***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

We'll be :drinking1 and popcorn::....and party: all night long!

I'm a serious light weight but I do want to try the rum dolewhip! And some of the tasty drinks at the star wars party. :chewy:

There are so many tasty treats I want to try I fear I'll be rolling back home.:rotfl:
Me too!! There's too many good things to try! Need to learn how to prioritize and maybe not be so open minded:lmao:

Great find @Talby :thumbsup2 now i can add more stuff to my list!!! LOL! Totally missed the soft serve in France. It gets rave reviews as the 'best' ice cream from some people on the boards :) I actually want to try a cake pop too, never tried one yet for some reason:confused3

Edit: @JamieOak theres crime brûlée at les Halles too!
:worship: I so did not need to know that. Lol! I love creme Brule!

:offtopic:
Has anyone here ever thrown a gender reveal celebration? If you were to do on in Disney, what would you do? Keep in mind there will be 12 of us, so finding reservations isn't always the easiest (though, we're really now doing 6/6 and it's worked well)...

Disney doesn't deliver custom cakes to DS restaurants so we may need to cancel the RR and find something else for 12/3.

Any ideas?
(I'm playing catch up so sorry this is so late!)

Instead of a cake - could you do a gift or a box? You could get a pair of mouse ears, I believe there are infant ones in pink or blue, or an outfit or a stuffed Mickey/Minnie and have it boxed up and opened at a meal?

Is this a surprise gender reveal for you as well? I'm sure you could explain what you were doing, bring both sets of ears/outfit/whatever to a cast member and they could open the envelope and only ring up whatever gender.

We couldn't wait so we knew what we were having - I called the bakery and told them what color frosting to use. ;)

@Maryemcd I ordered long sleeve off shoulder shirts and 3/4 baseball tees, so not just a plain t-shirt (they are not so flattering, are they?).

@pigletgirl We have 3 meals planned at DS, two in the am and one late at night. I planned for one whole afternoon after a meal for shopping.

@Talby & @Candycane83 Those are great lists. I'm waiting to see what the offerings are this year to make a true list, but if I eat all that I plan, I'll need to be rolled out. As for the drinks, we are not big drinkers. I know there are a few I'd like to try and a definite is the
Blue Coconut and Sake Slush: Sake, Blue Curacao, Rum, Pineapple Juice, Coconut Syrup, and Banana Syrup (like a Pina Colada and a Rum Runner--but slightly more exotic thanks to the Sake).

@JamieOak I love crème brulee (prefer more interesting choices other than vanilla, but I'll take it)and have had it at WGPE, Le Cellier and Kona--all were very good.

Good morning! Had to wake up at 6am to check-in for my flight tomorrow morning and I'm on hold with the airline because my priority seat isn't appearing, so figured I'd jump on and catch up.
Wow, you guys were busy yesterday! For me personally, I worked another 12 hour day, then DH dragged me to this movie/restaurant in one place where I needed toothpicks to keep my eyes open.
I leave tomorrow for Tampa and still haven't packed, and work has been insane so not much Disney planning for me this week.
I was checking my to do list, and still need to purchase my matching and Christmas shirts and some custom mouse ears, make my mousekeeping envelopes, finalize my itinerary (come on with the SWGS already, Disney!!), put in my room request, get my room decorations together, and continue stalking ADR's.
I think that's everything on my list; what does everyone else have on their planning to-do list? I feel like I'm forgetting things, but it's early and I'm tired. LOL

@areno79  sounds like a tiring week! I hope you have a better week to come! Lol, I have a long list too, I just got the dollar bills but it's just sitting in my bag untouched.

@LBlovesM&WDW yes still waiting for the holiday specific snacks to come out too! I assume the Epcot ones come out after thanksgiving still? Is that sake slush from yesake? Sounds yummy!

@LBlovesM&WDW Ohhhh...now that looks good!! ::yes:: We ordered the 3/4 baseball tees too. My son was more on board with that (14yro and not so into the matchy thing! lol) ;)

@areno79 I have so much to do yet, I find myself wondering what the heck I've been doing the last couple months?! Although, if you add up all the ADR stalking and FP planning, and all the subsequent rearranging, I suppose that's a pretty significant chunk of time (maybe more than I want to know! lol) Safe travels to you and hoping this week goes at a calmer pace!! :hippie:

I have a question about these mousekeeping envelopes for anyone who can give me the scoop. We of course tipped mousekeeping last time we were there, but looks like I'm missing some cute/fun way to go about this. Can someone fill me in? I like cute/fun!! :flower:

@Candycane83 Actually this coming week is going to be worse. We're going to Tampa because we're rolling out our new phone system software, so we'll be there for training, and to show the associates and operations team how to use the software. I expect several 12 hour days while I'm there :( I'm calling it Hell Week. :worried:

