***1st Week of December Thread ADR Plans, Park Hours, and dealing with Pop Warner***

Yes i am! definitely doing ohana on MVMCP night. only the breakfasts (maybe BoG lunch) are in play at the moment. sorry to be so confusing. I just cant' decide and want someone to decide for me.
I think we all want to be told what to do :) I keep flip flopping on my decisions... I switched from 10:10 to 9:55 back to 10:10 for garden grill today! Lol

I have not been to beaches & cream but I would not pick it for a date night either. Not a fancy vs. not fancy but i think it is small and crowded and lots of OPKs (other people's kids). It is unavoidable at disney but seems like kind of close quarters. Honestly if you want that kind of food I would probably walk over to the boardwalk and get similar food on the boardwalk (you are not on DDP?) and ice cream at the new place that is opening up, Ample Hills Creamery. The ice cream seems like it is going to blow beaches and cream out of the water. I bought into BWV with my ex for a reason, it's nice and romantic and not so packed in and the weather should be lovely that time of year. They have shows going on, and it's just an overall wonderful vacation experience... definitely one of my "aaaah" moments there.

@Mintycake I definitely agree with Lisa here. Ample Hills seem to be getting good reviews and their ice cream flavours look more unique. :) for food, there is plenty of other restaurants you can consider? Maybe Captain's grille (gets good reviews) or a restaurant at Swan/ Dolphin? Or like you mentioned, maybe somewhere in EPCOT?

All good points. I think I'm a little scared to leave DD at a kids club and then leave the property but then again, I do that every day when she's at school or camp! Okay....so something a little more romantic but close by. DH likes steak but I'm more a veggie/fish/pasta person. I tried to get Todd English Blue Zoo but it wouldn't let me reserve (I know that they have the 2 hour free kids club deal at Dolphin/Swan). Does anyone know if that kids club is as good as Sandcastle club? Or we leave Sandcastle club and head back to Epcot. What are your favorites?

that is barely a flip! though if I could do it without having to call I might be doing the same, lol. I have 10 on the nose, figure that is enough time to get in soarin and living with the land. I <3 the Land pavilion.

I'm considering bluezoo for our last night too so I researched on reserving it on OpenTable. You can book it at 181 days. I looked at Dec 4, lots of availability. Not sure why it's not on disney's site but try on Wednesday. I'm sure there would be plenty of availability.

have you stayed at BC before? boarwalk is like a 10 minute walk away... you are leaving the BC but you are closer than you'd be in an Epcot restaurant!

don't know a thing about blue zoo though.

the swolphin is not disney property, that's why! nothing there is on DDP or under the disney dining umbrella at all.

Lol I thought of the same thing, except instead of soaring, I want to meet Baymax as well as Joy and Sadness before breakfast. I thought about it and i think a little later would work in our advantage since we'd rather be early than late :D

@Mintycake are u using DDP for this meal? I suggested this without considering this, sorry. @Lisa F its strange though, I'm not looking for restaurants in the plan only and it still says its unavailable for Dec 6?

EDIT: I actually looked at OpenTable for Dec 4 as a gauge and there's plenty of availability but none on the Disney site...

@Mintycake how about Yachtsman? yes it is a steakhouse but their non meat options sound scrumptious. Lobster, halibut, scallops are 3 different entrees and also a veggie dish that sounds delightful

Potato and Leek-stuffed Anelli Pasta

Quince, 62.3° Egg, Petite Vegetables, Truffle, Sage-Brown Butter

and the sides sound great too... I could make a meal of the truffle mac and cheese and an appetizer

My Kiddo loves sadness. and he loves Soarin'. I might have to do this at rope drop and then FP soarin for after breakfast.

I dont' think she is using DDP, I just mentioned it as part of how they are not under disney at all :) maybe she is, I can't keep track, but I don't think so.

Ooh yeah I heard that line ups foe Joy and Sadness is best first thing in the morning. Although by Dec, I wonder if it would be fine all day since every one would want to meet the frozen sisters... I guess we would know by the summer... I would love to ride Soarin' but I doubt my son would reach 40" by Dec! Lol!

I hope so. My child did not like frozen - wrinkled his nose and said it was a girl movie. My bf calls it wicked on ice (he is a disney cynic and not involved in this trip). I'm the only one who liked it :) actually bf liked it too, he's just sarcastic :) BUT kiddo LOVES sadness. and baymax.

True, I think it works out for her in terms of the kid's club though :) I like using OpenTable since I collect points and found out through an earlier (while getting hard to get reservations in San Francisco) that they open reservations at midnight. :P

I'm hoping my 2 year old would like them. He knows Joy and Sadness and says 'no cry' when he sees Sadness right now. Since there's no fast pass for that, it would be nice to get rid of it first thing in the morning. :) I'm thinking I could still take my 2 year old to frozen ever after just to check it out. I don't need a fast pass for Soarin' or test track anyway. :) hmm is living with the land tier 1 too?

I didn't even know Joy and Sadness were there until this thread.

Is frozen ever after the old norway ride? lol that's how clueless i am. Soarin' is his favorite ride and he loved TT as well but we have two epcot days plus another evening so there should be time to do all.

I don't know if living with the land is still tier 1 - it was for a while but with Soarin' back on line maybe not. Regardless I think it is one you can walk on many times of day now that Soarin is running again.

Yes it's the old Norway boat ride and is a tier 1 fastpass...
I just read about joy and sadness on these boards too. I think I saw one thread asking about how long the waits were these days and the responses were 1hr+ during the day.
True, hopefully... It's one of the rides I experience as a kid and really enjoyed. :)

I haven't used one, but I have several friends/family who rave about the kids clubs. The adults get a date night, the kids have a blast.

You may want to ask on these boards to get some more input, but from the people I know there's been nothing but good reviews!

Oh my goodness you are lucky!!!!!! It's not that I didn't like the movie...but after 3x at the theater and 300 times on dvd, I was kinda over it.

I actually did go buy a Disney infinity Elsa though, just so our elf on the shelf could "freeze" her. That was def one of my son's fave elf moments, although I did have to give some quick story about how she got in our house in the first place.lol

Anyway, son is no longer a huge frozen fan, but the ride will still be a must for us.
