***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

I never found le cellier to be cramped and i have a big butt. I'm from nyc so maybe the spacing of tables isn't particularly generous between parties but... I dunno. I love it, just no time for it this trip.
LOL, that's a great way of looking at it. We should probably be fine... hmmm, choices choices.... anyone has any experience with Monsieur Paul?

I changed my return flight from 7:15am to 6:50 pm and added another park ticket to my pakage!!! :D we now have a 9 day park hoppers and the MVMCP!

Now I have a whole extra day at Disney to plan!! :dogdance:

I never considered pizza in Disney. I grew up in Manhattan no pizza can compare IMHO. Tho, we do have a few local brick oven pizza places here that are really good.

I considered both Hoop de Doo and Spirit of Aloha... but there is so much more.i wanted to fit into the schedule.

@Candycane83 No..wish I could help. sorry :( no experience really with any of the restaurants except biergarten :) :drinking1..but I am happy following these posts vicariously living through all of your whole day plans devoted to just ws!!! ((Sigh)) I'm hoping we can eat some quick snacks in the different countries at least! "Everyone! Finish up that egg roll! We're 5 minutes from caramel popcorn!"

Edit: sorry :) this was supposed to reply to you post about Monsieur Paul :)

Le Cellier has been M's favorite meal anywhere and he doesn't crave food very much. I also love their signature filet. It is a little tight in there, but I'm not worried about others, just my dining companions. I hope it's still as good as it was.

Via Napoli has been a must do and we even went twice last time. We love the carciofi and arancini and the desserts are yummy too.

HDDR is one that I've been to, but he hasn't. I'm hoping he enjoys it and I know he'll like the food and I am excited for the sangria ;). I chose the 8:30pm show, so we won't miss too much park time. I'd also like to see the decorated camp sites, so it should work out well.

Can I ask a random question? Our flight gets in before 10am. I know we can't officially check in to the poly for our rooms until the afternoon, but I was wondering... Do you think we would be able to use the pool that time while we're waiting? Or not until check in. Thanks :)

You can check in and leave your bags with bell services. You may even have a room available, never know. Yes, you can use the pool, so have a small bag for a change.

Sounds like Le Cellier is good... Everyone raves about the filet but I know one of us will have to order chicken or fish... Has anyone tried anything other than the filet there? :)

Just to add to @LBlovesM&WDW you actually could do online check in 60 days before so technically you will be checked in already. It's just if your room is ready or not. Either way I'm sure you can use the pool :)

I think snacks look like the best part of Epcot for me! TS may look nice but snacks look more interesting :) I'm sure we will all have snack pictures to post after our trips! I know I will be following @Lisa F 's dining report if she decides to do one! :D

[QUOTE="Candycane83, post: 56473029, member: 416990"By the way, anyone knows how to get a picture with the santas? Selfie with Santa in the background?[/QUOTE]

I have been trying to find this out and haven't stumbled upon anything. I may call to see if I can get an answer that way--I'll let you know. :) Guess what I did stumble upon though? Storytellers on Youtube. I only watched snippets because I want to be mostly surprised. They are ALL leading the pack now!! You know what that means...................:badpc:

ETA: sorry for the messed up quote--not sure what I did and can't seem to fix it! o_O

I just looked at timing and it's definitely impossible to do in one day... Some are only in the afternoon I think but we would probably get a better picture once the schedule is out (which is only 2 weeks ahead I think). I'm thinking now I need more time in EPCOT and may need to rearrange again! :rolleyes1:badpc: Such fun planning! I wonder if I should just opt out of going to AK a second night even if ROL does get released... cancel HDDR and eat somewhere at EPCOT... :confused3 By the way, anyone knows how to get a picture with the santas? Selfie with Santa in the background?

The last few times we have seen the storytellers most of them had time for pictures with them at the end.

Thanks everyone for the warm wishes! It's funny - everytime I had a spare minute I was trying to stay caught up on this thread, but it was impossible! I'm watching several threads, but haven't looked at any of the others so wasn't sure if there were any announcements about ROL, or SW desert or anything:) I've been pretty stressed, but thinking about my upcoming disney trip sure helps! You are sure a great bunch!!!

OMG, I'm so tired after the work week from hell. :sad2: I've tried to follow along, but my brain has hit it's capacity for intelligent thought.
Here is my input on the various topics of the day:
-We did HDDR in 2009, and surprisingly loved it! We were really skeptical going in, but the show and the food were a lot of fun. It was a great way to end our vacation. We're doing the same this time...going on our last night. I have never done Spirit of Aloha, but I would have if HDDR didn't open up.

-Our trip is 8 days this time (our longest one yet!) and I still don't feel like it's enough time. I'm guessing by our last day we'll be ready to come home though. We are usually exhausted at that point LOL

-I don't think we have enough "planned" Epcot time. We have almost one full day (starting at RD), and I left time open at the end of our trip to go back, but I don't want to overplan. We have 3 days (12/8-12/10) in which to go to Epcot again and really explore WS a little more. Those days I'm leaving open to go resort hopping, go to DS, etc.

-Thanks for posting the link about the Storytellers! I really think DH is going to be into it; he loves Christmas like I do and Epcot has so much to do surrounding the holidays.

Anything else I missed that was discussed? @jillyh I'm so sorry for your loss, and for the resultant issues with family. It's sad that so many people are only out for themselves. :(

i don't know the details of this but i have a 10:50 on 12/8 for 2 if htat helps. probably not I think you have more than 2 (and of course wrong date). but let me know if you want it :)
Thank you, but we leave Disney on the 8th.

We did HDDR a couple of years ago. My guys didn't want to go, but they wound up having a great time. Funny story though, I use a power wheelchair ( or ECV at Disney), anyway I did all this research on HDDR, handicap accessible wise. Got a table on the first floor, in accessible location, made sure the boat from MK to HDDR could take an ECV, thought I had the details all sewn up.

Beautiful boat ride at sunset from MK to the show. We were at the last show of the evening and it was really crowded. We let the crowd disperse after the show to make it easier to get out of there with the ECV. So we get our party back over to the dock to take the boat back to MK and discover the boat doesn't run that late. It's really dark out by now, but we decide no biggie, we'll just go to the bus stop and grab a bus back to MK. We had waited at HDDR for the crowds to disappear and with the trip to the dock and back NO ONE else is around. Our little group is all alone.

I don't know what we did wrong but we got lost in the forest on the wrong path. No lights in sight, and the little guys are to starting to panic. I try to calm the crew down "Come on, we are lost in the woods at Disney, after all" and we finally find a road. A dark, lonely deserted road. An argument breaks out whether to try to find our way back the way we came, hope that the GPS on the phone which just shows us as a blip at the Fort Wilderness will lead us to help or try to follow the road to civilization. I said let's just sit here for awhile and see what happens. The male members of the group make fun of me, "do I think Dudley do-right is going to ride up out of the darkness to save us? We have to do something, we can't just sit here". When out of the darkness headlights appear on the road. It's a CM in a van asking if we need some help! He in turn radioed for a bus that showed up almost immediately and took us straight back to our resort.

It has turned into one of our favorite family legends!

Hey everyone! I just posted this on the fp thread, but I wanted to ask here too!

Hi there!
I really apologize if this question has been asked recently. I have not read through many of the previous posts :(
I have a package booked for December, and I would love to see how the fp process looks on mde before my window opens in a few weeks.
I've learned that I cannot see fp availability or "practice" to learn the system until my actual fp booking day.
So.. I was wondering, I have seen some videos on YouTube that walk viewers through the process on their screens. I've seen so many, and each one seems to look a bit different. I know they are dated, but has anyone seen or recommends a certain easy to follow video or even just written walk through with screenshots that is UPDATED with the current mde website? Thanks :)

Hi all I took a few days break from the boards (busy!) So am 20 pages behind. :( question is the touring plans app worth it? I feel like it would help me.

Also I watched YouTube video of rock n roller coaster and tower of terror. I hate to spoil my surprise but I need to know if dd can handle them. I'm going to say yes to rnr and no to tower of terror (it looks like it would give me a heart attack!)
