***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

I love that you use the word "amazeballs" lol. that is one of our words :)

I can't find the old post but speaking of the weather forecast, it is 70 here today in new england. I'm starting to believe that lower 80's might not be so off for our trip. I prefer lower 70's for daytime highs but given how much of our touring will be after the sun goes down, if it is in the 60's I will be one happy puppy!

It's one of my favorite words, lol.

I'm in southern NY, as you know, Rockland County, and it got up to the low 80s yesterday and Wednesday. Ugh. I am NOT a fan of heat, I just want nice cool fall weather! Today at least is only getting up to the low 70s and tomorrow is going to be in the 50s, huzzah! I would be absolutely thrilled with some cooler days in Orlando when I'm down there!

So who here is going to do Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom? I just want to get an idea.

I talked to kiddo about it last night and unsurprisingly (he is REALLY into pokemon now) he is really excited about it. I explained to him that the games are very long, a half hour (for him that is very long) and to do the WHOLE game would take 5 hours or so and he seems fine with maybe doing one round. Which is fine by me. but he is SUPER into collecting the cards and I mentioned the special party cards. we googled and found the zootopia card for MNSSHP (I think this year) and he is dying for that one already. I joined a facebook group for trading (well request still pending), hoping I can trade my MVMCP card for a MNSSHP with someone. He of course wants the official binder and that is probably no worse a thing to spend his souvenir money on than any other disney junk. We are going to be entering the MK 3 times. I'm also wondering if he enters with his AP and I enter with my regular 7 day PH pass (i have an extra day if I don't use it on MVMCP day anyway and it will just expire) if I can get two more packs of cards on my "phantom" bands that have MVMCP tickets attached to them. Do you actually have to scan the bands for entry to get the cards? enquiring minds... lol.

I also assume that you can buy card packs in the emporium. I read that the "super rare" cards show up in the emporioum and I am assuming those are NOT free :)

they do, huh? wonder what my toilet paper is there? I need to check into it. For someone who lives on a literal island with like 2 chain stores (one is stop and shop) stuff like this is a lifeline to the real world.

Eekk... it's down to 51 now, going to 40s tonight. Hoping Disney will be warmer... :P

For sure on the jealousy thing! We were originally booked in a 2 bdr villa at Kidani but had to downgrade to save money (and get a longer trip - I can handle that!). I was going to love having that washing machine available! Oh well. At least that laundry app gives me freedom to roam around a bit. We'll see. TMI, but my biggest problem is just not having enough bras to get through. I suppose I could try hand-washing them. Then I'd have to bring liquid detergent instead of those little pods. Hmm...
Solidarity! In the real world, if I'm not doing anything sweaty, I'll get two days out of mine before they need washing, but on vacation and traipsing all over Disney, I suspect they won't get a second day, so I'll probably need to wash some up too. I was thanking my lucky stars yesterday that I fit into a pair of jeans I haven't worn since last year (Thanks couch to 5k!) so that now I have 3 pairs of jeans that fit instead of 2 so that at least I have more clothing options! I didn't really want to have to buy any specific clothes (besides fun Disney apparel) for this trip if I could help it!

I didn't even read the link posted on this thread yet yet but DH (my second child) seems to be interested since it's free, LOL! But I doubt we would be seriously playing. Just the one offs probably? See, I have no idea how this games work.

haha well I think you hit certain spots in the MK for a "quest" (the map you pick up tells you where?) and you use the cards (you get a pack for free) to do spells to defeat the villains. Or you can just collect the cards. I think it taking so long to do a quest will mean we do one quest lol but that's fine, we will probably just hit stops when they are close to where we already are assuming you don't have to do it in order. but he LOVES collecting the cards so I think that will be an aspect.

LOL, DS will chew on the cards... But I think we can pick up the free one pack from the firehouse and go from there. I guess I will need to read the link before going!

We did see it on our last trip and DH seemed interested... (but I wasn't... ) LOL!

By the way, I saw this posted on the December thread:

Disney Parks Christmas Day Parade filming is happening at Walt Disney World 11/9-13. It is stage performances only, parade is at DLR.

I am brining zip bags and tupperware (to use in the room, or pack leftover goodies from a meal). Not sure how it works at the dessert parties (never done one before) but I would love to take any "packable" leftovers with me!
When I read josh 's review of emm I was thinking of pacKing some tupper wear for extra fruit and pastry to snack on at the park. Also the juices are in bottles. Is it a faux pax to slip some in my bag?

Dd was kinda interested but when we read how long the games took she sain she would rather be doing rides. :)

kiddo too. I told him we could maybe do one quest a day at most but I think he is MORE interested in collecting the cards to be honest. I am ok with that!

I think they aren't doing bottled juices anymore. Things have changed a bit since Josh did his review, but most of his observations are still valid based on more recent reviews I've read.

I'm actually more interested in the Wilderness Explorers in AK. I heard that you could do that game while walking around the park... Not really quests I think.

Ok for those who were planning JTA at hs it looks like someone had h&v ppo today and had no issues signing up first thing and got 2 extra fp+ to boot. It seems to be random so just keeping fingers crossed!

We are planning to play at some point. I hope we can remember to pick up packs of cards each time we're in MK. With 6 of us going on 4 separate days, that's a lot of cards! Plus we'll get 6 MVMCP cards at least, so we should be set. :)
