Just a warning,:offtopic:.
I missed the previous post about this, but are you sure we aren't related?? :joker: I could have posted the same paragraph with some details switched around. I get it. As I have gotten older, family drama/nonsense seems less important, but holidays are holidays and can make things feel more pronounced. But I bet your holidays (like mine) are much more peaceful than holidays of old!
Glad you shared--and so glad you have a great network of :listen: listeners here (volunteering myself, as well). Good for you for being YOU, and not the scripted role from "As the World Turns: Family Dysfunction" that we often get handed to us in childhood.
Ok--enough of that--please resume regularly scheduled program of Dis planning! pixiedust:

we could be! I don't know if I answered this already. Work has been so brutally crazy I don't know which way is up. I have brought work home all week and I did this weekend too... it is good for me to be so busy because I'm partially commission based and it means money coming in (good projects too!) but I'm so wiped out... I brought home work tonight but am relaxing with DIS and a glass of wine right now... going over to cape tomorrow to be with BF just to escape for a day. His parents live there and they are out of town so we (and the kids) get their house to ourselves, which is nice because we can all be together without being on top of each other and I will get a little TLC from the bf while the kids amuse themselves (hard with an only child to not be the major source of entertainment).

Holiday were not bad before. It's hard to describe, but I never thought too much about it... about how I was an add on to everything else because I have mostly spent myself being the one behind the scenes who makes things work and run smoothly. But ignorance is bliss and once the dam broke, it was impossible to go back. It is fun being with BF and his family. They actually act like they enjoy having me around! Not that my family made me feel bad but I was just kind of a wallflower and on the outside. It's all about the kids etcetcetc.

But overall I really can't complain about my life. Was just having a bit of a rough spot and a pity party for myself :-p But really I am very lucky and grateful for all of the wonderful people and things in my life... my son especially, both for who he is and that the fact that who he is makes him so beloved by teachers and other people who work with him that they are so nurturing and invested in his success. He is really a sweet, smart, funny, amazing little dude and I am beyond blessed that he is mine. Also blessed to have met such wonderful people by sheer luck of all going first week of december. Must be the spirit of christmas :)

They do! And I love that they don't just flash, they cycle across one light at a time!

Edit: Dang it, I tried to post a gif of them, but it's not working! It's like only one bulb at a time lights up, so they kind of dance across if that makes sense!3
can you repost what you are talking about? i knwo I am being lazy, I can't go back and find what I missed lol. Appreciate in advance!

Awe thank you, but trust me I am in my early 40s. Because of all the medical issues M had this year, I did develop some gray hair. Thank goodness I get it dyed, but I kind of freaked and cried when I saw those buggers.
I'm 42 and I have a skunk streak lol. I wear my hair to one side because it is under the bang and no one sees it, and highlights blend in any greys. I was getting my hair cut and my stylist parted it the wrong way and I was like NOOOOOOOOOO. She thought I should wear it loud and proud, like bonnie raitt. NO. just. no. I am not a famous insanely talented gorgeous redhead. I'm not sure I could rock it the way she does!

If I keep the list in my head I'm liable to eat everything!!! :rotfl2:

Sorry about work :( But yay for money!!
I don't need a list, I can sniff it out, lol.

Actually I have gained a lot of weight lately. I had lost a bunch (nearly 100 lbs) before/during/after pregnancy but then my marriage and my life fell apart, my child was diagnosed with autism, ADHD and anxiety disorder and I gained almost all of it back. it's disheartening. I need some time to take care of myself... so right now I should be... I don't know, working out or something, but I am sitting here sipping wine catching up a bit on the DIS before I swap over to my work computer and work for another few hours. I'm far from lazy but just so tired at the end of the day and easy is rarely good for you. bleh.

The answer is easy. DO BOTH!!! Of course that's easy for me to say because I'm spending your money. LOL.

Assuming the rides you posted are your FP selections,
-12/2-right after you enter the line for Kali make more FP for HS. Maybe you can score a R&RC and ToT for before Club Villian starts.

