***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

I have a real life Lucifer the cat. Luckily I don't have to deal with packing him. My husband still doesn't believe that we are taking the smaller Christmas tree. Denial.
Hahahaha yes he's not packing so he should really stop being in denial :rotfl2:

Does your party of (up to) 4 want to go to Sci-Fi on 12/3 at 3:05p?

Please PM me if you do. ;)

I'll give it a couple days before posting on the December cancellations thread.

Oh I so wish I could take it! Still looking for Sci- Fi on 12/1!!!!!

Hey guys! So I had a question abut the dessert party again. We are a party of 6, but in the event that I can get 3 parties of 2, where exactly would we be needing or be assigned tables? Is it for eating desserts and watching fireworks? Are there tables for parade viewing? Or is that just a big area where the 6 of us could stand?
Also, do we even have to sit at a table? Or could we just stand together somewhere? Thank you!

It's my understanding that the tables are assigned. I don't know when or how they assign them. Is it based on when you booked? When you check in at TT before going to reserved parade viewing (if your talking about HOLIDAY dessert party), or when you arrive there after the parade? I would think that when you arrive at TT to check-in you could make the CM aware that you are 3 parties of 2 and they could accommodate you and seat you together. I've actually never been to TT, even for a regular meal so I don't know the configuration of, or the size tables they have.

If any of this is inaccurate please correct me.

I don't think the tables are assigned. I believe they are first come first served. I'm a little unclear about how this would work in actuality when everyone shows up at the same time after the parade, faster walkers at the front of the line I guess.

I don't think it matters how you book your parties, it's not like a regular ADR.

Made it to Tampa!! It was a hot one today. My coworkers and I went to Clearwater Beach and ate and walked around for a few hours...the water was beautiful!
This week is going to be nuts for me, so if anyone sees a SW dessert party release or something equally important, please let me know!

Does anybody want a BOG breakfast at 9:15 on 12/4? It's only for 2 people though. I randomly picked it up earlier thinking maybe we would want it, but I think we'll be happier keeping our lunch there instead.

On the topic of packing, should there be a good mix of warm and cold weather clothes? Shorts and tees and pants and sweatshirts? I would think not to many if any tank tops. I know it's early and I'll watch the weather when it gets closer just wondering if I should bother keeping any summer stuff out.

Good question! Wondering about this too... I'm thinking tees and a hoodie but maybe a few sweaters too

My youngest practically lived in one dress that she kind of attached herself to over the summer, so I never ended up getting her much of a summer wardrobe. We're going shopping tomorrow to see if we can find any shorts and t-shirts on the clearance racks. Wish us luck! Hope we aren't too late.

Check oldnavy.com and jcrew.com I saw they have shorts in clearance and there is a coupon code for Columbus weekend.

I am planning on layers. Shorts, long and short sleeve tees, and one or two pairs for jeans. I am a horrible overpacker though so I have to watch it!

YES!! Years ago we'd seen a Samantha Brown show where she went to Disney at Christmas and we were in awe of the gingerbread houses, so we always wanted to visit during the holidays. DH is especially excited about the train!

Yes, layers are good. And every type of wardrobe is good! Difficult to pack for! Lol 2 years ago was also very warm...except for 1 day which was in the 50's! Yikes!! Then we've also been when it was steady 70's all week. I'm usually pretty comfortable in leggings, a tshirt and sweatshirt in the morning and at night. My kids usually are in shorts and layer on the sweatshirt. I guess we are all going to be watching that weather right before we go! And yes, you may want to keep out the tanks. Was 85 during some days we've been!

Is the weather forecast fairly accurate? I mean, if we see the 7-day forecast right before we go down and it's showing highs in the 80's for the week, can we generally trust that? Likewise if it's showing a day or two with highs only in the 50's or 60's, can we trust that as well?

Haha, come to Epcot on 12/5 and/or 12/9 and you can watch me do them after some of those drinks!!:rotfl2:
We made it drinking through half the world during our F&W trip in 2009, then quit like a bunch of quitters because we were full, hot, and tired. I'm hoping to be like Rocky this time and go the distance :tiptoe:

@areno79 - Darn, I'll be dancing through WS on Wednesday so I'll miss you! Although in January, we only had drinks in about half the countries too. The big dinner at Biergarten did us in! Server gave us our beers in to-go cups but we threw them out as soon as we got outside :-(

Pro tip.
We alternative stops. Meaning we would get food at one then a drink and the next. We went around twice. Switching what we got on the 2nd lap. It was good because we got both a food and a drink at every country, but with more time in between.

@Wolfpack - great idea!!

We're currently looking at the various Sandals resorts. We don't even have passports though, so obviously this will be a new experience if we do it!

I don't want to take the thread off topic for long, but if any of you have been to a Sandals resort and would like to share your experience (positive or negative), feel free to message me! :D

@Iowamomof4 - There are tons of advertisements in my area for Sandals, but I have never gone to an all-inclusive. I've gone on 11 cruises in 15 years (mostly Caribbean, but also Hawaii, Bermuda, Transatlantic). Like cruises because I can see different places, although now I've been to some islands multiple times.

my feeling is there may be some major update along with RoL officially opening... both of those parks have had their hours most in flux.

@Lisa F - no new updates!! I wish they would at least extend the SW dessert party by a week, but there hasn't been any update at all.

I went in mid-November of 2014 and it was FREEZING on the 4th day in (40's for 2 mornings). I went back and looked and it was 46 one morning and 41 the next (with high of only 60 on that day). We had to go to K-Mart or Target (I forget) and get hats and gloves. I wear hats for the sun, but I'm also planning to bring a stocking/winter hat, gloves, and scarf just in case.

I went through my ADRs and have to cancel now that plans are finalized. I'll list them in a separate post.

I have the following ADRs to cancel, but I'm in no rush so I'll post them here for a while and then on the December board.
