***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

there are some cancellations posted for our week on the dining december cancellations thread. not sure if any of those help.

@JamieOak I just checked and saw there's a 12:40 for Sci Fi on Dec 5

Thanks ladies! I did just search that thread, but none for 12/3 around 3pm. I think I did see one on 12/3, but for 12ish and I think we'll still be at AK then. I'm following that thread, so hopefully something comes up. But so far besides the swap with Lisa on times, I've gotten everything just by stalking and refreshing the disney pages. It seems I first end up picking up a time that might work, then with persistence I find a better time and can trade them.

Actually, I just remembered I have my TP reservation finder set up for something I don't even want anymore. I guess I should go update those tonight.

I have noticed there are more cancellations being posted in our date ranges on the November/December ADR threads. People are starting to firm up their plans I think with FPs happening.

yeah I would pay close attention to that thread next couple of weeks. I have a few I will release when I book SWaGS but prob not anything anyone really wants.

Opinions: If we are only doing 1 sit down dinner in MK, where would you recommend for 2 adults? I need a dinner on 11/30, and the options are Epcot before heading over to MK, or in MK. I already have 2 nights with sit down dinners in Epcot planned and none in MK. MVMCP we'll do a QS dinner, not sit down. Right now I have us in Epcot until about 7pm and then hopping over to MK, but the time we hop is flexible.

I'm also trying to decide between a Garden Grill late breakfast or lunch on this day, so I need to work out my timing between meals as well as the likely snacking throughout the world showcase.

the sit down choices in MK are meh. how do you feel about skipper canteen?

I am not a fan of liberty tree's dinner menu (but love lunch).
plaza is ok but just ok (nothing i'd go out of my way for).
the new diamond horseshoe is getting good reviews now, it's more bbq than a repeat of LTT - but may only be open during very busy times
tony's gets really bad reviews, if you want italian i'd target epcot for sure
CRT is an amazing experience but very pricey and hard to get
and of course
BoG. if you could score one of those I'd do it, but it is a long shot.

I have looked at the SC menu and I don't feel we would enjoy their options as much as others.

At this point I'm thinking maybe trying for BoG, but I'll need a backup plan. I do not have any BoG in our plans at all. I started today looking for a lunchtime for our last day. I really want to get in there and see the place (lunch or dinner). So maybe I'll keep trying for both and see what happens.

My notes on CRT just say "Expensive" lol. No comment on whether we would like the food options or anything, just that. I might have to look again at the menu. Getting in the castle would be pretty sweet!

would you consider a resort restaurant? the wave is a hidden gem, no particular theming or view or experience but walkable to and from MK so might not be much further than anything else. Kona and GF cafe also get good reviews. I have never been to GF cafe, all of the pickled oak furniture in that place gives me the willies. #designerproblems

I'd do either BOG or Skippers. I have seen a lot of good reviews on skippers lately...

EDIT: Oops, saw your message after posting. I think BOG would be great if you could get a reservation. @Lisa F is right, resort restaurants would be nice too. :)

The only sit down in MK we've done is BOG. We loved Ohana so doing that again, and also doing whispering canyon this year. I'm excited to see the wilderness lodge!

I just got 720pm reservation at California Grill on 12/2. Will I be able to see any firework from MK party night?
not until 10 I think but yes! you can always leave and come back with your receipt the same night.

For 720pm reservation, can I show up and check in at 715pm? Figured with waiting for table and whole meal, we may just stretch to 10pm firework.

That's a great idea! I haven't gotten him his Halloween costume yet! Lol!

I'm getting bankrupt with pjs and t shirts... I bought a couple from the Disney store but more from old navy. They had a nice collection of Star Wars stuff for toddlers there! :D
I know I went a bit nuts for stuff for myself at Hot Topic the other day!

Need to check that out! The one at Eaton right? :) It's rainy weather these days so I might not get there for a bit... which means I could keep my money a little longer! :rotfl:

I am considering resort restaurants on other days, but I wasn't here. I planned to take the monorail from EP to MK, so a monorail resort wouldn't be out of the way. I am already planning to see all the monorail resorts during some sort of "bar crawl", but we weren't planning a full meal there so this would be different.

I wish I could get a stroller for mine but at 54" and 86 lbs... not happening... unless I get the big double from WDW which holds up to 100 lbs. but that looks like a nightmare to use (and uncomfortable)
Same. Dd is 49 inches and 63 lbs...yes she's 6 but a big 6. She is just going to have to walk.

Yes! I got a bunch of shirts on clearance. They have some super sweet dresses too (I picked up a Cheshire cat one which I will use as a tunic...as the skirt is short!)

My DD's costume. We found it at winners and it sort of looks like Annas coronation gown.
I can't post as I'm on my phone but it's cute. Tho now she wants to be Ariel. (She has costumes foe Elsa, belle, Merida, and ariel)