-12/4- if you decide to buy tickets to MVMCP, I would recommend buying them under a different MDE profile. Doing it this way will give you the ability to book 3 more advanced FPs for MK. They just have to be no later than 6:30pm (or is it 7pm? I can't remember exactly)

Yes, the funnel cake is... but what about the one with ice cream and strawberry topping? Because THAT used to be a snack credit in September 2015! :sad1:
Can't figure out how to post it through my phone but it's definitely the same thing. Take a look at the posts of Disney foodies. :) outside Indiana Jones for 8.19 each!

this is skinny chick stuff. women like me can keep that list of snacks in our head ;)

This is too funny! I hear ya on the weight struggles, although you def have more challenging obstacles than I do! :worship:

Here's my ongoing weight loss journey. I'm working my way back to being a good weight, and I'm getting close! Had lost about 70 lbs a few years ago, which I had put on while overeating/drinking as my coping mechanism for the marriage I wasn't happy in. That time I actually ended up legit skinny, probably a little too skinny, lol. Unfortunately, I had a couple of back-to-back injuries, which knocked me out of running for a while and I just epically failed at maintaining the loss. I didn't gain all of it back, but a decent chunk of it! So beginning of the year I finally got back to my running addiction, and back on track, and I'm about 10 lbs away from the top end of what my healthy BMI range should be, and this time I want to find a healthy, happy, sustainable weight range for myself!

I would just say, sometimes the easiest way to start is just by making tiny little changes. Swap a healthier option for something you eat all the time. Cut out just one thing, for example soda if you drink it. Just small changes can make a difference without being overwhelming. And while I am NOT the poster child for this, lol, it is entirely possible to lose weight with no exercise at all. Obviously easier said than done, lolz. Sorry to ramble on here! I know how hard it is, so figure it can't ever hurt to share things that I've found helpful. For me, a helpful part of the process was sharing it with others! One of the reasons I love MyFitnessPal so much .

Ok, I'll shut up now! :rotfl:

We got this! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

I would LOVE to see an updated picture of the menu to prove to myself those are snack credits! It's one of those things, I just feel like I can't get my hopes up only to have them dashed when I arrive. Kwim? So I'll remain cautiously optimistic that we'll be able to get one but I'll try not to count on it.

We have a lot of similar park days! We are doing CV at 8:15pm on 12/2, so I highly suggest joining us. ;) We are doing the MVMCP on 12/1 though, not 12/4. 12/4 is our last day as well and we are planning MK in the AM and EP in the PM until it closes.

I love seeing all of your tshirt/bands/jewelry/bag/ears purchases!!! ...And I'm still sitting here adjusting fp!! ... Sigh :)

See more time to think and make changes. Sometimes I make a change, and then I realize right away that that was the stupidest change and i messed everything up. And then sometimes it's actually a helpful change. I'm just tweaking fp times to improve the flow of the days :) ... Takes me awhile :) but now I definitely see a change in availability at 30 days

Have a great weekend everyone!

I am sooooooooooo glad you asked this question! This is exactly what I have been trying to figure out for the last couple of days!

We have DDP for 9 nights.. Our first night is a RO. That night will be OOP.

We have 12 TS booked -need 13 credits
I think i'm going to do OOP for these -
1. CRT 3 people $226.08 (included tax&tip)
2 WCC Breakfast - DS skillet/shake, DD sticky bun/juice, me yogurt with fruit,
$70
3. Tokyo snack $80 - DS sushi, DD and myself miso soup and tea.
I'm actually budgeting $350 for those meals, $100 for 'extra' (drinks, appetizers, snacks), $300 for tips. My Total OOP food budget $800 ... For arrival night I have $150 in landry gift cards for T-Rex.....

