***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Is it strange that I only got MVMCP tickets so I could enjoy more time on the rides? Seems like I might be the only one, which was the idea behind it so that I didn't have many wait times. We only have one day in MK our entire trip and that also happens to be our MVMCP day. I am of course excited to see the castle all lit up and will be watching the fireworks on Main Street. Maybe catching a glimpse of the parade while walking by. We're not into characters and probably won't watch any of the specialty shows.

@chasingthtdream08
I'm booked for one MVMCP for the low waits at the rides although we will probably fit in a couple character meets too.

OK....I've been trying to stay up with this thread, but you guys are BUSY!!! Just got my mom moved into assisted living - past 3 weeks have been a nightmare! My mom's husband passed away and his cousins went into the house and stole all my mom's credit cards / debit cards, computer and took every piece of paperwork they could find - so you can imagine the fun my sisters and I have had trying to piece the puzzle together as my mom is almost 90 and her memory isn't so great.

I'm now almost 100 pages back! So....going to do it backwards as I'm afraid I will have missed something timely if I keep trying to catch up from where I was! Can't believe our FP+ day is so quickly approaching!

@jillyh
That's terrible!! I know the stress of an ill family member and rehab/assisted living as we went through it 2 years ago (feels like yesterday). Thinking of you!!!

You didn't miss too much.... just us changing our plans a thousand times ;-)

Finalizing flights, travel arrangements, changing our plans, adding some days, waiting for SW dessert party, starting to plan FP+, changing our plans again....

That is terrible and it is illegal, too. I hope they gave the credit cards, etc, back to you. My grandmother's husband claimed that she died without making a will even though she told me that she had gone to the airport to meet the lawyer so that she could sign her will. Two weeks later she passed away and his family got almost everything. :( People can be very greedy.

I'm so sorry you're dealing with that. Some people suck. That's all I got on that and big disney hugs :grouphug:. glad you are back :)

@jillyh I'm so sorry for your families loss and the tragic events that has occurred since. I hope that you and your family are able to get thing resolved quickly and equitably.

I'm so sorry you've had to go through that! I hope everything has calmed down now and that your mom is happy in her new place.
We'll all be heavily talking FPs for the next 2 weeks I'm sure. I'm still not done planning which park for which day! I have 3 out of 7 days pretty solid. 2 more days that I'm not too sure I'm solid with the plans. And 2 days completely unplanned right now. I have another busy planning weekend ahead of me.

@jillyh so sorry about what happened! Must be so difficult on your mom dealing with a loss and then getting robbed! Some people are very greedy as wood nymph said... Hope you get everything resolved and get all those credit cards cancelled!

Random :offtopic:
I was trying to show my son pictures of Disney last night through someone's trip report... He wasn't too interested until he saw :dogdance: and he didn't want me to move the page :rotfl: he kept saying dancing bear! :rotfl2:

Happy Friday everyone! :dogdance:

That's pretty funny. Yesterday my DS6 looked over my shoulder and burst out laughing bc I was "reading about dancing bananas"
:banana::banana::banana:

2 weeks....oh wow, I hadn't really realized FP selection is that close!! Yippee!

Does anyone have any tips about EPCOT storytellers? Which ones are must dos? How would you make a plan of attack for this? Thinking about doing this one afternoon/ evening...

I will pm you soon about CRT. What day/ time for Ohana? and that is so cool about baking for your sister!! How fun. Good luck!:flower1: We'll all be here !!
Thanks again.
We are looking for a late breakfast on Dec. 6th for Ohana.

I can not wait for her wedding, it's too much work! Lol. It is really fun, I love planning and anything with weddings (I actually work for a wedding photography studio), but FP is 3 days after her wedding and I am the one who does all that planning and scheduling too.

I just started watching this thread and there was one post (at least) where someone talked about their favorite storytellers in Epcot! http://www.disboards.com/threads/epcot-at-christmas.3547186/
Thanks!! I think I've seen this thread but didn't read it yet! :) I like the last post about the dancing fountains! It's something DS2 might enjoy watching (rather than storytellers) LOL! Im just hoping he would nap in his stroller then... :rolleyes:

Found this tip in FB..... another cool thing to add to the list.

So here's a very little-known fun thing to do at Hollywood Studios - become an Honorary Citizen of Walt Disney World, by taking a citizenship test!! Stop by "One Man's Dream", ask the very first cast member you see for a citizenship test. Use the exhibit to complete your test (3 short questions), turn it in to the cast member at the end of the exhibit hall, and receive a certificate, button and your name will be written in their logs! Only 10-20 people do this each day out of the thousands that visit WDW - they don't advertise it, you have to ask. Have fun!
This sound like fun, thanks for sharing!
