***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

When are you looking for Chef Mickey? I posted I have one to drop, but its not at normal breakfast time. It's 12/10 at 12:55pm and it is for 6! Don't know if that date worked for you.

Thanks, but we are there 11/30 to 12/4 so I'll be back home by 12/10.

Ok. Thanks. Good to know, not sure we were gonna do a EMM tho.
  • Assorted chilled fruit juices
  • Sliced seasonal fruit and berries
  • A variety of freshly baked breakfast pastries, served with butter, preserves and marmalade
  • Fluffy scrambled eggs
  • Spinach and mushroom frittata
  • Bacon and pork sausage
  • Cheesy potatoes
  • Puffed French toast with butter & syrup
  • Muesli with assorted toppings
  • Coffee, decaf, milk, chocolate milk and a selection of teas
they do

Hmmmmm.....now I'm tempted, lol. It's really more like fried dough than French toast, but oh so good. Thanks for looking. Where did you find that?

We actually value the breakfast higher because it does NOT have characters. lol :)
if you want to have an in park sit down meal that does not have characters it is a good option. the only other option is BoG which is $24 per adult for mediocre food, not sure what the kids run. but it is pretty much the same price as a non character buffet.

I know about the ride, but still enjoy it. A lot of talk about the ride being turned into another attraction. But they just can't leave stich out!

Glad to hear about the breakfast. Of all the visits, we're never been to the Ohana breakfast. However, DS and I are going for the first time in December. I heard a lot of good reviews. DS is really looking forward to meeting Stitch.

Had to chime in with @PolyRob and you on Stitch. He's our favorite character and one of our favorite movies. O'hana breakfast has always been awesome. Stitch at O'hana has always been a great interaction. This may be the first trip in forever that we aren't going. Hope your DS has a blast!

I'm glad @Tattylou mentioned the Minnie's Beach Bash breakfast. I booked a Minnie's Beach Bash Breakfast for our last day because I found one for 6 people at a good time (still looking for that 'Ohana though, LOL!). Have any of you ever done the Minnie's Beach Bash breakfast? It seems cute enough but wondering how it compares to the other ones that are not in a resort? We won't be in a park since it's our last day. I'm trying to avoid Chef Mickey since we will already have eaten there. 'Ohana was my number one pick, but the Minnie Beach Bash does look kind of cute and the buffet spread looks pretty decent. Not sure about 1900 Park Fare (it's not available anyway) but we would have had lunch at Crystal Palace the day before and the breakfast characters there would be Pooh again.

I have all of this (3 nights at Universal) and much, much more dining (DxDP) plus waiting for SW dessert party :rolleyes1

Seriously though, I think Memory Maker is fantastic especially when you want everyone in the picture! :) ADRs are all part of the experience. MVMCP... it's Christmas! :santa: No further explanation needed! and Universal... I'm a Harry Potter fan :thumbsup2

You're right -- I'm the primary photographer so I'm rarely in the pictures.

Ok, just now getting around to posting a change in plans. We are arriving 12/2 now instead of 12/3. I was going to stay at like Pop or POR for that Friday night and then move to CR Saturday. They've had rooms at the CR, but not the tower theme park view, so we would've had to move at the CR anyway. So, but thought hitting another resort would've been fun. But, I'm always on the Disney site and noticed yesterday that there was a room at the CR in our same category, so I called and was able to add it to our stay and just make our arrival day a day earlier.

Planning on just using Friday to either see resort decorations, swim if weather is good, or go to DS. I have 2 dinner reservations right now and can't decide. I've had Sanaa at 6:50 booked and just recently made one for Homecoming super early at 4:30. Can't decide which one to keep. Deciding how we want to spend the evening will help make that decision.

I've also changed our HS day to the next day instead of Monday morning. But, we had a lunch at 50's booked for Monday. Never been there, really looking forward to it. But, right now we have a 5:45 dinner at California Grill and the only available lunch at 50's that day is 2:30. Hopefully I can figure something out.

Is that the one at Cape May? We did it on our last trip and really enjoyed it. We were staying at Beach Club so it was nice and convenient. I loved the outfits the characters were wearing and we had great interactions with them. The food was good, too! :D

I feel your pain, I've been flip flopping on deciding what to do since I got my HDDR ADR :sad2:

I think IF you can find something for California Grill on 12/2, it'll fit your schedule better. I've read that it is easy to walk in Homecoming Kitchen without much wait, maybe you could go there or Sanaa after your DHS day for a slightly later dinner (so you get to keep your 50s lunch) :) Just my thoughts :)

Yes, it is the Cape May Restaurant at the Beach Club. Thank you for sharing your experience-- so glad the character interactions were good and the food was good too.

@Candycane83 your trip sounds fantastic! My DD really wanted to add a Universal day but I thought it would be too much.

Then I added all the extras to Disney. We'll have to save Uni for a trip all on its own.

You've read my mind. Switching California grill to 12/2 is exactly what I was thinking. I just hate to hold my breath for that happening. Could though, I keep, seeing lots of folks getting hard to get ADR's like crazy.

I think you would find something... last week I saw California Grill pop up for dinner twice... once 5:25pm, once 9pm (good time for fireworks!) so there's definitely hope!! :)

I see California Grill has a lounge too. And same menu. Is it within the restaurant or separate? Wondering if we walked up at opening if we could get in? Also wondering from anyone that has been if it has the same feel as the restaurant? Or should I just keep our reservation?

Thanks @BDFmom :) The reason why we're doing a longer trip is I doubt we would be back until maybe 5 years later... so trying to cram in as much as we can (with some rest of course). LOL!