Hope my logic looks ok

Lol...you know, I just have to laugh. Where else is a SNACK $80?! haha I'm remembering now you mentioned watching IllumiNations from Tokyo--I've read some great reviews about that! I think your logic looks great, and I always appreciate your input! :flower1:

@Talby If you are a Cotco member You can get discounted McCormick & Schmick's gift cards. $100 in cards for $80. You can use them at T-rex.

They can also be used at Yak and Yeti, Rainforest cafe or Bubba Gump (at Universal).. any landry restaurant.

I am not personally, but I do have friends who are members!! :D

Ok, that helps! This is probably what I would do. I am not using two table service credits at CRT because I have a lot of character meals and the price point doesn't make sense for me personally, but I would probably in your case since you have a lot of non-character breakfasts that might make more sense to be OOP.

  • Tangierine Cafe Lunch -- QUICK SERVICE credit
  • Coral Reef Dinner -- TABLE SERVICE credit #1
  • Garden Grill Breakfast-- TABLE SERVICE credit #2
  • Teppan Edo Lunch -- TABLE SERVICE credit #3
  • Flametree Lunch -- QUICK SERVICE credit (if not part of ROL package)
  • Yak & Yeti Dinner-OOP
  • Boma Breakfast -- OOP
  • BOG Dinner-- TABLE SERVICE credit #4
  • TRex Lunch-OOP
  • Wolfgang Puck Express Dinner-- QUICK SERVICE credit
  • H&V Dinner-- TABLE SERVICE credit #5
  • Whispering Canyon Cafe Lunch-OOP
  • Pecos Bills Dinner-- QUICK SERVICE credit
  • Tusker House Breakfast-- TABLE SERVICE credit #6
  • CRT Dinner-- TABLE SERVICE credit #7&8
  • Crystal Palace Breakfast-- TABLE SERVICE credit #9
  • Spirit of Aloha Dinner (pre-paid)
  • Maybe breakfast at the Wave departure day??-OOP

That's EXACTLY my speed, all broken down like that works great for me!! haha Super helpful, as usual!! :flower2: :thanks::flower2: I was once upon a time OOP (and even deluxe at a certain point!) and I think I'm probably back to OOP with this particular list.

Totally agree with this. The only thing I would do is I would probably use 1 or 2 table credits for T-Rex and Yak and Yeti (for more expensive entrees) and pay OOP for Crystal Palace which is 31.95 per person. With a more expensive steak entree (i.e. T-rex has a new york strip for 33.99 and Yak and Yeti has shrimo and steak for 28.99), dessert and drink, you would be spending more than 31.95. You can share the dessert too (if you're into sharing) ;)

Awesome input, as always. :) DS in particular is quite the carnivore and I suspect he will opt for steaks quite a bit--glad you mentioned that! :flower2: :worship::flower2: Good info in the event that we stick with the dining plan. If we do, there's a few changes I think I'd make in order for it to make more financial sense (drop a couple TS breakfastsh). I do know this, my time to flip-flip is winding down! lol

I wrote OOP next to the TS I would pay OOP for, but I'm not sure about how many nights you have. Have you looked into the Landry's Select club since you're eating at 2 of their restaurants? Also, do you have any birthdays in the near future or want to fudge a birthday to get their birthday gift while you're there (certainly not promoting this, but making you aware that many do and is a possibility)?

:flower2::flower3: :flower2:THANK YOU @LBlovesM&WDW! I did look into that over the summer ando the details are back-burnered somewhere. Is it accurate that the card gets you a one-time $25 discount, but it costs $25 to get the card in the first place? Or did I just butcher that? I can see how that would be helpful in conjunction with the discount for birthdays in the month of travel. ;) Otherwise, isn't it a wash?

And THANKS for commiserating @areno79!! haha You now, it's not a bad "problem" to have. Still, it gets a little confusing trying to figure it all out! o_O

ETA: @GoldenOwner So sorry--missed your comments first time around (I'm constantly doing that here it seems--missing things!) THANK YOU for your input. Very wise call! ;) :flower1::flower1:
