I will say that those collages use very small pictures which is ideal when you do not like being photographed! LOL! I really like the idea of that artwork though! It's really too bad I could not go t the bank here and demand pennies! They already think I'm weird for asking $40 worth of dollar bills!
Yup! By any chance, did you get the memory maker?Oh I didn't even think of that with you being in Canada. I think you'll like the collage more anyway, especially since you want to document the trip with your DS!
does he play pokemon go? does he gotta catch 'em all? lol
Yup! By any chance, did you get the memory maker?
Oh no....I hope you feel better. Split shift...ugh! You're brave...and I complain about overnight work...LOL. Take care of yourself.Ugh, still sick todayLuckily I work a split shift so I'm laying on the couch watching tv until I have to go back to work.
No magicbands yet...it looks like they're somewhere in PA right now.
Can you press Canadian pennies? They're worthless hereSo last night DH got really excited over pressed pennies of all things. So I was looking into how many there are and geez oh pete! I'm trying to figure out what a reasonable amount of coins to take is. But I also wanted to have a plan for them when we got home. I'm sure we'll be making a photo book of the trip afterwards and we could attach them to pages in there. But I also saw this and thought it was really cool. If we did it on rustic wood, it would even fit our decor at home.

I counted.137 pennies and 19 quarters (I think). That totals $84.12. Not terribly bad for a Disney souvenir really. But is it possible or advisable to try to get this many coins pressed in one trip?
It does sound fun to track them down during our park touring and resort hopping. I found this website with tons of info: http://www.themouseforless.com/disney-downloads/pocket-guides/pressed-coins-checklists/
What is everyone else's plan for pressed coins? I see a lot of people are putting coins on their packing list and park bag lists.![]()
Yep sure did. I am excited to have more pictures of DH and I. We haven't really had any pictures worthy of printing since our wedding over 4 years ago.

Nice! I'm totally debating whether I should get the one from Universal... hoping it would go on sale

I think DD will like the pressed penny thing but I just don't really "get" the idea behind pressed coins. So we do have a few pennies so she can press them (Canadian ones). A few years ago in the US I accidentally tried to pay for something and had a CAD penny and the person got really ticked off...jeez I know the currency conversion sucks but calm down! LOL. Speaking of cash, I don't think I'm going to be paying with too much cash, just for tips really...otherwise it goes on the Magic band/credit card.I think the pennies you might get away with, but maybe not the quarters you pay with.
On another note, what is everyone doing for carseats when travelling with kids? I thought in FLA if they are 6 and older they don't need a carseat?
It would be the same as Disney where photographers are willing to take pictures with you camera. It's just inconvenient.I have it highlighted on my list as a possible to do. It doesn't seem as convenient as the MM at WDW, but I'm still tempted. I need to research that more to make a decision. I'd hate to have almost no pictures of us at Universal!
Is there a danger of a drone falling down on top of Guests?
No. A geofence has been installed to maintain a safe perimeter around the show area (a minimum of 150’ feet away from people, per FAA regulations). If a drone were to accidentally cross the geofence, it is programmed to return to its point of origin."
Yup same here, some cash just in case of emergencies but would mainly pay with magic band/ credit card.I think DD will like the pressed penny thing but I just don't really "get" the idea behind pressed coins. This is smart! Do any of you guYs know how big of a bag you can bring on the rides? Is a backpack too big?
also to catch up what I am surmising I missed out on based on later posts and quotes...
I don't wear makeup. I barely have the time/gumption to get myself dressed in the morning, let alone put on makeup. Also during grad school this one woman who always came in beautifully done up came in one day without makeup and everyone thought she had cancer or something. I would rather people be used to my normal plain and pallid self than think I am dying of some horrific disease when I get lazy or busy one day.
Also I am not trying to lose 10 lbs before this trip. I can't stop and start like that. After the trip I am planning to try to focus more on the healthy lifestyle again as a lifestyle. I have too much to lose to "binge diet" before a big event, I need to make real changes and the best way to derail myself is to insert a vacation 1 month after I start and then feel like a failure when I can't keep it up (i know myself). So just kind of treading water but now that we got that hour I am considering starting to do a walking video every morning I can to build up some stamina for the trip. That is a worthwhile goal!
