***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

You guys are making me feel like I need to get busy planning my days out. In the past I have done Touring Plans, but on our last trip felt to tied to them. So I had decided this trip would be more go with the flow - just plan ADRS and FP and let the rest be spontaneous. I think I at least need to make some notes on snacks not to miss out on! Am I crazy for not doing the Touring plans? ugh!

I don't think you are crazy. We are basically 2 first timers, even though I was there as a child. I used the Touring Plans to help me figure out FP times to shoot for. I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do with the TPs I made. I'm not sure yet if I want to try and follow them or just follow the general path I planned through the park. And my last 2 days will have just ADRs and FPs.

Not at all crazy. I'm definitely not a newbie to the parks so I do know my way around, and have a pretty good idea of how to make my way around the parks/know which rides get crazy, but I have never once ever used an actual touring plan. I do what you're doing. Get my fp's in place, get any dining reservations in place, and just use my own common sense/mood to fill in the rest on the fly. I think I'd feel way too constricted if I had a schedule with everything planned out from one thing to the next. Would take away a lot of the fun for me.

Anyone know how they will be keeping track of their itineraries? Will u be printing a hard copy or will you just be relying on your smartphones??
I'm going to make myself a little mini-itinerary note card for each day that I can keep in my purse. I started working on it the other day, putting ADR times, FP times, and a rough touring plan (the days I've made one).

Not at all crazy! This is the first time we're using them, and even so, we're not using them for every park every day. My last 2 trips we really just had FPs and maybe 1 ADR, and they were GREAT trips!

I'm the same. I used tp basically to minimize walking and waiting. I promised my family I wasn't going to get too commando with plans bit told them when I give you directions you follow and do not question me lol

LOL, this is my basic idea too. Look for a route we can take and whether we ride something or not depends on the line and my son. Basically just to minimize walking and avoiding tantrums... :P My last couple of days are undecided and a little more unstructured in terms of touring. I figure we'd go back to favorites by then.

This is how I have my little cheat sheet set up. It's still a work in progress of course, lol. I'll print it and fold it in half so it's double sided, and then probably laminate it, and just keep it in my wallet or purse.

I'm planning on printing out copies of my spreadsheet itinerary and touring plans itineraries, but will update TP on my phone on the fly if need be!

I was wondering if anyone here was planning on decorating their room/windows/doors? I had originally ordered this tiny, light-up, collapsible tree https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0130LJ772/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 so the bf and I would have a Christmasy room. I'm debating still bringing it and sticking it by the window, to add some holiday cheer to the room, lol. Anyone else doing any room/door/window decorating?

Alright, I know we were talking about bags a while back. DH is carrying his backpack which will have ponchos, water bottles, and our fleece jackets if necessary.
However, I've been looking at the Vera cross body Mini-Hipster bag (the Minnie bird one or whatever?) and it is SO cute! My fave colors are black, pink and white and I'm so tempted to get it.
Does anyone have one or know the approx. size? I just want it to keep my phone, my tiny foldable wallet, and sunglasses.
Those were cute...I like the solid red, especially for the upcoming holiday trip!

I'm feeling very unorganized myself over here--you all are PROFESSIONALS! . . . I suppose I can make a possible itinerary, but I don't want to be completely "booked" or inflexible with it, either.

OMG this is super helpful. thanks for posting it. It confirms that we should RD TT and should have plenty of time to get to soarin' with a minimal wait. I agree that epcot in general is much more crowded during F&W festival but we will have holidays around the world too, while not quite the draw of the food booths in F&W and F&G is still a draw. All of that hard data makes me feel better!
Josh cracks me up:
'Frozen Ever After, a ride that is perhaps enhanced even further when viewed on someone else’s phone held high above their head'. . . :D

Using only my phone, but we are two adults with no meet and greets planned...very low-key!
I'm interjecting as well. B&C is Edy's and Ample Hills is homemade--no brainer on that one for me!
where is this ample hills?

We do--at least window clings of a holiday scene or something. Added benefit--helps me realize we are at the room easier after a long day at the parks!

Don't forget Vivoli il Gelato at DS this time too! Last trip, I tried the salted caramel at L'Artisan des Glaces and it tasted horrible and I love salted caramel. I honestly thought something was wrong with the batch, that's how gross it was and it went in the trash immediately. Besides the gelato in Italy, it was the first time I was able to eat ice cream in the World (didn't know about the Fountain), since I have some kind of allergy to a preservative in ice cream, so I can only have homemade. I love all sweets (except lemon and lime stuff), so I'm going to happily go into a sugar coma j/k.
So jealous...I'm allergic to the dairy....

I'm going to bring my printed out itinerary (the one I posted an image of up above) for fun, so when I'm sitting at the airport and on the plane I can stare at it and get even more excited, lol. I'll probably just make myself a tiny cheat sheet card with my fp and dining reservation times/#s (and a few snack must-do's) just to have as a backup, but will mostly rely on my phone. I bring a portable charging pack with me, plus my phone is brand new right now, so I'm not too concerned about battery issues. Also, I no longer have the Samsung Note 7 so I know it won't blow up! :rotfl:

I don't follow a super detailed touring plan for each park so I don't need to have something like that with me as a reference.

And, I just purchased $400 worth of Disney gift cards with my new RED Card! Saved $20, I'll take it.
Cheat sheet back up...good idea
