***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Thought it might be fun to see how folks are divvying up their time at the parks for our upcoming trips. :D How is your balance of park days shaping up? Ours is looking like this:

MK: 3 days
EP: 1-1/2 days
AK: 1-1/2 days
HS: 1 day (plus a couple of hours)
DS: 1/2 day
Resort: 1 day (this is two 1/2 days)

Since we'll be hopping, it's not nearly exact:
MK: 4
EP: 3
AK: 2
HS: 2
DS: 3

Can you post your plans again? Maybe we can help you look :)

Ok :) here it goes!

Arrive 12/3 chef mickeys 515
12/4 Emm and 1900 fp dinner 410
12/5 ppo cp and Ohana 4
12/6 going to change this to AK.. Hoping for Tuskers bkfast
Yak and yeti 430 and wishing for rol :genie: ( this thing better be good!!! :smickey:)
12/7 Ppo akershus and 445 biergarten
12/8 planning for AK in the am....would prefer Epcot :) but probably just hang out twiddling our thumbs until mvmcp :) / poly pool
12/9 MK and BOG 515

We do not have park hoppers, and I could add them. But, I totally forgot about 11am ws opening. That is a game changer. I think I have to stick with my current plan and do as much of the ws as I can on our 1 day. It's either that or skip AK completely :( that's definitely not an option.
You know, I could always ask my parents to stay with the girls after bedtime, and I could go travel the world :) But, early nights are crucial!!!( for me too) Especially as early risers and with all the early breakfasts.

Oh well!!! Everything we end up doing will be great

Speaking of @Lisa F haven't heard from her in a while... seems strange without her here!
It does!! I miss the uniquely @Lisa F input!!
I was just wondering the same thing! She's probably taking a break from all of us asking her a bazillion and one questions!! :rotfl:
aw you guys are so sweet. I haven't caught up yet on the 7 pages but I've just been super busy. I brought kiddo round trip on the ferry on friday to his dad and accidentally got on a ferry in one town that didn't return to that town so had to make my way back. Then Saturday my friend flew in from Illinois and I drove up to boston to get her and we stopped at plymouth on the way back. Sunday we were out all day touring the island. Monday I had an off-island specialist appointment so antoher ferry round trip coupled with a ton of driving. Today kiddo had an off island specialist appointment and dropped friend back and airport. while we were 10 minutes away decided to hit the museum of science for a couple of hours (we have a membership) and then home. Just stumbled in. I am going to pass out and now work is going to be crazy so you may not see me much until the weekend. 8 ferry trips and about 12 hours of driving since Friday. :faint:

Ok, I think you could probably get your parents to stay with the girls on 12/7 after dinner at Biergarten. All your other plans can stay as is that way and you do not need to add park hoppers that way. Plus you have a relaxing day on 12/8 anyway so getting up early that day would not be such a priority. Also, Epcot is open until 9:30, you could see if you would like to stay until after illuminations or just leave earlier :)

Wow that's some busy days! Hope things get a little more calm in the next few days :)

Rest up! I think most of us will just be second guessing our plans over here. :rotfl2:

:crazy2: That's about all I've got to say about that...

If you can do this, that's a great plan! You'll already be in the WS and it will be getting dark - great time to grab a drink and stroll :)

Though DO eat your fill of the bavarian cheesecake before you leave Biergarten. Because YUM.

Speaking of :crazy2:, I'm pretty sure we'll be skipping soarin this trip.. I know it's totally not what so many suggested :( but I did watch it on YouTube, and I was getting nauseous just from the movie :( maybe in person it's not so bad. Does anyone remember body wars? Was it anything like that? I don't think I was ever more motion sick on a ride than I was on that one :crazy2::crazy2:......:crazy2:!

I know we can't do everything, but I'm already wishing for more Epcot time! Nothing is in stone just yet...
We love Epcot, too. We usually go there for late afternoon and evening. :)

You may want to double check the Illuminations FP. I feel like I just read a couple of days ago that they are no longer doing FP for the fireworks; the viewing space is now for the Illuminations Dessert Party. But, take that with a grain of salt as I'm on information overload today. LOL
I can get an Illuminations fast pass for Nov 12th, so they are still giving them out. I know that the fastpass area is right next to the area where they have the dessert party.

I know all families are different, but wwyd?
Have any of you done parks before parties with kids?
.
We've gone to two Halloween parties. The first one was with our grandson who was five at the time. We spent the morning at DHS, returned around 1-2pm, took him swimming and then he literally crashed for a nap. My daughter could hardly get him in bed before he fell asleep. We were staying at WL and we had a nice dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe before heading to the party. He lasted through the fireworks. The nap helped.

Last year we went to the Halloween party with our other daughter's children, a grandson who was 8 and our only granddaughter, age 6. These kids never nap, or at least this daughter never gave them time to nap. Anyway, we were staying at the Beach Club. I can't remember what park we went to in the morning, maybe it was Epcot, and then they spent a whole lot of time swimming at Storm Along Bay. We had a nice dinner at the Captain's Grille and then we went to the Halloween party. The kids were fine throughout the fireworks, but we pretty tired after that.

I remember body wars - it is nothing like that!! Body wars is more like Star Tours - jerky. Soarin is smoooooth.

I cant even sit in the back seat of a car without wanting to barf, but I was able to ride everything (including the teacups, and I spun those bad boys fast enough to make my 6yo dizzy!) without any issue just by taking 1 non drowsy dramamine every morning.

Thank you so much! this info is very helpful. :thanks:
I would love to get a fp for me and my husband If they're still available for dec!

Body wars....yikes...my father got so sick on that one year. I haven't done the new soarin, but I agree that original soarin was much much smoother and peaceful kind of experience than body wars could ever be.

I saw everyone talking about illuminations. Is it a special holiday themed illuminations in Dec? I've seen the regular one, it's really awesome.

I read somewhere that it has a special holiday ending, wdw prep school maybe?

We skipped all the nighttime stuff but F! last year, I'm really hoping the kids can hang for some late nights so we can catch some shows.
