***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Okay, I was worried I was mis-remembering about the exact discussion over what caused 9/25 to sell out so I went digging through the MNSSHP thread and found what I was looking for!

Seeing that both parties have passed, it's a moot point, but I thought it was worth mentioning, for future planning --- 2017.

Typically Fridays are busier than Sundays, but pricing probably was a determining factor for most this year. Just a thought, nothing was ever confirmed, but the question was asked several times on this thread, a few bloggers speculated about the pricing of Friday, September 23rd ($85) and Sunday, September 25th ($72). Over a $10 difference and for larger families that could be a deal breaker.

Glad you had a great time!!!! :maleficen

Also, the 23rd was not a CM discounted night and the 25th was the last one. It's normal for that one to sell out.
So I guess it was the cm discount I was thinking of, not AP/dvc.

Oh I see, I found this with a quick google... we are WELL clear of any cast member discount pricing, which is quite steep and would explain why it might cause a party to sell out

though I did read that they added more CM discounted nights for October based on low sales so I guess we will have to see what is going on in December.

all of the parties our week are within a few $$ of each other, not a $10 spread like that... they don't get more expensive until the following week

Going back to foot hygiene, I've had lots of luck using Body Glide on my feet. I then usually pack blister band aids in the park bag. The key though is if you are buying new shoes is to break them in prior to coming to WDW.

Oh good!

Quick question about tickets/fastpass just so I know i got it right. I know there is a fastpass board but I just feel more comfortable here. So for DS(17 months) he does not need a ticket to the parks or a ticket for MVMCP or fastpass reservations, but he needs to be included in dining reservations. Correct?

yes, you will carry him onto rides with you and he doesn't need a scanned magic band but for restaurants he does need a seat even if he is sitting on your lap

That's great you're attending two parties!

easier to do cause we're just two.....DD is really looking forward to riding all night with low line waits, I'm most excited about holiday festivities...so two nights it is...also won't bother with many meet and greets, although the seven dwarfs might be too hard to pass up.

I agree, it is really easy for me to add extras in with the kiddo and me, they are all around $100-$150. But when I see what the same thing costs for a family of 4-6, I get all :crazy2: lol.

I would totally do it twice if we had the time but too many other nighttime things to do!

Yep. $577 for our family to add another MVMCP. We might, but we're going to wait until after we do the first one to see if we think it's worth it. We'll probably do 2 extra events beyond the 2 we already have scheduled (EMM 11/27 & MVMCP 12/1). Either a 2nd EMM plus a 2nd MVMCP or 2 extra EMM's or any combination of the 2. Or we might decide one of each was enough and just put our extra money toward Christmas instead.

I'm kinda bummed about Disney's change in plans they posted. They had been doing a Frozen Holiday Wish at 6:15 and 7:30 (8:15 on party nights) every day regardless of whether you attended a party. We're not going to a party but we had planned on the 6:15 show and then exiting the park for dinner on our opening day. Now it's gone (I noticed it in my touring plans that my plan couldn't be updated unless I removed it) and I went to the Disney website for my park day and they only list the 8:15 show on 12/4 (party night) and no shows on 12/5 (non party night). I wonder why they decided to make that change?

From yulilin3 (a CM)on the MVMCP thread:
"They just added the Frozen Holiday Wish at 6:30pm. every night, not just party nights, until Nov 26. But I'm sure they will extend it"

Yep. Hurry up and wait!

IIRC, it was shown twice per night last year. Even on party nights.
I had just assumed it was set at 6:15 because Touring Plans let me build a plan with it in it, and "poof" today it is showing up as messing up my plan. It is so frustrating to plan with Disney constantly mucking with things.

I'm getting so confused! I suddenly realized after searching for a Tusker House breakfast all morning, for the first Tuesday we're there, that I was looking in December instead of November!  This trip spanning 2 months is for the birds! I've gotta get my act together or I'll have ADR's for 3 weeks AFTER our trip! lol

Thanks, @Party.Of.4-NY>>>FL I wasn't following that other thread since we're not doing a party. I hope they put it back. We thought it would be a fun way to end our first day in the park before heading over to Chef Mickey for dinner. However, if its at 6:30 then we might be a little late for our 6:55 dinner. I guess we can walk fast :-)
I haven't followed that thread since it seemed entirely composed of people announcing which party they are going to be at, lol.

You are not alone. I've done that with December/November too! So yesterday I hit refresh on one of my CRT search and since it had been a while since I'd been at my computer, it reset the date to the current date. Well, I was so excited to see an available Cinderella Royal Table and jumped for joy. Then I realized it was for 6 weeks before i needed to go! Ugh, back to the drawing board.

I've been following both the MVMCP thread and the MNSSHP thread because the Halloween one seemed to have more information and I figured their experiences would probably give us a good deal of insight into what our parties would be like. It seems the MVMCP thread is starting to pick up with more info now though. Must be getting closer!:cheer2:

Or people asking the exact same question over and over again, usually less than a page after it was already answered. Has no one noticed the happy little search thread button? Yes, for the love of God you can get in the party at 4pm! YES IT SNOWS ALL NIGHT ON MAIN STREET OMG! :badpc:
