if there is a surcharge it will be noted on the menu. As far as I know the only thing with a surcharge is the wagyu beef at Yachtsman. In the 2017 rules it states that any entree over $75 will incur a surchargeIs there a cap on entree price? For 2TS credit, you can get ant most expensive entree on the menu?
I've been trying to lay out our plans in a grid format and allow for 10-11hours between expected evening return to the resort and leaving the next morning. Is that enough time? I want the kids to sleep at least 8 hours.
This is making me rethink some of my days.... Specifically the day after the MVMCP. I'm estimating that will get bavk to our resort around 1 am. I had MK planned for the next morning but I'm thinking that a late start in Epcot might be a better idea. We were going to head over there for dinner anyway.
I don't want to end up looking like @LisaF in that picture.
I need this trip to hurry up and get here so I can stop adding things. Pretty sure we are gonna arrive on 12/3 now. I hope availability will open up where I can just extend our existing reservation. If not, we'll find somewhere offsite for the one night or try airbnb for the first time. And of course, since we'll be there all day on 12/4, I reserved a table for Sunday brunch at California Grill. I feel like Christina Yang of Grey's Anatomy. Somebody sedate me!!!!
How is the SDFP availability for Mission:Space in Epcot?
I'm working on a plan for our first day and I was debating between fastpassing Turtle Talk with Crush (mostly for us girls) or Mission: Space (mostly for the guys), but I think everyone would like to tour The Seas together so I thought maybe I'd do our fastpasses together for Turtle Talk and let the guys pick up fastpasses for later in the day at M:S.
Looking at availability for M:S for tomorrow for 2 people:

turtle talk is adorable and does sometimes amass a bit of a wait. it had less SDFP availability than the seas itself the few times i checked, i think they distribute less of those. How is the SDFP availability for Mission:Space in Epcot?

omg I want to see it. I will catch it on demand. i love that show!Did anyone watch the episode of Blackish tonight where the family went to WDW? It really annoyed me how they made it seem SO easy to park hop! LOL
This sounds like my DH and the way we do our trips. He says he doesn't want a lot of ADR's but he also likes to have a reservation when he is ready to eat. This is so true. M loves WDW, but also likes some semblance of a relaxing vacation. He already told me that he doesn't want to make too many ADRs. My thought is to talk about the next day before the cut off and let him know what the plan is. If he really doesn't want to do it, I will cancel (probably cry a little lol). I will make FP+, but won't worry about missing out on them if that should happen. I will not do a true touring plan, never have and have always had wonderful trips. I know where we'll be, have ADRs and will have FP+ and then we'll wander. If I told him I had our vacation planned to the minute, our trip would not be good for our sanity and our marriage, but to each his own.
Some of the signature restaurants will charge extra for certain items. For example, Narcoossee will charge extra for surf and turf.Is there a cap on entree price? For 2TS credit, you can get ant most expensive entree on the menu?
We have been able to get 4th fps for Mission Space without a problem. How is the SDFP availability for Mission:Space in Epcot?

The planner in me was annoyed lolomg I want to see it. I will catch it on demand. i love that show!
Thanks for the advice. I had the later times only because I doubted we could get 4th FPs, being that we are a bigger group. I just figured 3 would be it. I will take your advice and make them earlier.my one comment is that yoru FP+s seem awfully late in the day. Do you know once you use your first 3 you can keep making more? I can see not doing them first thing in the morning when things are more walk on (and due to the early riser issue) but certainly like 11-12 12-1 1-2 should work rather than starting at 2 in the afternoon? but you might want to consider making them a bit earlier in the day so you can make more.
I think for your 7DMT FP+ it will be hard to plan and you will need to take what you can get and plan your times around that. You can make FP+ for SM and BTMRR both easily after the 60 day window so I would see what you get for 7DMT and figure from there. In fact I would say that the ONLY FP+ that is critical for you to get right at 60 days is FEA and 7DMT. within a week I'd have peter pan and the mountains, soarin, TT, TSMM figured out.
touring with a group of 10 is tough.
Oh, wow! I have not watched it yet but j would be annoyed tooThe planner in me was annoyed lol
I love your child already! I'm the go go go type who hates taking a vacation in order not to do anything. This is one of the reasons why I get to go on a long trip- I barely took any days off this year! Lol! Your days look great though, it's mostly on the go with little pockets of rest. I find its tiring to wait in line more than it is walking around as I'm sure your son does too. If he did well with his father who does not plan that much, I'm sure he'll do great with uWhen I was married I would plan but we often deviated greatly from the plan. the ex used to tease me about all of my planning and then I'd switch everything on the fly. With kiddo it is not a good way to go, the more he knows what is going to happen next the better he is. When I took him in 2014 I had the stroller and it was great but he is too big now so I am also trying to minimize extraneous walking. He has low tone and he sometimes tires easily although he did great with his dad so I have high hopes. I would not worry so much if he could just rest when he needed to. I figure at the very worst I can rent one of those honkin' doubles if I NEED to but I really hope not to! what a pain! (I am a mom who NEVER used a stroller except at disney for my child... I baby wore and then made the little booger walk as soon as he was big enough).
Of course my child does want to go go go. There was no break in 2014, he wouldn't take one. he doesn't nap and barely did even when he was younger. That's why I am doing mostly full days with large blocks of rest, once he goes to the parks he won't want to leave til he is done. I am so excited about taking him, I can't believe how close it is getting!
Oh that's so cute!!! And great to have interest and he's willing to try something new too!! Wow!HA!!! I was looking around at some options for lunch on our MVMCP day and ds9 looked over my shoulder. He asked, innocently, "Whatcha lookin' at?" Me: "Oh, just looking at some lunch possibilities." Him: "Oh, like we could eat at Sanaa? Er... what is Sanaa like?" Me: Showing him pictures from the Disney website... "Oh you know, you can see the savanna and things like that." Him: "You can see animals? Sign me up! Or wait, what's the menu like?" At this point I'm DYING inside. You try for 6 months to get them to look at a freakin' menu and they wait until one week before I make fastpasses to suddenly take an interest??
Ugh... he actually thinks he would be willing to eat the grilled chicken breast on the kids menu. That's actually pretty huge for him (extremely picky, somewhat texture-sensitive). So, now I need to try to fit Sanaa into our plan.![]()

Sanaa also has mac and cheese as a side. This put me over the edge, I will pay the extra $3 to get a grilled chicken breast with mac and cheese on the side for kiddo. Also we will share the bread service. What kid doesn't love bread? it is huge and plenty for people to share and you can order more than one of the naan, which is the most plain kind (kids would love this, even mr. picky loves it!) All of that made me give it a try, I think it will be more successful than you'd think at first blush!HA!!!
