***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Happy Sunday!

I had my first Disney nightmare last night. We left for our trip but forgot our magic bands. In my dream there was no way for guest services to replace then and all bands for purchase were out of stock. We were scrambling to get a flight home to get them. Consequently we loat three days of our vacation!

20 days to go!!!

Sending well wishes to everyone that is feeling under the weather.
YIKES!!! Scary! Glad that was only a dream, or nightmare! :scared1:

:scared:  :scared1: :faint: Glad it was only a dream! Why are Disney dreams almost always so stressful?!

My son wants "the grey stuff", which he had at dinner. I grabbed this lunch when I saw the Master's cupcake has the grey stuff on it. I don't think he cares what else he eats!
What soup is everyone getting? My DH had the French Onion, and that was really tasty, and not too salty.
French onion. My dh makes a killer french onion soup so I have high expectations! But really I love soup.

We go for dinner but I got the French onion soup as an app last time and loved it. I plan to do that again this trip.

For those who have eaten at BOG for lunch. . .
recommendations?
in what rooms do you get to sit?
We have an 11:45 lunch on our MVMCP party day (my possible consolation meal at BOG--better than nothing!) and I can order today! ; )))

We have only been for dinner twice but the first time we were in the West Wing and the second time we were in the Ballroom. I liked them both but a slight edge goes to the Ballroom. We felt like we were in the movie and liked being able to see the snow coming down through the windows in the back. The WW is pretty dark and you hear thunder at certain times which didn't bother us and you see the rose and a picture changes on the wall.

I think the same thing about it just being 2 of us. I can definitely see how a family has a much harder time justifying all the add-on costs of the special events and tours. I can't wait to hear how the tour is! I chose the morning Wild Africa Trek and I did think about switching to the night tour. I think you have a good plan to cancel Tiffins.
I am always shocked to see what stuff costs a family. With just me and the kiddo even though it takes me 2 years, I can take a nice vacation with him with few compromises. If the cost were doubled, ack. Although I'd likely have a second salary and not be trying to do it all on my own. Still the amounts are not that daunting for me for anything under $100pp. Of course I am limited by what kiddo will enjoy, club villain and specialty safaris are off the table.

With breakfast and lunch BOG can you order an adult meal for a child like other CS restaurants with the dining plan? We have a PPO breakfast that I'm planning to just order 2 bounty platters to split (2 adults, 1 4yo and 1 2yo). For our lunch I'm not sure if I'd want to do 3 adult meals or 2 adult and 1 child.

Good morning and happy Sunday everyone! Had that extra hour last night but didn't exactly feel like it. I may not have kids but one of my furbabies pestered me from 6:15-7 for breakfast, since to him it was actually an hour late! :rotfl2:

@pigletgirl awww, that was really nice of your husband to bring you the pho! Soup is the best! I always crave hot and sour soup when I'm sick, lol

@BDFmom oh noes about the nightmare!!! But, at the same time, I have to say thank you!!! Your nightmare reminded me that I left magicbands off my packing list!!! :scared1::scared1::scared1: Not that it would have ended the way the nightmare did, but still, I have 5 different mb's that I'll be packing! And yup, that's all for one person! 4 different color options, plus my SDFP band :rotfl:

Wondering if any of you fine people can help me out with this MagicBand question? I bought some decals for it and one is put directly onto the Mickey head of the band and I thought I had heard somewhere that it's not recommended to put anything directly on the Mickey head of the band as it messes with the signal or something? Can anyone confirm?

Also, WOOHOO for the MVMCP map being released. Still bummed we won't be able to see the new "Once Upon A Time". Which leads me to my other question. If I want to add and additional day onto our tickets (going from 4 days to 5 is only an additional $30 total) can I do that when I arrive, or should I call now? Just want to know my options.

Thanks!!!! Love this thread!! Oh also, we get to order our BOG lunch today too! I can finally get BF into some of the planning hopefully!:D

Oh no!!! I think Disney nightmares are a rite of passage around here!!

I've been following the giant thread for DIY personalized magicbands for a while now, and there are no issues with putting things over the Mickey head. Some people even put rhinestones on the Mickey head and were perfectly fine!

Wondering the same thing about the MB myself, though I believe the signal is plenty strong enough that a decal or nail polish, etc, won't affect it's power to light up the Mickey head!
And if BF doesn't get into planning, order something you would eat for him, just in case. . . ; )
