***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Hey everyone. Not sure if anyone knows this but I figured I'd share here with my closest disboard friends. Apparently New Balance outlets have received Run Disney sneakers and they are selling them for around $50 or so! I read about it on my purse groups... they have had them for the whole weekend so a lot of stores are picked over (this is of course a very good item to resell). Kicking myself because a friend asked me if I wanted anything a few days ago and I could not focus, now her store is almost all sold out. :( But I do need new sneakers for my disney trip and about now is when I should start breaking them in.

I just picked up a pair on ebay for about $25 more than I could get them myself (I can't possibly get to an outlet an hour + round trip ferry ride away right now anyway) and am thrilled. They have a bunch of other styles. Here is what I got:

OMG I want some of those and I can't find them online!!!
not online. they were from a 2015 run disney event. at new balance factory outlet stores only. If you have one near you, you can call to check stock, just ask for the "grey minnie" ones.

Love my runDisney shoes! I got the Cinderella ones when we did the Tower of Terror Ten Miler in 2014. They will definitely be going back to Disney with me in December. That's a great deal though, I don't remember exactly how much I paid for mine at the race expo, but it was DEFINITELY over $100.

I think they were $120+ and around $50 at the outlets (+tax if you tax clothing in your state). I have ginormous duck paddle feet and have read the cindy's run very very small, size up a full size. I need something with a toe box that will accommodate my monkey feet.

Haha! Yeah, Cindy did run a little small. I had to go up a half size from what I requested, and I remember I was terrified when the 9.5 was just flat out too tight in my appointment that they wouldn't have a 10 or bigger. The whole bit about having to schedule appointments and request your size ahead of time was so stressful, especially if you're like me who it really just depends on how it's made as to what size I wear.

I'm most dreading the logistics of packing. We're driving down and taking the train home. Just making sure I'm organized and have bags packed correctly. I'm also dreading all the school work we have to bring and get my 3rd grader to do on the way home.
@Mintycake you're right about St.Nicholas day. My kids will be bummed to miss the school activities with that. I'm sure they will quickly get over it though. Disney> School. Haha

I'm hoping the grey 10's work for me. they are 990's and i read reviews on them, they have a wider toe box (but they are not wide) and don't get great reviews for serious runners but are apparently great shoes for walking and for people with arthritis and other foot pain. My last pair of new balance were walking shoes in a 9.5D so i sized up half a size for width. I learned the hard way to not buy shoes that JUST fit when I am in buying in cool weather in an air conditioned store because my feet swell when I walk a long way or in the summer. size 9D actually feels perfect in January lol

Can we talk money?

I am suddenly at a point where I need to figure out what to put into gift cards.

I have room paid for, DxDDP paid for through the end of wednesday on my trip (so paying OOP for meals on Thursday, Friday, Saturday breakfast). I updated my spreadsheet with AP discounts (my savings went from $229 to $178 on DxDDP but it is still a good savings lol).

Anyway I have figured on $180 for tips (20%, ordering highest priced entrees at certain sit down places).
I have $195 for OOP meals and I'm sure there will be some snacks.

I need to figure out a booze budget as well. I figured around $100 would do the trick for the week

$108 for SWaGS desset party

so that is $583. I have $172 left on my master gift card I was using to pay for the other stuff with. I was thinking of getting another $500 but that doesn't leave a whole lot for extras. Kiddo has a $100 gift card he is earning for his souvenirs. I just don't want to be in a situation where I have a lot of disney gift cards left, but I'm sure I will buy more than $89 in souvenirs. Anyone given any thought to souvenir budget?

We will have 6 the 12-15 and 4 the 16. Ideally I would LOVE a pre party 12/16 for 4 and a 12/10 1900 for about 8:15PM. I have a 7:10 1900 but our flight was changed to 6:35 landing. I have a 12/12 2:20 CRT and a 12/15 2:00 BOG I would be willing to trade (both for 4)

@Tinker06 i found you a 1900 PF dinner for 4 on 12/10. It's a little later than you wanted. It's at 8:50. I snagged it for you. If you want it we can do the exchange later (running around now) and if not let me know and I will drop it back.

@Lisa F My souvenir budget is out of this world. I'm a bit of a shopaholic and have watched many "Disney World Hauls" on Youtube that have encouraged me to buy way too much. Plus all the new shops in Disney Springs have me going wild. I also want to purchase a Dooney which of course eats up a bunch of my money. I'm thinking around $1000 for souvenirs. But that also will probably be my booze and tip money too. Gahhhh I just want to buy all the things!!

~ $50/girl. They already have so much, and even though we could bring up to 8 suitcases (2/pp on SW), that seems a bit excessive. I'll probably go to the Dollar Tree at some point too and find little Disney things and call it a "souvenir". They'll each probably get a stuffed character and maybe a t shirt? We'll see when we get down there. Also, since GiGi (aka, grandma), is coming, the girls will be plenty spoiled.

For DH and I, we'll probably wait and get something in Universal. Again, all subject to change. ;)

Haha, it's very easy to do that! Especially when you pay with a Magic Band. ;)

Also, I didn't mention that we're also on the DxDDP, and so we'll probably have many snack credits leftover which means we'll be able to take some yummy treats home also as a souvenir.

I haven't sat down yet and gone over exactly how much we'll spend on souvenirs. We opened up the Disney Visa a few years ago in anticipation of the trip. So, we'll be taking all of the Disney dollars we've earned since then to spend on souvenirs and extra OOP meals. We're planning to tell the girls that they can each get 1 thing a day. So, that'll be 6 days (we're not including arrival or departure days when we'll just be at the resort) they're the type to usually just want something small sometimes, and then want a stuffed animal the next, and then maybe a costume the next...if one day is more, the next will be less to try to stay within reason.
I was going to buy the disney trinkets early on at the dollar store, but I just decided to skip it since we can get those anytime. I did pick up a few really cute shirts/shorts from the disney store for them to wear, though.

Just 45 days left until we get to Orlando and....my room balance is paid in full! :yay::banana::cool1::cheer2:

I had a room only reservation, so I wasn't due to pay until check in. But since I'm paying in gift cards I'd rather just call and pay it ahead instead of traveling with an extra $3000 of gift cards. I'll already be taking around $1500 in gift cards with us to cover our dining. It's been on my to-do list for about a week and Lisa talking about gift cards made me think to just do it.

My total saved by buying Disney gift cards is $625 so far (17%), and I still need another ~$1000 which I'll save at the very least 5% on. I might use that as part of my defense if I do want to upgrade our tickets to APs and my DH is not on board. :earboy2:

lol I might buy a dooney for myself too if there is something I love. it is tempting with the 20% off for APs. There is nothing new that I really love right now but we'll see :) I am not going to put that on gift cards though because i don't want to be stuck with gift cards if I DON'T buy it so I will just pay separately for that. Just trying to figure out everything else, lol.

Money wise, I've paid for our disney package for the last leg of my trip with DxDP and paid for my room only at Swan. I haven't paid the room reservation for my universal stay since I'm not sure how it will work with the AP rate. We can't get gift cards here in Canada and with our currency, I'm going to be dizzy trying to multiply the prices of everything I see by approx 1.3! :faint:
