***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

I havent read the thread, but it Seems so strange that there aren't any fp for the princesses. I like @Iowamomof4 s thought that it could have to do with Elena of avalor! She's great, and id love that! Such a cute show :) plus, pfh is the only place to see rapunzel, right?

Is there a way to check if there is any availability for frozen ride on 12/1 without cancel my current MK FPs? Or can someone tell me if they can see it online if they are planing to be Epcot on 12/1? Debating on moving dates/park around if I can get frozen FP on 12/1. TIA

I think try modifying and checking the time but do not click on anything? (I haven't tried this yet but just read it somewhere on the FP threads)

anything goes. unfortunately disney DOES sometimes expand hours in that direction. They do it and it does screw up people with PPOs because then their ADRs are in prime touring time. They do not open the restaurants up an hour earlier for ADRs though I don't think. It sucks and a lot of people get stuck. No way to know what they will do til they do it.

I do think that the parks in general are busier in october because of the combo of food and wine with MNSSHP. The schedules are really kind of screwey this year with half of disney studios being closed and RoL not open yet but the other nighttime stuff at AK in support of that going and it's really your guess is as good as mine.
So two years ago we were there from Thanksgiving then all the way the following week. Going the same time this year. On our trip last time they did change the morning hours of several parks, MK for sure, from a 9:00 opening to an 8:00 opening. They only did this a few weeks beforehand. Many people were upset because of course it affected their breakfast adr's and first hour of the park plans. Know that's not what you wanted to hear, but they do do it. And from what I hear, they do it often. It's on my radar for this year, but I'm really hoping as well that the park doesn't open before 9 during the first week of December!

I was just thinking about this, and I was hoping it's safe to say that the hours will not change to an 8 am opening at least on 12/4 and 12/6 due to EMM...maybe plan for MK for these days just in case instead of 12/5.... Hmm

Looks like everyone's FP plans are shaping up nicely! Sadly I still have 11 more days until my FP day arrives so I'm living vicariously through all of you at the moment.

Wanted to ask if anyone thinks I'm crazy for just ordering these from Amazon:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HANX6JM/ref=twister_B00HZ146HU?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

I've been thinking about the unpredictable Dec. weather in FL and thought these might be a good idea for all of the various fireworks, parades, Fantasmic!, etc. have any of you guys ever brought anything like these. If so, were you glad you did? Or are they maybe unnecessary?

do they have them in big butt size? :rotfl:the froggie green is $6 less. I don't remember the concrete ever being so cold that it made me chilled through my clothing in early december. I WAS at Epcot on one NYE when it was 29 degrees out and we bought a blanket at mexico to sit on. But in the 50's and 60's - I'm from new england and I'm insulated, especially back there.

I had to swap 2 days park tour plans completely but I got Frozen Foever FP on 12/1. But I had to do test track without FP. New strategy is to catch test track right before park closes. That should help, right?

So glad I haven't booked any MVMCP ticket and has flexibility to change things around.

Not sure if anyone is looking but the dining for AK restaurants have extended to 7pm...
isn't close time 7pm though? so it's just catching up? or did they expand restaurants to 6pm when hours were expanded to 7pm?

These look awesome! I have been wondering what to do as well about sitting for a long time waiting for the mvmcp parade ...I did buy some things on Amazon for the trip, like some waterproof bags, so I don't know if I'm planning to buy any other "extras." I think these would be a great choice though. I'm hoping maybe just bringing a few thin blankets we can share to sit on that'll fit in our stroller..

Ha ha. I did not check for larger sizes. That's a subject I stay away from with DW.

I'm sort of in prep. mode right now so I've been looking for little things that might make our trip a little more enjoyable. Which reminds me......are any of you guys planning on bringing Holiday decorations for your resort room windows? Was thinking maybe a couple small strands of lights and some suction cups. Would love to get one of those small Christmas trees DW offers but my jaw dropped when I saw the prices so that's out!

That looks interesting! Never seen them before... not sure how useful they will be... it's already mid 50s here now and I don't think we need the heater yet... hehe
