***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Random question.

Do you have to stay on site to use the Kids Clubs? Simba's playhouse, Lilo's clubhouse?

Anyone else SWEAR they've caught up, only to go back and see they've missed things, or forgotten things they intended to say because they became distracted by other things here?

@rasadkowski My hat is off to you, too. ;) So glad the hard part of the renovations is done! Those can be a pain while they're happening, but always worth it in the end I think. :-)

@areno79 So I guess I'm not going to Sci-Fi 12/3 after all (that would have been fun!) but hip-hip-hooray for JBJB! :cheer2: Cracked up reading about your Disney dream! That surely would be a nightmare!

@Mrs. Inc Not sure if you are all set with your gluten-free DW plans, but I saw this and thought of you. Maybe you've already seen this, but there is a great link in here to GF menus. :)

@DisneyBelle27 Who knows what I'll end up doing o_O but I've had 12/8 dessert party tickets, dropped them, picked them back up after stalking, only to drop them again! (somewhat embarrassed by this! lol) And I know @rasadowski scored for a party of 6 after putting her stalking expertise to good use! So keep checking if you want to go!! :santa::cake:

@Candycane83 I think we may be watching the second parade on 12/8, but there is still p-l-e-n-t-y of time for me to flip-flop back and forth between now and then. Good 'ole open-mindedness and all that. ;)

@JamieOak That list of ADRs is a beauty! Are you doing a bunch of :badpc: ?

Totally get the open mindedness thing! ;) I'm going to say the same thing I told @LBlovesM&WDW if I decide not to do the dessert party (I'm still 50-50 on that, or maybe 60-40 in favour of not doing the dessert party), we could always meet up to stake out a spot for the fireworks ;) as @Lisa F said, unless we hate each other and decide not to come back from a bathroom break I think it would be fun :D

By the way, were u able to pay off your balance today?

@JamieOak That list of ADRs is a beauty! Are you doing a bunch of :badpc: ?

Yes, of course! I was late to the planning party so I've still not crossed the finish line. :P

Part of it is because I decided I wanted an Ohana dinner and had quite a few places it could fit so I set up a TP alert for 11/27-12/4 for any dinner time. I got quite a lot of options that way and kept picking them up and getting better times. Time to dump some of the non-keepers now.

Thanks for thinking of me...I think I have read some of this a while back, but I'd like to reread the thread before my trip.

Whooooeeee! Another fun day, which is no surprise! I'm laughing and all teary-eyed again because you are all so funny and just as equally kind and brilliant!

I just have to get it out to @SilSprBea because I'm bursting at the seams with happiness for you that your trip payment is finalized! I'm sure you are hugely relieved!! YAY!!

@Party.Of.4-NY>>>FL You're my Teppan Edo hero!! Incredibly thoughtful and generous that you picked another one up again, to add to your collection that you ALREADY picked up for me. MUCHAS GRACIAS, MI AMIGO! (It'd be so much better if I could pull that off in Japanese, but no can do! haha) :thanks:

Lots of people commented, and I read every single one, but I don't want to leave anyone out if I list them all....I appreciate all the input so much. THANKS A MILLION!! :flower3::flower3::flower3::flower3::flower3::flower3::flower3::flower3::flower3::flower3:

@Lisa F I feel like this should be a bumper sticker or a t-shirt on Etsy: "Dinner is a state of mind, not a time of day." I accept your challenge and think it is solution perfection!! I don't know why I was so closed off to that idea but it makes perfect sense! PPO Garden Grill, Teppan Edo SUNDAY DINNER ON SATURDAY, then JBJB dessert party with the coolest bunch EVER! I mean, how is that not a wonderfully amazing awesome way to spend our day?!?! And you picked up an ADR for me? Oh no....more teary-ness!

You all honest and truly are the BEST!! :thanks::rockband::rockband::rockband:
Yay! We've got Talby . We will coordinate drop and pickup tomorrow

Finally entered our address for AoA into our Amazon address book.

Next thing on my list (that I'm totally avoiding) is trying to figure out if it's worth getting each of us a rapid rewards # for Southwest. Ugh... I started to do it for dh but it's wanting email addresses and whatnot and obviously my 8yo doesn't have an email address so... :confused3 I'll just stick my head in the sand a few more days.

I did this the other day. Kind of a pain! I just used my email for my 9 year old.

@DisneyBelle27. I Also teach middle school!

Nice! I'm no longer in that field, but I did enjoy it while I was doing it!

And yay, I just remembered I got an envelope in the mail today, I received my Disney Rewards Redemption Card, woohoo! I love how all the little pieces are trickling in now as it's getting closer and closer!

And I've been contemplating whether it's worth stalking the Wishes Dessert Party for my MVMCP night, and I think I'm leaning towards no. It's going to be my first ever MVMCP, AND that will be my only MK time for the whole trip! So I'm not sure I can justify that much time being devoted to the dessert party.

Will have a dessert for you! We are attending two MVMCPs..so plenty of time for the dessert party for us. Also, we can view the fireworks at the hub on Tuesday, and just relax at the party the second time through.

