***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

OMG you guys...I had a very vivid Disney nightmare last night!!
I dreamt it was our EMM day, and it started off with us being late and getting there right after they let the EMM partygoers and the PPO ADR people in...but it was a madhouse!! We were trying to hurry up and get to Fantasyland, but there were so many people we had to wade through them. Then we got to 7DMT and there was a posted 75 minute wait! We decided to head to Peter Pan, but that had a long wait too. I couldn't find Winnie the Pooh, and then when I did they closed it down! We went back to 7DMT and stood in line, and the ride turned out to be boats and it was all people in wheelchairs in front of us that had to transfer. Then we couldn't find our way around because there was so much construction, so we couldn't get to Pinocchio's for breakfast.
After that I woke up, thank God! It was nerve wracking and I kept thinking I spent all that money for nothing.
O my! That;s a nightmare! :scared1: hopefully, it's just a nightmare and your EMM day goes very smoothly!

Hahaha! I've noticed that on the restaurants board :) I think it's great you speak your mind there. But then again, a lot of other people speak their minds there too. Very judge-y board at times but I love the dining reviews!
haha I mostly don't want people here to think I am a big argumentative jerk lol. It's just something I am very sensitive about after dealing with my own son's feeding issues and I do not think a child needs to be on the spectrum to experience some of the same stuff. Until I had my own child I never truly understood what a real person they are and that they should be respected like any other person. That is not the same as giving them their own way all the time but I do believe that they should have a bit of autonomy about what they put into their mouths and be taught to make the best choices possible in all situations rather than being forced to eat what they are told. And I was very old school before kiddo lol.

I think as long as he enjoys something, it'll be good. but if you could FP it, would you?
well on that night i'd have to give up my 7DMT at MK, which is not the end of the world. but i'd rather give up Sanaa than 7DMT I think!

We take our girls to nice restaurants here at home quite a bit. It's silly to see people fuss over what a child is wearing. As long as they are cleaned up (hair brushed, clean clothes, teeth clean, etc), who cares what the clothing is!

If these signatures didn't want kids, they wouldn't provide a kids menu and/or they would have an age limit, like V&A.

@Lisa F your son is such a cutie! Enjoy those signatures!

Smart choice. I think I've seen quite a few good reviews on Tiffins that I would like to try it... but Still, I really do like Yak and Yeti too... decisions, decisions....

I may be the only one here... But what does this mean? That it's open today but can't be fp?

I believe that was a picture of an "anytime fastpass". The type that can be used for any ride/attraction that takes fastpass at AK. However, they have noted at the top that it isn't valid for Rivers of Light. If you were to get one of those at Epcot right now, it would likely exclude FEA. At MK it might exclude 7dmt.

Nothing ruffles my feathers more than judgment (which I realize is judgmental of me!) Honestly, I think "Live and Let Live" may be the most over-quoted yet under-used philosophy there is. In my humble opinion. ;) Your adorable kiddo always looks genuinely happy and healthy. To the judge-y people...Ummm, pretty sure happy and healthy is the goal!

Wow--I just got off the picky eater thread---you made me very curious, Lisa F., and I can hardly believe what some people write! I don't know why some people feel the need to judge. Kids are who they are, and as parents, we are all (for the most part) just doing the best job we can. Some people on that thread need to lighten up!!! And I totally agree with this is VACATION...not the time or place to pick that battle.

I don't even know what to think of RoL anymore. I've revamped my plans so many times that there really isn't anywhere I can fit it in unless they have a later show. Is there any speculation about times at this point? I'm guessing it could be early.

I think as long as he enjoys something, it'll be good. but if you could FP it, would you?

yes, I probably would. I might just keep both ADRs, scan my FP+ into 7DMT and try to transfer my other 2 FP+ to my SDFP bands (just drop them on the phone and try to pick them up at a kiosk). I wonder if I could get a FP+ day of that way and keep 7DMT. if I had both a tiffins package and a Sanaa ADR I could pick whichever was better... probably need an early RoL show to still make it to Sanaa. I mean I'd almost give up the $20 cancellation fee on either to have the flexibility if that makes sense... but I wonder if I could just switch out of one or the other to a different day once I know. and once again driving myself crazy with "what ifs" and contingency plans. thanks disney!

@Lisa F mentioned rteetz says 5:30 and 7... I think I've seen 6 and 8 as well... but all speculation... Hoping it really would open up sometime, this week or next week :D

I think you can change it on the app to avoid cancellation fees... i've never tried but someone said it works on the app... (polyrob I think... Havent seen him in a while though). I think keeping both for the moment is smart. Once the actual schedules are released then you can make a better decision then.

On a unrelated note, we need to decide on the MVMCP dessert party too! :rolleyes1

rteetz had ORIGINALLY said he thought a second show at 8pm with expanded hours was a good chance.

but most recently I saw him respond to someone speculating 5:30 and 7. which would mean arrival night and early dinner only for me. which might be ok because honestly an 8pm show with FP+ would ruin my evening epcot plans after CA Grill and I've become fond of them lol... but I have my only Soarin' FP+ booked for then.

rteetz has speculated both and hands down his info is the best so my guess is he is really not sure and just speculating based on past experience rather than having heard anything. Usually when he hears something it is dead on accurate.

Agreed. Hope we have more news soon. He did speculate mid month, that's in 2 weeks.

:mic::mic: Paging all Disney planners! :mic::mic: Any available Disney planners, we've got another burned-out/confused planner up front!

I don't have FP in here because it'll just take longer and I don't think that matters for this. There are also nights we may be hopping, for example to catch IllumiNations, and that's not on here either because it's so flexible. What I'm trying to accomplish is going to JBJB on 12/3 (have tickets) with the least amount of disruption as possible. Teppan Edo needs to be a dinner and considered an event in and of itself. :) Everything here is a priority, but for the most part can happen at any point during our trip. (Cirque du Soleil cannot be changed). We do have park hoppers and I'm willing to switch park days or chase down ADRs. Isn't it so funny how I made a big huge deal about being DONE with ADR stalking?! :rotfl2:

PS: Really hate to post and run but I have a 12:00 meeting then DD has an appointment at 2:00.

Yeah, that was my concern. I don't want to be super rushed and stressed about getting to CP late. I think I'll keep Soarin' for now, and plan to try to get to FEA really early, if I make it to the park before opening, lol. And I'm going to keep stalking the fp's in case something at a different time opens up for FEA. And when it comes down to it, I will be heartbroken if I don't ride the new Soarin', but not heartbroken if I don't ride FEA, lol.
one of the benefits to being a single person... your chances of getting a last minute FP - are as high as they can be.

I can't help but laugh! I have planned 3 trips in 3 years, and I always have a dream about one of my carefully planned out days going to sh**...

And if it doesn't go as planned, all we can do is laugh, right?

I'll take first try at this.

I would say:

OPTION 1: Just do 8pm Teppan Edo and Illuminations. Hop to DHS at 4pm, return back to EPCOT after JBJB. I think this would be the least disruptive option.

OPTION 2: Move Teppan Edo to 12/2 and move Coral Reef to 12/4 for an early lunch 11:30? hop to AK after lunch. **by the way, I'm on the ROL or bust bandwagon too on 12/4! LOL! I have 4:30, 5:45 and 6:15 Y&Y plus a 5pm Tiffins :rolleyes1 Add AK on 12/5 for a few hours.

That's all I've got right now. I'm sure others will pitch in soon enough ;)

I will tell you that dress code at signatures is probably the #2 hot topic on the restaurant board, with "catering to picky eaters" being #1. Holy crap do both get my goat, especially the picky eater thing since I have one and since it always feels to me like I am being judged for not tying my child to a chair and force feeding him broccoli or starving him until he'll eat it. My personal thing, I have seen him struggle so much to try new things that are challenging textural and taste wise and literally be sobbing because he wants to please me so much and try whatever it is but he just can't make himself that I now feel like I am the champion of every picky eater in the world and can't keep my mouth shut, lol. But I digress.

People will SAY that you should dress up for signatures but honestly, like @LBlovesM&WDW I don't really. I may try to choose a non disney tee and just a plain solid tee instead and I never wear shorts but I might wear the khaki capris I brought ANYWAY instead of the denim ones, and I think I did the flip flop thing I suggested to you (with pedicured toes lol) and just stowed them for later since they are NOT good walking shoes for someone who is overweight with high arches. But kiddo wore his space mountain shirt because he wanted to wear it while looking at it from the same view, lol

10690259_10152255258761286_2023271140069418526_n.jpg

so who is gonna tell me that is not appropriate to wear at a disney restaurant? IMO anyone who is noticing what other people are wearing around them is not having a good enough time themselves. The ACTUAL rules are very loose and very common sense... nothing obscene, no swimsuits, no cutoffs (I think they mean daisy dukes, if you turn a pair of jeans into capris and roll the cuffs I think it is just fine) and no tank tops - I am pretty sure they don't mean camis for women either, they mean wifebeaters with hairy stanky arm pit hair hanging out on men. Pretty much anything remotely decent is within the rules and if you feel like dressing up any more than park wear, it is totally at your discretion. Some people LIKE to dress up and are not going to parks before and/or after and so they do and it enhances their vacation. For me it is hassle, lol. We went to MK after so we dressed ready to go :) Just don't ask about it on the restaurant boards!
Love that photo so much! Hear hear on picky eating. My daughter has texture issues too (no liquidy or creamy food). So she has to eat plain pasta and raw veg and crunchy fruit like apples. Thank you for championING our kids...people should not judge! Rant over and back to work for me.
