***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

it looks like they are ONLY bookable for Tiffins not for TH.

Tiffins isn't even a listed participating restaurant. Flame Tree and Tusker House are the participating restaurants per the text under Showstopping Suppers.

Also, from the website: Rivers of Light Dining Packages are available beginning May 1.

if you scroll down tiffins is listed as a participating restaurant. looks like they haven't figured it out yet. I believe the May 1st date was from when they were going to open the show in April. Maybe they just brought the old page live again without editing it much.

@Talby what date are you going to the Illuminations party? I have been stalking and eyeing it for months. It's actually the best deal out if all the parties.

I'm considering 11/27 or 12/2

I wonder if I could make it to the party after F! On 11/28

@Lisa F thank you so much for the SDFP explanation. That makes sense and it sounds like either the plastic expired tickets or my friends' magic bands will work. I might try using the tickets as it will be easier to just pull them in/out as needed for us instead of trying to juggle two sets of magic bands!

@Candycane83 im so glad I'm not the only one terrified of the SDFP thread! They really give you a hard time if you ask a question they think they already answered. That's why I love this thread- we may annoy @Lisa F with our SDFP questions but she is always super nice and helpful about it!!!

@rasadkowski yeah on scoring the dessert party!!! So happy for you all. I love how the Disney persistence pays off.

@Talby the sparkling illuminations party looks awesome! I would totally book it if I was sure my kids will last through illuminations and we weren't having a birthday dinner (with dessert) immediately beforehand.

@BDFmom you have made my day! I keep hoping for the realease of these because it means that ROL is coming and that we'd be able to get in like we can for Fantasmic! with the dinner packages. But since disney likely won't convert our existing Tusker House reservations to the package I'm sure it means lots more ADR stacking-- grr!

We're going on 12/6 after our afternoon/early evening Disney Springs day. :-) I think one of the pros of this dessert party is that you'll not really need to line up ahead of time. People do, but since there's really not a bad spot (and some people seem to stand along that railing for viewing), I don't think a bunch of time has to be spent waiting in line. So it seems like you could make it work after F! if that's what ends up being the best night for you. ;)

@BDFmom I also wanted to ask if you ordered the graduation ears?? They are even cuter in person! (probably because it's cool to see my own kid's personalization! haha)

@SilSprBea Are you keeping a "next time" list? I pretty much have our next trip planned by keeping a list of things I want to do but that don't fit into this trip for whatever reason! lol ;)

@SilSprBea and @Party.Of.4-NY>>>FL and @anyone else considering FP for shows......I've read (and been told by a few CMs for whatever that's worth) that FP seating at shows is reserved seating and is often better than what you'll get without a FP. It has been explained to me that not ALL the great seats are in the reserved FP section but many are. We are FP'ing Beauty and the Beast because it is a high priority, even though it likely isn't necessary. It's important so, what the heck, we'll use 'em. ;)

"Anything Disney" and "tempting" seem practically interchangeable. :-)

We did Beauty and the Beast show without FP, and there is a middle section roped off for those with FP--you should have great seats. Amazing show--we all enjoyed it very much.

Thanks for confirming this!!:-) I have had a handful of CMs tell me FP seating is better for shows, but it's very helpful to have first-hand input. I'm even more excited for this now after your review!! :thanks:

@Talby I totally have a list with Pirates and Pals Fireworks Cruise, EMM, MVMCP, Illuminations Dessert Party, and Star Wars Dessert Party! And some of your experiences for the older kids are amazing-- just not sure they will still be offered when my kids are old enough for the Wild Africa Trek, but it's on the list :-)

this is totally 1am worthy excitement!!!!!!

I still haven't given mine up and am thinking of doing the same thing @Party.Of.4-NY>>>FL is doing... use it for the parade and desserts ONLY. I am thinking of bringing a container with me to grab some desserts and doing so and then heading out into the hub for better fireworks viewing. not sure if that is nuts or not though.

Also kiddo is begging me to do Illuminations Sparkling dessert party lol. I am thinking of doing it either for the finale of my long Epcot day except i have biergarten dinner at 6:20... but wondering if maybe we just have dinner and skip dessert we'll be ready for dessert an hour later.... right now the last thing I have planned for the day is FEA FP+ from 7:20-8:20 and I had been planning to just find a spot in and around mexico for Illuminations or maybe SDFP the FP+ spot, which is also right near there.

The other time i could fit it in is after F! if F! is at 7pm... that is also on evening EMH at Epcot so we could potentially do Soarin' with FP+ and then head to the dessert party (it spaces dinner and dessert party further apart as I have dinner at H&V for 4:30pm). It would be a nice night and we could potentially sleep in the next day before our 10am Garden Grill ADR and skip the RD madness. The problem with this is if they expand hours and change the time of F! to 8 I'd be kind of SOL for that whole plan.

Then I could potentially fit it in after CA Grill but I was planning to do RoL if possible that day... but if there is no SW fireworks I can do RoL on my AK day.

gah why won't they release more info? blah. could seriously use some help figuring it out.
Thanks @Lisa F :) The lack of info for these great big events is definitely a hiccup :( I would love to do the illuminations party for Epcot!! But, the next morning we have an early breakfast....then the mvmcp that night. So, with my family, one late night is all that we can really do. That's why I decided to go all out with the Christmas party and get the dessert party with it :)

Enjoy that! Can't wait to hear how it is!

So many amazing ways to create an awesome Disney vacation, right? I'm excited about the "big kid" stuff no doubt, but love how there is so much to do no matter the age. Your kids are at SUCH precious ages for Disney. Ohmygosh...it's going to be amazing to experience it all through them. And I imagine your DD will talk about her 5th birthday for decades to come!! :cake: Great things all the way around!! :flower1:

You've gotta leave some things for next time. ;) That party night will be incredible! :santa: I think doing Disney in the way it works for your family and girls at the ages they are now is a great plan. And enjoy every single second of it because before you know it, they'll be driving and voting and stuff! lol

so focusing on Rol :) I did see yesterday when I was checking out the Rol page...which looked exactly like it has looked for months.....that there was a little Fastpass+ link on it. Was that something new? I never noticed it before

The little fast pass thing has been there for a while because I tried clicking on it about a month ago and it took me to the fast pass page (which I wasn't eligible to view because I hadn't reached the 60 day mark)

oh boo :) I was hoping.
I know someone just posted that Dining packages begin May 17, right? Maybe they are trying to work with people who have their 180 mark coming up? no? that way everyone would have a fair chance to book it? Am I making sense at all? I might be confused

I think it might be leftover from last spring and they reactivated the page. Apparently they were all ready to go with dining packages for last may and then the show got scrapped. Someone on here suggested (can't recall who at the moment) that they reactivated the page without editing it. Hopefully it will get fixed soon :-)
