We got our MBs today! We all chose purple. What about everyone else?

I, of course, got purple for my pass holder MB (yay!) and my son chose red for his. I figure they "go well" together. Now that I updated my Apple watch, it has Minnie on it, and I can change her outfit color! I am a big kid!

On another note - TP Res finder really came through for me this evening!!! I had a LTT ressie on my MVMCP night, but with all the bad reviews I was constantly having second thoughts. Now I am the proud owner of a BOG dinner ressie

Had to drop the LTT for 2 at 6pm on the 6th if anyone is interested!

I've been sorting through pennies and collecting ones that are prior to 1982. They have a higher copper content and turn out better. I'll shine them all up with ketchup.

I've brought a medium backpack on rides and have never had a problem.

For those going to Universal - note that multiple rides don't allow any type of bag (you can bring phone/wallet, etc) and the big coasters don't allow you to have anything in your pockets (not wallet, keys, glasses, etc). It's kinda a pain to put stuff in and out of lockers, but they are free. On our trip in 2014, my sister didn't ride a lot of rides so she was our designated bag holder

So last night DH got really excited over pressed pennies of all things. So I was looking into how many there are and geez oh pete! I'm trying to figure out what a reasonable amount of coins to take is. But I also wanted to have a plan for them when we got home. I'm sure we'll be making a photo book of the trip afterwards and we could attach them to pages in there. But I also saw this and thought it was really cool. If we did it on rustic wood, it would even fit our decor at home.

I counted. 137 pennies and 19 quarters (I think). That totals $84.12. Not terribly bad for a Disney souvenir really. But is it possible or advisable to try to get this many coins pressed in one trip? It does sound fun to track them down during our park touring and resort hopping. What is everyone else's plan for pressed coins? I see a lot of people are putting coins on their packing list and park bag lists.

Love that pressed penny art! I try to collect one on trips and got a handful (maybe 8) on last Disney trip. I just keep them in a jar.

whelp, I'm just here ot let you all know, I completely blew my souvenir budget.

I have a little bit of a purse addiction... so I had set aside $300 to buy myself a nice Dooney purse at WDW when I was there.

Well Harvey's, who also makes disney purses (out of seatbelts) came out with a new nightmare before christmas release on Halloween... I already had the "jack" lola based on jack and they were doing a highly limited release (sold out literally in 2 minutes) of a "Sally" lola in a more muted color scheme (called "midnight Sally") than their previous Sally releases (I have a bow made from some of the belting from the previous sally release on my jack). So this happened. yes I blew my souvenir wad a month before even going to Disney. sorrynotsorry

Those purses are cool!! I love me a satchel style! I went through my purses earlier this year and cleaned out about 20 (donated or gave to cousins/family). I'm trying to resist and actually pulled out an older one and I'm using it this fall. My sister is making me a Disney one for the trip (fabric/vinyl). She ran out of vinyl for the strap so I'll wait to post a picture until it's complete.

3 weeks from today, I'll be swirling around like a mad woman getting ready to leave! I will have hope that everything from Thanksgiving is put away.

DH has decided that he wants to decorate the house the Sunday before we leave (27th)... We'll just have to see about that!

We leave Thursday 12/1 so it's totally my goal to have our house decorated before we go that way it's all done when we get back from our trip! I'm figuring the weekend after thanksgiving will be very busy with lady minute shopping for our trip, decorating and packing! But it's all positive and exciting!

that's not my photo, it's from ebay. But notice how there is just a wrist strap on one side? she is adding another loop (she makes a lot of bows and to do so you take apart old purses so she has extra D-rings and extra silver belting, so it will look original once she adds it... it is very easy to add the way it is constructed). I have a cross body strap in the pink.

She is also adding a bow to it for me, here is a pic she sent me of color samples (she sent me a bunch of options, this is what I chose)

that is a pic of mine... it's a more accurate pic (they get very shiny under flash) but it doesn't show the entire thing!

Thanks for the tip...just ordered a glitter Minnie Mouse head for DD...now we will be able to tell them apart. Did they take very long to get to you? Hope I'm not cutting it too close.

I think the longest took a week (Monday to Monday) to arrive. That was the 3 pairs of swirly designs. The mickey heads arrived first. I ordered a Minnie head last night and I leave in 16 days. You should be fine.

Sso smart to convert this to a crossbody! I can only use a crossbody, and I feel so limited when I shop for a new purse. Great idea!

Well, I feel better! I'm not the only one in house decorating mode! DD comes home from college on December 3, and I'm trying to get the house decorated for her. I even have a tree up already! (un-decorated). Bought a new tree for my dining room and figured no sense hauling it to the basement for three weeks, so it's up and twinkling and ready for ornaments! We got married in the US last December and left on the 27th November so didn't put our tree up. We got home on the 22nd December and forced ourselves to put it up as we had so many First Married Christmas ornaments from Disneyland! But it was a hassle just for those few days because I go overboard with decorating.

We are away for roughly the same dates this year and keep going back and forth on whether to bother putting it up as last year just wasn't really worth it!

I had a disney nightmare last night. Dreamed about dinner at 'ohana. In the dream it was a serve yourself buffet. My parents were there and enjoying the food and my dad asked me to get more. I was loving the food too. I went to the buffet and the staff were packing away the foid telling me it was closed. They said it was closing time. I said no because our adr was for 630 pm and they said it's 10 30pm. Very disturbing! Obviously ridiculous as my parents are not going on the trip, we don't have dinner at ohana and I don't really eat meat! I think it's just anxiety over not knowing how long a TS meal will take and how that works with my touring plan.
