Agreed--my son's first trip (2 and 1/2 yo) he slept in the stroller next to the parade route. Through the marching band!

and @Lisa F , you are so right--there are ALWAYS meltdowns at WDW! For children and parents alike! And they usually get "lost" in the crowd. When my son reacts to someone else's tantrum, I reassure him that they just need a break. Helps him build empathy, too. ; )

a belated "Sorry about the bummed mood"! Hope you got some Pixie dust or a grapefruit beer (that happens to look like Guinness). . .
I tell my son the same thing--he has a "remote control" and he can either hand it over to someone else and let them control his day, or he can take it in hand and "change the channel". . . etc, etc. He's ten, but going on TEEN. Sometimes. But not at Disney!!!

Hi everyone! I am super late in the game. My family is staying in a cabin at FW on Thurs 12/1-Sun 12/4! Can't wait it's me, DH, DS2, DD5mo, and my mom! It's a quick abbreviated trip with the babies...we're doing MK 12/2 EMH AM until afternoon (not doing party) then heading to Boma for dinner (DH loves AKL). Sticking to main st and fantasyland for MK.

Then AK on 12/3 with Tusker house dinner. 12/4 we'll explore FW before flying home (Massachusetts). Can't wait! Kinda kicking myself for not doing a BOG breakfast on 12/2 but oh well!

There will be so many holiday treats to try at all the parks, don't worry about it! Disney never fails to find delicious ways to help us part with our money.

'Sup everyone! We are going back "home" 12/1-12/4!

We actually just had a fantastic trip in the beginning of December at the Poly and weren't planning to return to Florida until next September. We own DVC and are all out of points for now. BUT...I started daydreaming and conniving, and mentioned casually to DH "hey wouldn't it be awesome if we could run back to WDW again before our AP's expire on 12/5...for like YOUR BIRTHDAY on 12/4?" Only half-kidding. And DH was all "heck yeah we can...we're adults! We can do what we want!" So I jumped online and pulled up my Mousesavers newsletter and found a sweet deal off-site (I know i know) for a 1 bedroom at the Sheraton Vistana Resort. We have our own car so it's not an issue and as AP holders we get free parking. Throw in getting more days out of our AP's, and NO ADRS (we're going strictly counter serve) and it's shaping up to be a great, long weekend!

I just made our FP+ reservations over the last 3 days and got what we wanted at 30 days. Tomorrow is my last day of booking for our departure day. We really needed to have this trip to look forward to! Then we have a trip in February to visit family in Atlanta, then we can plan our September return to Florida (will probably book SSR or OKW as our base and do SeaWorld, Discovery Cover and Busch Gardens).

Can't wait for December 1st!

better versions of all of the above are available to buy all over the parks and DS. I would not book the xmas party for the free handout treats. It does seem to me like Disney is upping their game hopefully due to abysmal sales.
