***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

@SilSprBea I'm still catching up and caught your question regarding which parks to drive to. I'm still figuring it out myself. But it seems like driving to all parks except for MK is the best idea. All the other parks parking lots are within walking distance to the front gates. MK parking is such a pain. Just my two cents :)

So what are you all ordering for BOG breakfast? I'm torn because I want a cinnamon roll from Gastons! :rotfl2:

EDIT: Anyone like the Master's cupcake?

We're doing the cupcakes at our dinner, and just getting breakfast at our breakfast. On another morning I have cinanamon buns at Gaston's planned for our breakfast, right before our Enchanted Tales with Belle fast pass!

EDIT: @Candycane83 I neglected to tell you what we ordered! We ordered a feast for me and DH to share, and 2 kids scrambled eggs. We'll finish what the kids don't eat but they love eggs and bacon, and then eat the pastries too.

My magic bands are out for delivery too! I'm SHOCKED since they only went out on Saturday and some of you all have been waiting a week or more for yours. I wonder if it's just because I'm in the Washington DC area and there is more mail movement? Odd!

Lol on makeup. Once a girl I worked with came in one morning obviously doing the walk of shame and had no make up on. She sat at her desk and our boss asked her why she was sitting in Joannes desk...then he realized it was her! :rotfl2: that was awesome but she was so embarrassed!

Sunscreen, band aids, wipes, ponchos (if rain forecasted), small snack bag for dd, water bottle, phone charger, park day plans, index cards and clipboard for autographs, 1 costume for dd smushed in a zip lock bag. I also will wear a cross body purse (small) for my travel wallet, sharpie, pen, sunglasses and lip balm.

seriously? Like do they ask for ID in the parks???:confused3

I was asked for my ID when I wanted to use our package coupons for DisneyQuest last time. I didn't have it with me and she lectured me about making sure to carry it with me (something about a law in Florida to have ID on you at all times, blah, blah, blah). She let it go and gave us our free entrance to DQ, but I was irritated about the whole thing. We also were stranded once when our magicbands weren't working for charging to the room. It did get straightened out eventually, but I wish I had had a credit card with me so I could just pay the darn thing and settle it later at the resort (we were on the dining plan and the credits were there but we couldn't charge the tip to the room). Anyway, now that I have a small wallet for my cards and some cash, I'll be sure to bring them along. I didn't have a wallet last time and felt really weird just having them loose in my bag which is why I didn't carry them.

external battery charger for cell phone (still shopping around for this. I want one powerful enough to charge mine and roomie's phones an additional full charge and with 2 usb ports so we could charge at the same time, but also not crazy heavy/bulky. My ideal goal is to have something that while we're sitting down to eat or something, we can plug in and charge at the table.)
I was surprised at what I found at Walgreens last year--small, lightweight charger (didn't look for 2 USB ports, though). It was super easy and I was able to charge my phone from it while it was in my backpack (eating, on ride, etc.).
Good list!

Also I am not trying to lose 10 lbs before this trip. I can't stop and start like that. After the trip I am planning to try to focus more on the healthy lifestyle again as a lifestyle. I have too much to lose to "binge diet" before a big event, I need to make real changes and the best way to derail myself is to insert a vacation 1 month after I start and then feel like a failure when I can't keep it up (i know myself). So just kind of treading water but now that we got that hour I am considering starting to do a walking video every morning I can to build up some stamina for the trip. That is a worthwhile goal!

This is one of the smartest realizations you can ever have about trying to lose weight and get fit! It should never be a short-term, lose-weight-fast goal. You'll be using methods that aren't sustainable and that don't last, and you usually end up gaining even more back than you lost! :rotfl: I don't think anyone here is really expecting to lose 10 lbs by the trip. I know I'm not. That would be difficult to achieve, and not very healthy. I've been on my weight loss/get fit effort since around January, so this was just a great opportunity to really get myself focused and back on track, as I'd gotten a bit lenient with it. If I lose another 3-5 lbs by the trip I will be thrilled! I think the walking video sounds like an awesome plan though! I'm always amazed by how much walking happens in the parks, it's crazy!