@Talby I forgot to add planning my US/IOA day to the list! That's a pretty big thing to do!! I do the Mousekeeping envelopes every trip. Basically you print them on paper, fold them, insert the money, and seal them with a sticker or something. Some people just take regular envelopes and decorate them with Disney themes (stickers, drawings, etc.) I think it's a cute way to spread the magic, and is a good reminder for me to leave a tip before I leave the room in the morning! I've printed envelope templates from themouseforless, and themainstreetmouse.com. It's super easy, and when I've brought my cousins, they had fun decorating the envelopes, and were great at reminding us to leave it out. :)

Oh no! DH was a BA before he switched jobs right when DS was born. Implementation week (and after) were the worst! Good luck with hell week! We're here if you need to de-stress for a bit ;) :grouphug:

The spreadsheet was created before I knew about touring plans, which I've made good use of also. What I really needed was to see visually where the late nights were and early mornings, and then see how the spacing was between meals. It was getting a little tiresome having to count the hours between each time over and over. I think that's part of the problem of missing the 180 ADR day and now I sometimes have to take some meal times that I can get instead of having planned it out earlier.

I've seen people just print their TPs for each day and laminate them on smaller cards. If you wanted to take something physical with you, but since you can access them on the app that isn't necessary.

@JamieOak - I'm going to have everything on my phone and switch between TP and the DisneyApp, which is what we did last two times. This time, I think I'm also going to print out so I can put in other notes and snack/drink info. Haven't started working on that yet though!

@Maryemcd How about a list of 101 things? :D Although pretty sure @Candycane83's awesome list came very close! ;)

Kind of fun to have a visual! ::yes:: I've not seen many of the things I've read so much about.

YAY - going to work on my snacks/drinks list today.
:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: We can be drunk and stuffed together! Just kidding!

I would make sure to eat enough before drinking, that's for sure ;) and I would probably be more careful with picking my drinks since I can only handle so much. I have dole whip with rum at AK, margarita at Epcot on my list... and maybe a lapu lapu if I'm feeling adventurous enough at ohana ;) how about you? Any particular drinks you want to try?

:jumping1:

I can handle liquor better than wine although I like both (no beer except Stiegl Grapefruit Radler - Austrian grapefruit soda beer). I'm a big fruity martini and margarita drinker (see my picture). If I have one at home and lie down on the couch, I'll be out in 10 minutes, but if I'm up and about I'm not bothered by multiple drinks (assuming I've eaten or had some snacks). DH and I had multiple drinks in Epcot WS in January. We even tried the Aquavit shot in Norway!

My son and I will be at POP 12/2 to 12/10. . . going to MVMCP on 12/6. Excited--he has turned 10, so going to WDW and getting all the hand holding I can while I can get it!

WELCOME @PlutosUnDr8d (great user name btw). I'm taking my nephew this trip (12/2-12/8) who will be almost 11.

@Maryemcd I ordered long sleeve off shoulder shirts and 3/4 baseball tees, so not just a plain t-shirt (they are not so flattering, are they?).

@LBlovesM&WDW - good idea. I did start looking at Etsy for some iron on transfers. Maybe I'll try one on a shirt I can pick myself.
That Blue Coconut and Sake Slush sounds good! I do not like sake, but DH does. In January, we stopped at the Sake "cart" outside the department store. DH got the 3-sake sampler and I tried one that was sparkling and served in a champagne flute. That was good!

I have to change my plans to accommodate my friend's fast passes today-- really it was finding a time we could all fast pass for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train on our Friday Magic Kingdom Day. To make it work we will need to drop some ADRs. We talked and decided we're going to keep our earlier ADR for Crystal Palace at 11:45 am. To do this we're going to drop a few things. Does any of you think they could use a 1 pm Crystal Palace for 6 people on 12/9? Or a Be Our Guest at 10:05 for 6 people on 12/9?

I'm glad you were able to fast pass it together!!

I know you guys have all been sharing favorite snack options! I did find the 2014 confirmed snacks thread, which is ginormous but amazing! and I wasn't sure if it was shared here?

I'm glad you were able to fast pass it together!!
Thanks, @rasadkowski. It was a bit of a problem though. Our travel agent went in and did her fast passes and didn't even get her the ride! She claimed that my friends DD wasn't going to ride 7DMT which was never the case. She also gave my friend random things in Animal Kingdom that we didn't have so we only had one Fast pass together. I had to go in and fix everything for our two days together, but we're OK now. I just can't believe we each paid our travel agent for Disney concierge service to take care of our ADRs and fast passes and itineraries. I was just afraid when I booked my trip that I wouldn't know what to do. Oh well, what a waste of money.
