***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Monday morning airfare is so much cheaper, almost by half! I'm going to have to run this by the husband tonight, and my mother who is house/animal-sitting for us. Now to consider hotel options. Easiest is to stay at the BWV, if available, or another BW room at least. Cheapest is to switch over to a marriott where I have enough reward points to stay free. But if we do make that the party night, leaving MK late and then dealing with getting to the Marriott might be a pain. If it's not a party night, then it shouldn't be a problem.

That's GREAT about the airfare! I always think how any savings along the way is more snack/souvenir money! :D Maybe you could use the dartboard method for making your resort selection? lol All great choices for different reasons! :-)

My eyes are bugging out of my skull because I've been analyzing 54,000 rows of data in Excel all morning, so I came by here for a break. :crazy2:
Talking about Disney is my happy place. *sigh* Anything new going on?

I'm not surprised. When I typed that I was just thinking out loud without any research. I just looked too through Disney and indeed villas are unavailable the night of 12/4, but I see they do have standard view BW rooms available. Originally, I had my heart set on staying at the Wilderness Lodge but I changed after hearing of the major construction and realizing the benefits of staying at an Epcot area hotel. The Wilderness Lodge has a courtyard room available for 12/4. That could be an option! So we'd definitely have to move for that last night, but do we just say our Disney goodbyes and taxi on over to an airport Marriott and stay free on points, or do we move rooms at the BWI, or do we hop over to WL which is a little cheaper than the BWI but still expensive. Decisions, decisions!

I feel like it'd be easier to move to another hotel on Disney property, but if money is a concern, go with the Marriott. If not, it's probably easiest to stay at BW.

You're singing the song of my people, sister! So done with work this week!!

I was wondering if it meant non-transferable to another person as well. That makes sense to me so you don't get people selling them en masse or something.
Yes! I bet people buy them up and on sell out day they could try to sell them for more $ :( btw.. Do these sell out often?

Ok.. So now that the party is on my agenda, im trying to determine which day. I think 12/9, our last night, would really be best as far as evening/morning activities and adrs..
But, I know a lot of you are going 12/8. I would really like to join the group, especially for prime parade parking! But, we have a ppo that morning :( is there a reason why 12/8 may be a better choice rather than 12/9? I thought maybe Friday nights would just commonly be more crowded... Oh!!! And 12/8 is $4 cheaper!!!:thumbsup2

Friday nights tend to be the most crowded parties, just because locals can attend without work the next day. A party ticket is cheaper than a 1 day ticket at this point.

Also I would not go the night before I had to travel. Too rushed with packing etc. Just me though.

plus. us :)

For me, I would rather go on 12/8 because I believe the weekend parties are going to be busier. Plus it gives us time to sleep in the next day if we want without feeling like we'll miss RD at a park.

What if you went to the 12/8 PPO as planned, then went back to your resort for naps, then came well-rested to the party? That might help your girls stay up later maybe?? :santa:

Fridays and sometimes Sundays tend to get more locals. Tuesdays and Thursdays are a better bet for sure.

Agree with this. Your girls are generally early risers anyway, just go to your PPO and maybe one or two rides then head back to the hotel to rest. Although it seems like a good idea to get back by 4pm to maximize party time you could do a little later than that just so they could rest a little more. :)

I am debating that... There's just no guarantee nap :) they usually would just fall asleep in the car ( they have never napped in bed... Ever! Not even as babies) so I'd just hope they fell asleep in a stroller. Not sure if it's worth the risk:confused3 then again, maybe just a rest is fine. The am is Ak which is not too much stimulation I'm thinking.

I think I'm now shooting for moving my party to 12/1, Thursday. Moving it from the previous Sunday. That makes it our 4th WDW park day. I will plan to not go to the parks except for using the MVMCP ticket, so the whole morning/afternoon will be a break day, which we VERY much needed in the plan! Basically only Tuesday, Thursday, or Friday are my options now. The first Sunday is our move to WDW day and the last Sunday is the night before we travel, so I don't want to plan a very late night. I'll say no Friday because as others said I bet that one is more crowded. I'll say no to Tuesday because Epcot is open until 11:30pm that night and I definitely want to take advantage of that for a late night. I'm guessing we will love Epcot the most. That's how I think I'm picking my party day.

I spoke to my husband and he liked the sound of staying at the airport Marriott with points instead of paying for another night on site. I just said "man you are no fun" and then he said "just plan whatever you want to do." So I guess i get to do whatever I want to do! :woohoo:

I especially liked her idea of eating at about 9:45 and grabbing a couple pastries to go. I think I'm looking forward to this event way more than MVMCP simply because it's easier for me to imagine the flow and what it will be like. Crowds are so NOT my thing, I'm looking forward to being in Fantasyland and being able to put my arms straight out and not be able touch anyone! I sure hope we can make it work. We have 2 days it works with our schedule (3, if we push it a bit) and I have a feeling it'll be hard to resist doing it a 2nd time, though the price will help curb that desire I'm sure.