It's probably ingrained in me from my mom, always saying, "what happens if you get hurt and end up in a ditch and people need to figure out who you are?!?" :rotfl2: But I always have some form of ID on me at all times. I forgot to include in my park bag list, but I will def have a small wallet including my license, my health insurance card, and some cash. If for no other reason than my own peace of mind.

I actually always bring ID and health insurance cards... but not a copy of my passport. LOL! I guess that changes this trip.

I wish my tracking would update on my Magic Bands! They shipped Friday from Memphis, which is only a little over 100 miles away, but the tracking hasn't changed since then. Maybe it'll be like an amazon order I had last week. The tracking never updated, but it arrived a day earlier than expected! Maybe I'll get home today and they'll be there! Roomie is only working a half day today (making up for all the overtime for her conference over the weekend), so if they arrive before I get home, I know she will be blowing up my phone!

So on a totally non-Disney note, to anybody going to Universal, I called the Dining Line just now to ask about reservations for Toothsome Chocolate Emporium, and they are still NOT taking reservations. I was hoping since we were less than 30 days until I would be there, they might be by now, but no dice. I asked the lady if she knew when they might start taking them, and she told me in no uncertain terms that not all restaurants at City Walk go to a reservation system, so they may stay walk-up only for the foreseeable future. Bummer.

No way do I think I can lose 10, lol! It's more like... I've been struggling a lot with my sugar addiction over the last few months and have been unable to stick with my eating plan the way I wanted to. This "challenge" (#OL10LB) has been just the kick-in-the-pants I needed to get me off my duff and doing something about it in the final stretch before our trip. I've lost weight successfully 2 ways in my life: Weight Watchers and Atkins. WW isn't working for me right now because of the sugar/carb addiction I just can't get away from so I decided to go the Atkins route until we go. I am at the point where I either need to drop a few pounds or buy bigger clothes!! I don't have the money to buy a whole new wardrobe right now, so dropping a few pounds it is. :D

Y'all don't even know how jealous I am of those who don't have to wear it all the time. Like when I say I look sick without it, I mean like my under eye circles look like bruises, and it's not from lack of sleep. I generally get my 8 hours every night, but my skin is just like translucent, you can practically see my veins. On the other hand, I am super blessed that I don't have very problematic skin as far as breakouts, but my 5-10 minute makeup routine is definitely a must-do. I do need to pick up a new eyeliner though. The one I have now was from some freebie gift bag, and it tends to wear off and smear under my eyes (even when I don't put it on the bottom lid!) by the very end of the evening. I need to go back to one of the liquid liners I was using before that stayed put. I'm not a big mascara wearer either, thankfully my lashes are pretty dark and thick naturally. Plus, I can never find one I'm happy with. I don't like that dry feeling at the end of the day that most of them give me.
I hear that...I'm so pale you can see my veins too! The nurses at the local hospital love me.

Good point @Candycane83 I'm just going to bring my drivers license and copies of my passport with me. When we were in Alaska we had some issues at the airport as the guy doing security was new and had never seen a Canadian passport. He thought it was fake. I don't generally get carded (because I look old ha ha) but I am not risking not getting a drink at jbjb!

I think my goal before the trip will be get fit not try to lose weight - just build up endurance. But it will be hard...I am working nights and that completely messes with my system in terms of sleep - I just can't sleep well during the day and I don't get more than 4-5 hours during the day because I have to do school drop off and pick up with DD. My current client is only booking a few nights a week but it's still hard on my body to flip between day and night like that. I swore I was cutting it off with them this week (also because their baby is colicky and he screams for hours - none of my tricks work with him) but DH says the more I work for them the more money for Disney LOL!

Also I just ordered my lunch at BOG :)

haha it is also a really good excuse to do nothing until I am ready for a big change :-p so not so good! But really I know myself well enough to know that for me working out comes first, then comes eating better but not worrying about portions and then after a couple of weeks of working out and eating healthy, my portions regulate themselves. I have actually mostly been focusing lately on portion control and even if i am eating something that is bad, stopping when full and not eating it just because it is there. I suspect I'll be leaving a lot of food behind at disney but I am ok with that! and yes I feel like after getting a jump start on the exercise there (worst case scenario) I will want to keep it up here.
