscious about it. Most t shirts that give me enough room there are way too baggy in the shoulder area. I even spent a good amount of time googling how to alter tshirts to make them fit more feminine! But quickly realized that I was being silly because 1) when would I have time and 2) why buy shirts you need to alter to like?

Now the question is how can I incorporate Disney themes into my attire without a Disney shirt? A hat is an easy one. I haven't really considered Mickey ears, but maybe I should rethink that.

it does not look that bad with that big old spoon in it. that size I can handle. They used to sell it for like $10 not that long ago, lol.

as an overweight person who is constantly on the hunt for ways to cute up fat person clothes my go-tos are bags/purses, shoes and hats.

But I would encourage you to look at Torrid if you want some disney tshirts... if you are not self conscious about your arms (and I am) they do have shorter sleeves, sort of longer cap sleeves, but they are also cut smaller through the bust/shoulders and bigger through the belly/hips/butt. So you get a bit of a feminine cut without it being a perfect hourglass. May work for you or may not but there is free ship and return to hot topic stores, they go down to a 0x which is around a 12.

that said I am happy to have my disney bag, it's a vera backpack I got on ebay for less than retail. It's subtly disney and pretty. I like ears. If you are into shoes, crocs, vanns, new balance and birkenstocks are the brands I know offhand that make disney themed shoes.

also consider maybe just getting a disney hoodie/fleece for park use... you can wear it over anything and it's sort of generic, one thing you can wear all week, can throw it on at home for in between weather, it's not a huge investment really and will last you all week. There are plenty of NWT styles on ebay that are older styles and no longer available (more choice) and disney store online has some.
