Dec 12 (home)
Breakfast: Chef Mickeys 7:30am (MK for an hour or so then leave)

On our last night, I'm thinking that if there's a dessert party at DHS, it might be a nice way to end the trip... or go to Flying Fish for dinner? What do you guys think about all of it?

looks good! I was thinking BoG would be better on party night rather than being so full from Ohana but... I don't know. the food at BoG doesn't excite me and if one has to go, it's going to be BoG I think. I just can't get super excited about the cuisine there and after looking at so many pictures I wonder if it will be anticlimactic. But not sure enough to give up my 5:05 BoG on party night yet.

IF RoL is a bust
and IF I can get an ADR for Saturday the 3rd
then maybe I can do Ohana for then and do BoG on party night. So just kind of waiting to see what happens now :)

LOL, I'm doing the wait and see game too. I'm thinking I might do 1 night at AK instead of the 2 I have planned and just do EPCOT that night... I'm torn... I wish they would hurry and get ROL and star wars fireworks going already, not to mention have the dining packages too!

I have someone who is willing to give me her reservation for 5:25 on Saturday the 3rd. So I'd hold that and Y&Y, IF the drop and pickup works. I think I might just wait to try it until the 180 has passed for my entire trip and I have cancelled my placeholder reservation because I think having two reservations at once might be what is messing up my ability to book online in the +10. I will call tomorrow morning at 7am to do CP and HDDR I think - not worried about losing the hour on that.

I just checked the star wars dessert party and the one going now does not have seating... Can't go for that :( might just stick with going to bluezoo or flying fish then deciding whether to go to EPCOT or DHS for the night...

well the person released it but it is not showing up for me. that is the second ohana i haven't been able to pick up. It looks like no BoG for me!

I tried the same thing with Ohana too a few days ago for the 3rd and did not get it too...

OMG that's crazy that Akershus would be going for $60! For that price I can book CRT! Now I'm wondering if I should add the dining package just in case. We're doing a TS meal every day, but I'm someone who tends to eat 2 appetizers instead of a main and DH and I normally split a dessert. Still, if prices are going up that much?! THough that makes Akershus a bad value on the plan...but makes my BOG reservations AWESOME.
I would not add it just in case. You can add it any time up to ... i don't know, pretty close to your trip. 48 hours in advance? I think it is a bigger hassle to cancel than add.

The only time I ever tried an arranged drop and grab with someone, it didn't work for me. I'm glad to know it wasn't just something I did wrong.

Ok so how close can I get CaliforniaGrill 10am brunch and Narcoosee's without feeling like puking? Would 5:30pm dinner be ok? I'm thinking of earlier dinner and have the option of going to AK for the evening...?

nope twice now it hasn't worked.

i read someone who said that for very htf reservations they don't put them back out in the pool.

I think it would be ok if you skipped lunch or just had something super light for lunch (think sushi or salad).

I think the rule of thumb I've seen has been 6 hours. I think for something like brunch I'd add an hour. 5:30 should be alright I'd guess. a little jealous about the ca grill brunch ;)

Hmm that's interesting. I wonder if it's like flights - they overbook knowing there will be cancellations?

i think she means with skipping lunch lol.

I am doing later breakfast, earlier dinner and using snacks in the middle. mostly.

I am feeling better about my Akershus lunch. Common theory on the board for A&E M&G is to RD them. Glad we won't have to rush through our princess lunch then, plus I am kinda excited about the lunch menu. The salmon looks yummy! The meatball dish reminds me of IKEA though lol.

I think the next thing we need to worry about is how to strategize the day in the park around ADRs. i.e. how many rides/shows can you fit in between your meals? :)

Also, no one is talking about Pop Warner. I am not planning to spend a lot of nights in the parks (one night each for MK, HS, EP out of 6 nights) so how bad is it going to be you think?

Oh LOL! I totally could do it with skipping lunch but I like to eat and I like to eat often. :) Remember too that for dinner there may be a delay in seating, ordering your food, waiting for it to come, etc.

No availability right now so again with the wait and see. If I could squeeze in another AK night then I probably would do EP the day after the party and just forget about Tiffins.

night time at HS is not on the schedule yet really but everything I could find had pop warner there on wednesday night with a private party.

for nights I kind of like for it to be relaxing a bit - mostly just focused on the nighttime shows. I will park WELL in advance for a good spot but then the problem is entertaining my kiddo. I think it went fine last time because he was tired and mellow by then.

what is A&E and M&G?

yes next will be FPs and basic touring plans. I'm not there yet except to RD soarin' and the land the morning of my GG reservation. Soarin' is the kid's favorite ride so we have to figure out how to do that more than once.