OK...my NEXT WDW vacay is Sept 2018 for F&W with my DH...and after 20 years of planning Disney meals for the kids, we'll be wanting to do some more adult venues. But we LOVE a fun, Disney atmosphere...really don't want to eat at a restaurant that you can visit anywhere. And I totally trust this December disney planning team...so...what is your favorite fun Adult disney restaurant???
I really love Sci-Fi, even though it's not especially "adult", it's a must-do for us on every trip. :)

Random question.

Ooh, good question. I know you don't have to stay at the same hotel as the kids club...not sure about offsite guests though.

I agree with @Lisa F the 3pm Teppan Edo makes the most sense for you that day! It just seems like a nicer flow after a PPO breakfast at Epcot...and there are no shortage of snacks if you get hungry in between!:thumbsup2

I was on the fence about the dessert party too, but ultimately ended up passing on it. For me the parade view wasn't worth the money when the fireworks view was lackluster. I'm willing to wait for a good spot though, but I understand others may not. Plus from what I've read on similar parties, the tables are packed in, it's a bit haphazard, and the desserts just don't look that appealing to me. For people with larger parties (like @rasadkowski ) I think it makes sense...but for just me and DH I wanted flexibility, and to put my money towards other things.

It tool me forever to catch up with this thread. :) We started the remodeling on our kitchen and second bathroom and the contractors have torn the rooms apart. We no longer have a kitchen ceiling and the walls of the kitchen and bathroom are gone. It has made quite a mess. But it will be nice when it is done. ::yes::

I haven't ordered yet but had to make decisions because TODAY IS THE LAST DAY I CAN PICK MY MAGIC BAND COLORS WOOHOO!
a little excited. Kiddo decided he wants reindeer like me but on green so made that change and ready to order now :)
I've ordered Magic Band covers from this site. I like your Christmas covers.:)

Yeah, that was my concern. I don't want to be super rushed and stressed about getting to CP late. I think I'll keep Soarin' for now, and plan to try to get to FEA really early, if I make it to the park before opening, lol. And I'm going to keep stalking the fp's in case something at a different time opens up for FEA. And when it comes down to it, I will be heartbroken if I don't ride the new Soarin', but not heartbroken if I don't ride FEA, lol.
We really liked the new Soarin' while the FEA ride was just okay. There isn't a lot to it.

Also @DisneyBelle27 if @Lisa F and @Candycane83 end up doing the dessert party, you're more than welcome to grab a parade spot with me and DH!
your argument about the dessert party is exactly why I'm leaning towards against it! :) I think ultimately, I don't get why am I paying for a fireworks dessert party when the fireworks view is mediocre. Still leaning against it but having a hard time letting go... lol! @Lisa F where r u leaning today?

Leaning against too.

@ Talby - I've done the same flip flopping with the dessert party. Have firmly dropped it. Since we're sans kids we will go to the 2nd parade, and we're there Tuesday the 6th so really hoping it isn't a huge crowd. I've done the same with a few other ADRS - keep going back and forth! I've also been indecisive about a few FP+. Have dropped my FEA again since we're sans kids after reading a thread on if it is enjoyable for adults. I really don't think my DH will be into it, but he would ride Soarin over and over so I currently have Soarin as our tier 1 on both of our epcot days.

Speaking of Frozen - I don't have a pic, but I went trick or treating with my daughter and her 2 1/2 y/o twins - and as a good grandma should I dressed up in an Olaf costume at their request. It was really fun! Other kids and adults seemed to enjoy it. I even got high fived by a bunch of kids:)

Wish we were able to go to JBJB on the 3rd with the rest of the crowd, but we don't arrive til 8pm or so. I'm sure I'll enjoy it on the 5th although I'm slightly concerned that now they've increased the number of guests for this to 250.

That's so cool that you dressed up for the grandkids! I didn't even put out a pumpkin this year - although we did have candy and trick or treaters.
I still have JBJB party reserved on the 5th (3ppl). Did you get a reservation for that day? If no one here needs it, I might keep it to go a second time if the initial reviews are good.

NOVEMBER is here!!! Arrival month for some of our friends on the thread! and just a couple of days until 30 for most of us ;-)
Did anyone start or bump up a walking regimen (a question to the non-runners like me)? I looked at new shoes on Sunday but didn't buy anything. I did go to Joanns with my sister. She is making me a big cross body (some cool princess fabric that we found), my other sister a smaller cross body (we picked out Naughty or Nice fabric but when she got home she found some cool Disney villain fabric that she had, and my nephew a couple of string backpacks in Star Wars fabrics). At least I did something this weekend, but still so much to do....

:hourglass

@JamieOak I am looking very forward to seeing your final list once you've perfected it.

@Candycane83 Sigh. Nope, our final payment has not been made. It makes me more sad than mad because there is somewhat of a history with this person and I trusted her. She booked our trip 3 years ago and it was fabulous. :( I think my last email from her was in July? She's done absolutely nothing save for book this vacation. Thank goodness for all of you.

@jillyh It's somehow reassuring to know there are other flip-floppers!! You sound like an amazing grandma! I LOVE your Halloween story and glad you had such fun. :-)

@Lisa F Thanks a million! Just FYI that I won't be around much today but I'll PM you soon. :thanks:
